It warms the heart to know that Chris Moyles cares. Our family is amazingly disappointed that SiriusXMs’ has not returned BBC Radio 1 to a full-time channel on their satellite service. Sirius XM's has a complete lack of respect to their investors and customers as well as a lack of dedication to the future of music and their promise of diverse programming.  I hope that one day Sirius XM will provide an unparalleled listening experience by restoring BBC Radio 1 to it’s satellite radio service.

Thanks to whoever it was that took time out of their visit to the UK to visit the BBCR1 studios, and thanks to Chris and Dave for mentioning it on air.

I was a loyal 5+ year customer of SiriusXM solely for their time shifted broadcast of BBC Radio 1. When they abruptly dropped this service without notice or explanation on August 9th 2011, I cancelled 2 subscriptions. There is nothing comparable on SXM's lineup IMO, and certainly no content I'm willing to pay for. Their CS is a joke too.

Shame on Sirius and shame on the BBC. Everyone is losing out because of this decision, from Sirius, to BBC Worldwide, to the artists and the DJs, and most importantly the loyal fans and listeners.

It boggles the mind that a company claiming to be a premium provider of music, talk, and entertainment, would not be falling over themselves to carry something as unique, fresh, and dynamic as BBC Radio 1. Now it seems they just want to "give away" subscriptions via new car sales rather than invest in the future of the format. What happens when new car sales tank? When consumers don't turn those "free" subscriptions into a revenue stream? Why pay for inferior content? #bringbackbbcr1
