  • Wow very awsome throw and nice to see the technique of a pro :)

  • Kids...Do NOT try this at home.

  • Now that I think about it, watch Mykyta Nesterenko throw, hes also like ten feet tall. He throws the 1k very differently than the way he throws a 2k. It seems almost that you can "slingshot" a 1k more effectively, whereas the 2k takes more pop and "finesse" to set up. Try throwing a 1k like a 2k, it won't fly any further :)

  • I did experiment. Threw 1K only 34 feet farther than 2K with 2K form, but threw it another 10-15 feet by whipping it like Kelesidou. She still outhrows me, however!

  • Haha, it looks like shes not going to be able to throw very far at all for the speed that she moves initially. She also sets herself up just like Jurgen Schult did, but as was pointed out earlier, you can throw a 1k muuuuch differently... I know that from experience.

  • She's 6-4 and 203 throwing a 1kg discus. That really allows this low swinging whip to work, it seems to me. You need more arch in your back and more chest power for the 2kg. This is not recommended for male throwers, in my opinion, unless they are built like Yao Ming!

  • I think this technique is better for the 1kg than for a 2kg. It doesn't seem as if this would work for a heavier disc.

  • I love her technique!
