  • everybody has to agree W/ ME and that MY opinion suits thought cooperation BEST. there is no way your little punk scene has room for everyBODY'S CONSCIENCE, BY FAR. I may be the voice of reason but in no way am I singing "in the back of my car, kick me into jumpstart, kick me into jumpstart" Guys I can't help it that I am a negroe Canary derived mommy that bred with McCullar! It does not make you Coach Amado! "You boys think just cause you've got some hair on your nuts that you are men already."

  • For one, the album is being released next year.

For two, the direction they're taking with the band very closely resembles Neon Blonde, another project by the singer, Johnny Whitney. I wouldn't classify him re-exploring something he's already done in his musical career as "hypocritical," but your mileage may vary.

  • Not exactly. They are looking for media attention and that is exactly what The Blood Brothers bashed.

Past Lives (Other singer Jordan) has stayed true to the underground, but Jaguar Love is just disappointing.

Johnny himself said they are going for a def leopard/daft punk sound.

I wouldn't classify that as Neon Blonde.

    NB actually sounded good.

  • Media attention isn't bad, so long as you don't go and compromise your art to get it.

I think Jaguar Love rushed their first CD out the door, but I still love some songs off of it.

Why is it so awful to have mainstream influences? Johnny's been increasingly about pop orchestration while maintaining his surrealist and bizarre lyricism and singing style. That doesn't exactly scream "OMG WHORES," it just says they're shooting for a style with even more dichotomy than it had before.

  • Except that Jordan Blilie doesn't have once ounce of originality in his lyrics and Past Lives have yet to produce any worthwhile content. We all know that Johnny and Cody were the creative force for the last two Blood Brothers albums, and if you can't recognize the only noteworthy aspects of that band were Johnny's vocals and lyrics with Cody's experimental guitars, then you're in denial. You're just scared that people outside of your little punk scene are starting to enjoy a band you liked.
