  • My first play EVER was The Hobbit!!!! I was in kinder-garden!!! I was biffer!!

  • The interpretation of "We must away ere break of day" in the movie has exactly the type of mystical, whimsical, chilling quality it has in the book.

  • all these songz and images give me goosebumpz! YAY HOBBIT!

  • Do you know where I could get the actual soundtrack to the movie? Is it on CD?

  • This is awesome.

  • Thank you for the trivia; it's quite amusing and brings back memories of being a Tolkien fan long before Jackson's films (which are awesome in their own style as well). I recommend an update on the question, "What do these runes explain?" A better question is "What does Elrond say these runes explain?" The film made a big mistake by giving the wrong reading for these runes, which actually describe the height and width of the door, not how to find it. I am looking forward to the ROTK trivia.

  • This is brillliantly-made, really. Congrats!

Sure I sucked at it, but I loved the production value, and hearing and seeing those things again.

  • If you ask what Bilbo's last name is, the song kinda gives it away.

  • its not about the book its about the movie and i could to LOL belive i was giving awnsers to both

  • I confess. I have never read the books. I really need to make some time for them. Anyways, I intended the trivia to be based off the Rankin/Bass Animated Movie version. So I think it works.

  • wtf u know what...i found a typo in the actual book. they spelled gollum like this *goleum* haaaaah if i tell christopher do u think he'll give me money?

  • they also called orcs goblins. could be just one of those things they changed from the hobbit to lotr. Infact, at the first of the hobbit i belive bilbo makes refences to these great worm like creatures (not the be confused with dragons) but you don't see them anywhere in LOTR plus theres the giants that threw the rocks at each other when the party tried to take refuge in the goblin caves.

  • The goblin song is so awesome. "So the dwarves shall die!"

  • man, thats a movie, and i´ve seen it. i downloaded it from piratebay couse it´s not for sale any more, it´s pretty good infact! atleast you can see the trailer here at youtube, search for "the hobbit (1977)" or something

  • THE WARGS!!!!!

  • Oy! I missed eleven from this vid and I just watched it last night! Must've been the ale!

  • cool I got all but 1 right & even then the 1 I got wrong was asking for 3 names & I managed to guess 1 of the names but it was fun

  • cool video. The Elf king is Thranduil, who happens to be the father of Legolas. And Gloin, one of the thirteen dwarves is Gimli's father.

  • omg O__o!!! i didnt know this existed! plzzzz post the movie n__n

  • Bonus Question for readers of the book where do the Eagles take our adventurers after rescuing them.

The movie has one answer the book has another.

Tom Bombadill wasn't the only person at the edge of a wood left out of movie adaptations.

  • Beorn

  • I also commented in the next part. ;)

  • Nice game. I missed 1 (the last one)

  • I missed 9! But two of them were two-part questions that I got half right, so I guess that makes 8. :)

  • can someone post the full animated movie?

  • Dear lord that movie is old. I have what appears to be an endangered species of VHS tape on it. My grandmother owned it before me for a while though.

  • old? It was made in like the 70's! lol, I guess that is old, it is a couple years before I was bourn, but not many! lol, now I feel old!

  • Love this movie, love the trivia too. Apparently I'm an experienced Rohan Rider. I need to watch it again, I grew up with that movie. (It takes ages to find the soundtrack.) ^_^

  • nice i loved this movie as a child i also thoved the LOTR one i can wait for your next vid

  • I really enjoyed this. I must point out though, Gandalf was not summoning the Lord of the Eagles, he was getting ready to leap down upon the goblins and wargs below. And he had thrown pinecones, not acorns. But truly I enjoyed it.

  • Awesome! Just still frames, but I think I love the real soundtrack in there.
