I've taken karate classes for 5 years and the yelling is because it actually puts more power and force in that particular move. your supposed to take all your anger and frustration out in martial arts, no matter if your sparing, practicing, or competing. but if you believe it or not yelling can increase your form.

@Bellatrixy1 I've taken martial arts and they emphasize yelling as you attack as a fear tactic of sorts. Its suppose to intimidate and throw your enemy off guard. But there is more to it. It also relieves your lungs of air so that if your hit it wont hurt as much. If you ever fallen on ur back and had the air rush out you know what I mean. I'll admit hes going a bit over board with it in this video though XD.
