  • 4 A-holes have never served...

  • I am proud of our servicemen, especially my best friend who is in Afghanistan as I speak, but this song is incredibly fucking gay.

  • @jowston100 ,....Well,..I served in the Corps,..in combat,..and I don't think it's gay at all. She's singing about her brother, who is serving. She loves him. I hope someone thought about me that way, when I was deployed to a combat zone. Nope...not gay at all.

  • SEMPER FI!! My son is a Marine. He did 2 tours in Iraq. I am so proud of him for serving our country. You should all be grateful to all of our servicemen and women

for keeping us free!! Thank You Chely, this song says it all!!

  • Im currently in the united states army, station at Ft. Stewart and I have a twin brother that is in his 5th year of Marines Corp. and everytime I hear this song I think of him....we both are proud that someone has put a song out like that is sung by someone that knows what soliders go through when they are deployed...Thank you so much for putting this up .

  • Since oil production peaked in the US 40 years ago, the US needs to get its fuel from other countries to gas hungry SUVs. The theory is that invading Iraq is more about oil and power than the war on terror. This is not a popular idea.

  • Thank you Chely. Your song was featured this past Friday at my son's MCRD Parris Island graduation...I never forgot it even though its been several days. Thank you again!

  • I got a bumber of the United States Air Force of the back of my SUV!

  • Semper Fi

  • solid song! Good job

  • Excellent song.If you do not want to support our Marines, sailors, soldiers or airmen, please,by all means feel Free to stand in front of them.

  • i'm a militarty brat and my kids will be too, because my future hubby is in the army in korea now coming home in may but going back and this song is exactly how we both fee about the troops! PFC Osborne, I'm here waiting for you baby!!! My heart is yours forever! You are my bravest soldier!!!! Be safe! I fight for him and all my soldiers while they fight for our rights...bash them and you're pissing me and their families and that's coming from a military future gf/wife, a sister and friend

  • Its not "installments".... Its "installations".... Pretty darn close in spellin, huh? Eh, harmless mistake =)

  • Dear Chely Wright, You are an amazing woman. Thanks for being you and spreading your love through your wonderful voice and your amazing music. You are a staple that will never been forgotten. Thank you so much. Love, an avid fan.

  • I lost a good friend to this war and when she performed at our county fair a yr or so later she found out his mom and dad was in the stands and she dedicated this song to them. The first time I heard this song it brought tears to my eyes and I had to pull over. R.I.P Marine Lance Cpl Jon Etterling. You are missed by all who knew you. I know I miss you

  • this is a very fitting video for today. and its very true

  • I'm a Marine mom and this long ago brought me to my knees..........cux it's sooooo true.........

  • GOD BLESS YOU CHELY!!! That song touches my heart, my husband has 31 yrs under his belt with the TNANG and our youngest son is a PROUD MARINE, serving overseas, THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! I too have a bumper sticker and I display it PROUDLY!!! GOD BLESS ALL OUR TROOPS, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO IN SUPPORTING THEM!!!

  • I'm in the NAVY and really appreciate this song

  • Im Not to long coming back stateside Myself from the sand I'am a Marine with 2/5 and this song does hits home for a lot of us because most Americans dont understand why we fight nor do they care so I say Semper Fi to the one's that Do and For the Rest this is why we fight for you so your Son's Can Go to School And Party Why the Real American Boys Go and Fight. HOORAH

    2ND LT. WILLIAMS

  • Why in the HELL is everyone trying to turn this song into a political statement or a pro war or anti war statement......yall are all so full of crap!

She wrote this song inhonor of her brother who is a Marine Corps veteran, as am I.

I served and my son serves also.

Just appreciate this song for what it is meant to be!

    Thank You Chely.

And Semper Fi to my brothers in arms!

  • what most people forget, is that because of our military, YOU have the right, to voice your opinion.

  • I, too, have a USMC sticker on the bumper of my SUV in honor of the one I love who served.

  • Youtube "Stick Magnetic Ribbons on your SUV"

  • " i try to beter understand " exactly my words.

  • This song blows, Sounds more like she's reading a story to music.

  • Chely does NOT want war and is not necessarily Republican or Democrat. She admits that she has questions. I'm opposed to her SUV. They are gas-gussling air polluters. ;) Yes, how about a sticker that says we prefer a peaceful resolution, but thank you to the men and women who are trying to bring about peace & freedom for all.

  • I like Chely but I agree with DarkWolfen there is something about this song that is grating. Is she trying to make the point that rich people are anti-Marine? Most rich people are Republicans. I think she should have a bumpersticker that states "I support the troops but I hate the war."

