What does the Lord shall preserve thee from all evil? Why make Satan then?

In my opinion, Satan is Gods Problem. he made him, let him into our playpen where we were under the understanding that there was no evil.

That's like me letting a Drug addict hang with my children and then Punishing my children for trying the drugs.

I'm the A-hole that let the druggie near my children.

God's the A-hole that let Satan near us.

What a jerk.. God fails as a decent parent.

You are right....peace and understanding do come from within. I became a Christian when I was 11 and at that time had no real in depth understanding of the Bible.

@FromOutsideTheBox You ask why did GOD make satan..Well God had made Lucifer as a very handsome and intelligent angel.but also with a will of his own.. and when he Lucifer decided he was better than GOD he decided to overthrow GOD and his throne. ( not really the brightest in that regard) so God in punishment sent him to earth .( the story is too long here) but in short.. Adam and Eve also being told by GOD were to not eat of the fruit of a certain tree ( they did) and sin entered at that time

Hi. You need to read in God's Word: John 15:18-27/Talks about hatred. In my opinion, that is what you are saying to everyone who has commented. Just by the words you spoke. You Hate God!! Hatred is a sin! Jesus died for us because He loves us & to save us from this hateful society we live in. I think you need to rethink what you have outspoken here.
