Mary also knows how to pronounce "Iberville" correctly. I'm glad we have this version.
A mesmerizing song, full of imagery and wordplays. A ferocious indictment against the cash crop economy. And Gauthier is so talented that she has quite a few songs even better than this one.
i love this woman - one of the greatest talents anywhere today - nice, edgy style - sort of a Dylanesque talk/sing - and her poetry, well. . .it doesn't get any better - just impeccable - highly recommend 'falling out of love', 'wheel within the wheel', and at least 2 dozen more - they are all great.
