I am sobbing right now. Gibbs is definitely a father figure to Abby, just as Pauley said. It's awful to think the man whom you love like your own father killed someone in cold blood, but Abby being Abby loves him anyways Pauley and Mark portrayed this scene perfectly!!  this scene!! Gibbs, Abby, and Ducky have been together through four NCIS Directors. To me (and I know I'm alone in this), that many years together as coworkers only means that they're that comfortable around each other to open up intimately and in ways only understood by each other. In some ways, they manifest themselves as F/D and in other ways as just great friends.

Either way, it's love.

I think the relationship.could go either way... Which ever way u see it, thats what it is for u. Sure I think its romantic, but that dosnt mean someone is wrong because they think its father daughter. Its just ur personal preference in my opinion. Abby is too young for Gibbs even though she may date older guys, but when the actress herself says that Abby views Gibbs as a father you just gotta go with it! IDK there is so much more that going on here REGARDLESS if she said like a daughter THAT word should have NEVER been scripted it ruined the moment but you can't see Fathers/Daughters do this if the writers think so; THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THEM.

Father/Daughter? I'm not buying that. I think Abby was fishing and Gibbs knows he doesn't feel paternal about her. The writers/creators could've so easily put all the spec to rest by having Gibbs say he loves her like a Dad, but instead, he evades. I think the show would like to explore Gabby and move their relationship toward a romance. I think they may just be afraid of the noise of the haters and CBS brass.
