Hi again, "76079" steam train was one of the last steam trains built in Bolton and runs regularly all over the UK. Just type in the number and there you go. Best wishes, Mark.
Hi, lovely engine. I,m from Bolton near Manchester in the north west of England. Many mills are still standing but with alternative uses. Here in Bolton we have a museum with rescued mill engines. I have posted some footage of the museum "steam engine museum", with contact website details for the museum. You may like to take a look, not the best quality but worth a look. We are also lucky to have a preserved steam train railway nearby "east lancashire railway" which you may like to view.
Excellent video - a lovely engine to watch. Mr. Coleman is a talented machinist! I am just about to start work on building one of those, no doubt with a great deal of help from the kind members of the local model engineering club that I joined recently. I doubt that I'll make it quite as well as yours!
I should be very interested to see it running a generator - with enough steam, I think that you'll find it more powerful than the toy engines by a long way. Look for Stuart 504 boilers on eBay.
im building one of these cant wait until its done!

It has a pully... Just use the flywheel :) it will turn the generator faster and pull the engine harder

Maybe John can teach me to machine instead of going to school for it.
