From what I have read the clouds formed a shelf-like appearance and there were small vortices of 'funnel looking' clouds. Not your typical large funnels that you would normally see in cyclones. Thanks for watching. Deb
thats so devastating same what happen in Manila Philippines last September 2009 and it seems that nature sometimes hav a thing called testing our faith to cling on things what we have!no matter how strong we are if nature takes his revenge,we dont have a control of it!yay!Melbourne is such a fascinating city in Australia!i dream that someday i can visit Australia!my employer before in the Philippines is from Wollogong.and we work together for 5 years!i would say he is a great Aussie!
@noypok seems like nature is testing us more and more doesn't it. Fortunately no one was badly hurt in the storm, but you know many people are still waiting for insurance claims to come through so they can re-build. I think that is a terrible shame.
Melbourne is a beautiful place to live I hope you visit one day.
Melbourne Storm reminds me of the disasters happening all over the world which is really alarming...Melbourne before the storm really looks great! It reminds me of my visit in New Zealand. There's a lot of similarities. I definitely plan to go to Australia soon. Thanks Deb for sharing! Great video! :)
wow, you guys got hit hard. yes, weather patterns are revealing the greater changes going on in this age we live.....sends chills.....great song for the vid. "Umbrella" however i am not sure an umbrella would have helped much against those hailstones! Here in nh we got hit hard with SNOW........its still on the ground as I type...the earth is speaking to us all.....
New Hampshire USA......live near Mt Monadonock which is the 2nd most hiked mountain in the world after Mt Fuji in japan and a major snow belt region...we got alot of snow this year,.alot

oh My god Deb, I am glad to hear you are all okay. so many natural disasters happening all over the world. After abusing our planet for so many years, mother earth is starting to rebel against us. mankind is finally starting
to try and correct some of the damage but it is too little, too late as the saying goes.
That is so true Di. Global warming has changed our weather patterns ......and look at all the earthquakes around the world ...it's terrible. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Wow I saw a bit on the game St Kilda Vs Port yesterday on TV but I did not realize that it was in fact harder. Well I hope that you and all your family are all good and it gets dried soon :)
Great video, Deb!! The storm was pretty epic... The HUGE hail stones actually went through the back of my Mum's friend's car!! It was a new car too... Anyway, awesome video and great song choice! Ellie x
WOW you got some amazing pics...especially of the hail comparison....
Thank you for sharing a bit of Melbourne I have not seen before...I would love to visit Australia one day But...even if I never have the opportunity to do so...I feel I am a bit closer to my journey every time you post one of your incredible vids...Thank you, Deb, for your favorite things.
Thanks so much Carol. We saw the aftermath in the city yesterday......huge puddles, mud and leaves everywhere. Flemington Racecourse was the most amazing sight as it is usually resplendent with magnificent flowers, and it was covered in a carpet of hailstones!! The temperature was warm too in the mid 20C with high humidity......really weird day/ ~Deb~
@Markito425 Sorry for the late reply Marcos...thank you very much for your comments. Blessings to you and your family also. Deb