  • God Bless America. God Bless the United States Marines.

  • Just think you wouldn't have this song if it wasn't for that "Woman's middle finger". I'll bet you've made a bunch off that womans gesture.

  • I love this song and as a military wife I can appreciate the meaning behind it ( sure we may all have our own interpritation). I have had a few incidences because of the stickers on my car supporting my husband my normal response to those people "ill be sure to tell him thank you from you for the job he does that aloows you to have the freedom to speak your opinion".

  • Typical political pandering. Funny when the Dixie Chicks did the same thing these same people that liked this song, got mad at the Dixie Chicks for being political. Hypocrites.

  • The point is that Chely is speaking to those who judge. That may or may not have been the minivan woman's intention, but you're missing the point: If the shoes fit, wear them.

  • I was in the Marine Corps and I appreciate the video. She is making a valid point and if you don't like it don't listen to the song.

  • You missed the whole point of the song. You are an idiot.

  • @JNUNNY1 Don't sound like your a very good Christian.Jesus loves us all!!

  • @JNUNNY1 Wow you are reaching there for that interpretation. You didn't see the big cross hanging from her neck? She is bashing the lady in the minivan for being a hypocrite christian. her rich part of town reference was to bash limousine liberals because that's who lives in the area she is referring too.

  • Agree w Mikeman, Where does she say she knew why the person flipped her off? (MIN SEC MARK??) It's not in the song. Maybe she told it in a speech but most only hear the song. She assumes the woman is a Christian- on her way to Church. I get sick of other so called Christians putting patriotism above, or on the same level as Christianity. Our military is awesome but there is no comparison & I dont appreciate that assumption. Maybe the lady was driving through the rich area. SUVs are4 th rich .

  • What an amazing and powerful song! You don't have to support the war but our men and women out there day and night need out support! I have a lot of family in the military and it is sad to see how many people have giving up on their country and their soldiers. SUPPORT OUR TROOPS PROUDLY

you will all always be in my prayers

  • I've got a Marine Corps sticker I put it on a magnet so I can put it where ever I want. I also am PROUD to show troop support. too. I also have a nephew in the army in Iraq.

  • I'm an army wife my husband leaves in jan, i love this song

  • by the way mikeman, I've been over there for three trips....totaling almost five years....and you were over there when? where? Didn't think so

  • Roopstheman

    Thank you.

I have nothing more to say than thank you and welcome home. More of us apreciate you and your service than those whom speak out.

So welcome home and Thanks, as if I could say it enough.

  • I have an idea...how about you just don't listen to it?

  • hey douche bag,if you actually look at other videos from her you will find out that she says she got flipped off for what she thought was because of her driving, but when the driver pulled up beside her at the light the lady that flipped her off pointed at her bumpersticker and told her that "her war was wrong".

I have to drive down the same road she talks about everytime I have to report in to my Marine unit and I know what she means.

IF YOU HAVENT SERVED YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN!

  • Hey mikeman---I'm a retired Army First Sergeant, with 26 1/2 years of guaranteeing your right to talk the smack you do....so you go ahead and talk your crap, but if I ever run into you, you'd better call an paramedic, cuz I'll put you in the hospital !!!

  • my Bf is in the Marines!! im sure he would love to kick ur ass!!!

  • then stop watching country videos.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY USMC! God Bless you guys and gals and God Bless our great country! HOORAH!!!!!

  • Beautiful.

  • Being a member of the Army National Guard and a fiance of a ex-Marine now Army guy, I would like to say that this song is great. She does a great job in singing the song and the song definitely has a great and strong message! Thanks to all that serve in the military and the ones that are mentioned below. God bless them and the families for their huge and tremendous sacrifice for our country and freedom!! Love to all!

  • HOORAH & GOD BLESS CHELY

  • fuck you you heartless fuck

  • First time I heard this song was on New Years day when my husband was sent off to AIT (his job training). It was heart breaking yet so encouraging to hear it. Now my hubby is deployed to Iraq and every day I listen to this song to get just an ounce of strength to get through the day.

  • As my DIL has to report for Iraqi deployment one day BEFORE her only son's first birthday, later this month, I'm searching for songs that make me as proud of her as I am. It's her second tour and God keep them all thank you Chely for writing such a beautiful and meaningful song.

  • She must have run by an Al Gore fan. The good news is that even in the Volunteer State they are a minority. Otherwise he'd be President Billionaire.
