They did a total remake of all the charactors but refuse to make the toys look new. They're keeping the same style as the old ones. I want the ones that they had at mcdonalds those were good

@TheCrackerBrony well... while i agree the craftsmanship does need some work, you need to understand that it's pretty hard to turn 2d into 3d especially with shows like MLP...

the models are NOT the same as the old ones, if you compare, the old ones had much longer snouts and longer bodies, this is in fact, a new model

if you them to look /quote "EXACTLY LIKE IN THE TV SHOW" you'd be playing with cardboard cut-outs

Because no toy-line does. They always get whoever's available nearby. A lot of voices are provided directly by Hasbro staff. The recent Galactus toy was voiced by a Hasbro Assistant Brand Manager!

@soicanseeandspeak while I'm a huge MLP fan and adult collector, MLP has been aimed originally towards very young children. Pinkie Pie Learn to Walk is for VERY young children who don't care for show accuracy. It is to nurture children to be mommies and daddies. Therefor, they gave Pinkie a human like quality to instill that parental instinct into them: teaching a child to walk.

The my little ponies line was created as a toy line.And Hasbro wouldn't be dumping money into a TV show if it didn't translate into toy sales. This isn't evil, its just market forces at work, it is worth the investment for Hasbro to fund high quality creative talent to produce a quality show because it enhances the prestige of the brand. We get a great show out of it, kids get fun toys Hasbro's investors make money, and creative people are employed for doing what they love.

Why the GIANT hooves? Not sleek. Also, baby ponies (foals) have LONG legs, and are wobbly. That makes them cute. Making Pinkie pie have human anatomy, only horsefaced and pink, is seriously disturbing. The furthest thing from cute. And yeah, ponies walk on four legs.

@augiepuppy I know right? I was kinda upset when I got my Princess Celestra Figure from a friend of mine... and she was pink... when she was supposed to be white. I mean, I kinda understand... it's not a super big deal, but I am a HUGE fan of the show, and it would have been nice to have the figurines I ordered to be accurate. If someone who liked Batman got a Batman figure, they wouldn't want a red suit would they? Wouldn't be right.
