There were 300 spartans 7,000 (other) greeks and an unknown amount of Persians, history doesnt have a clear thought of how many Persians.

The only reason the Persians won is because a traitor showed the Persians another pass around the moutain so that they may surround. The Greeks knew wat was going on so the 7k Greeks left while the Spartans did wat the did best, by NOT retreating.

Hmm. There were actually like 300-1000 Spartans and about 5000-7000 other Greeks but most of the other Greeks were sent home on the 2nd day so they could fight again later.

Plus there was the Athenian navy which held off the Persian army.

But there's not a single credible source that says there were under 5000 Greeks at the site of the battle as far as I know. Herodotus himself said there were at least 5200.

there's a book HOT GATES which describes fight at thermopylae, and there was 150000 Persians against 300 Spartans and about 1500 of others Greeks (Thespians, Ilyrics and others) so cut the crap

But now, look at this game, you can decide weather or not to declare war with another civilization. Trade or not trade. Help or not help etc. In this game you also have to treat the economy, research many techs, and expand your civilization as big as you like (as long there is land). Many games in the past is basically search and destroy. This game however is always different

never played civ4 but the battle gameplay..... look terrible compared to any other game e.g. Age of empires 3, Medieval 2/Rome Total war.

In Medieval 2 you can command over a thousand men in this game its more like 20 units... and the battle graphics are nowhere near as good as ae3, looks like they are just poking each other.
