i guess that the Bb-7 chord you're using is not exactly the right one. If listened to this song many times and I don't think it's exactly the chord Stevie uses. Maybe I'll transcribe it and tell you what I found out.

There are already a lot of tutorials on YouTube geared towards beginners, but I find medium or highly skilled players can't find videos that challenge them. I try to gear these towards that crowd. Anybody can learn the basics if they get some lessons then come and study my tutorials

@showup280 i think you could be okay with this piece, especially the start (the first 3 harmonies)... he plays the left hand in a block chord style which will be easier for you to play... as time goes on you could play the root in the bass, sustain it, and play the rest of the harmony an octave higher

@showup280 Your best bet is to get a easy piano book, sounds good but it dosen't use all the chords of the advanced players. i have been playing for 6 months and it has helped me a ton. It keeps your interest up because your playiing modern music and it gets you to understand the chords that you would use in more advanced music

It's all about the pressure that you place on the keys. All the notes of a lick should not be equal volume, you should put emphasis on certain notes. Once again, this is an individual thing, just play it over and over until it sounds good to you.
