The song's right ... I'm rugby league through and through, but the little bit of Cazaly in me watches the "last Saturday in September" every year. Pity I have to work this Saturday :(
American, I love my footy. I leave for my sixth trip to Melbourne in a bit over 3 weeks, but the first time since 2003. I will be watching 8 league matches over rounds 16 & 17.
Ok Cats man.Thats unreal. What was the name of that American movie where Aussie rulz gets a mention?Do you think Aussie Rulz could ever make a start in the USA?
I can understand the ideal of the song, that in our own minds, we can picture ourselves making the spectacular mark and leading our side to victory in the "Match of the Day", or on the One Day In September at the MCG.
I cherish the sport of footy, and this song captures the spirit of the fans. thanks, friend!
I had the soundtrack but not the video so I made my own clip showing the VFL stars being like Cazaly and that "there is a little bit of Cazaly in us all" includes all the fans who go to the game and experience the thrills as well but in reality are just the colour at the matches and can't really hope to fly like Cazaly. So I have shown them eating their pies and dreaming.
Good on you mate for posting this nice tune cant remember this one. I wish i grew up in Melbourne in early 80s I would have gone to the footy every week but my parents moved to boring old Mt. Gambier :-)
It is just my own experimental clip as I was trying to work out how to mix vinyl sound with a video picture to produce a DVD which I could then break down into a computer file.
i like seeing the people in the crowd... fuck things looked different 30 years ago!

probably co's if it was at VFL Park , perhaps they were trying to keep warm lol
That ground was sooo chilly, yet it was my personal favourite ground, and i've never forgiven the AFL for pulling it down.
+ it was only 15 minutes away from my home lol
now everything's in the damn city again ! ..hate the city :(
