It's really too bad that this comic con teaser was better than the entire movie. I don't say that because I'm old school, I say it because the true uniqueness of the original TRON was the way real computer functions were portrayed by characters and props. That innovation is lost in Legacy. I mean really, why do Recognizers need rockets to move?

@Trendkillertrendy Because Kevin Flynn designed the "new system". They said in an interview that they wanted it all to look like one person designed it - that person being Flynn. If he designed it from the ground up, don't you think he'd use design elements from the real world? In the real world things don't hover just because.

This segment wasn't even in the film! And, Tron: Legacy, with its rubber ducky wardrobe. and black and white striped sets and vehicles was far easier to make than Avatar. Both suffered from use of the unecessary 3D, as do we always the extra 5 bucks. I myself made a set of worlds and characters that almost look like the Tron Legacy movie and game in just a few weeks. It was easy! So, I put it online to visit and chat with friends. I am so lost in it, my name is changing to Kelvin McFlinlay!

So whats the deal with this? Flynn had a son, and then got lost inside the "system", where his alter-ego programme CLU has become the new dominant powerhouse since the collapse of the MCP. His son goes in to the system, battles his way through the arenas, defeats CLU and saves daddy? If so, the plot sounds awfully lame, I hope the graphics are sufficient to hold the film together. And yes, the new bike sound effect sounds like a digitised Harley Davidson..... disappointing.

The black background and primary colors and angulated forms have changed and now is a world with clows and sky atmospheric looking, and the lose/die phillosofy have been changed into a new smooth and realistic thing wich is not the tron inspiration.

The ORIGINAL Tron would've been JUST as graphically enhanced if it had been made now; the reason it didn't have clouds and realistic scenery is because LITERALLY, the computers weren't good enough back then. The original was way ahead of its time.
