all of his devotion twards his country seemed to fade, as we now see it. He was about why Governments clash, "Gold is the reason for the wars we wage", Nothing changes on news years day, it doesn't he writing a letter to his girl friend telling her he will see her again. Maybe he has been allowed to the things he has done in other places, because he is respected there.

Bono is no more a hypocrite than anyone else. He may have flown his hat to a concert but he has the cash to do that. He also has given millions of that cash to Africa, Amnesty International and several other organizations so I would say he has done more than the average complaining person.
