If they say they are gods, they will be fundamental, just like religious people and their '' gods '', going against those who don't like it. My favorite Nevermore album is "Enemies of Reality"(remixed 2005).But this is also a great one and this music one of the best on this cd,and i had an eargasms from 3:23 to 3:53.
While overall this may not be my favorite Nevermore album to date, it's definitely not a bad album by an stretch. This is definitely my favorite track off the album.

Listen to Dreaming Neon Black or Dead Heart in a Dead World, or if you are a real fan, maybe even In Memory or Politics or Self Titles. Ok, I'll word if differently. Listen to they're whole discography and you will see that this is yet another sick Nevermore album. Sorry if it's not "scene" enough for you!

'Godless' was a tough act to follow, no doubt, but every track I've heard so far from this album is great. Can't WAIT for it to come out; got the special edition box set on the way!!!
@beingjoshmc What I love about Nevermore is that the albums are chronological. After each album, they slowly become more and more modern. Dead Heart was the epitome of 90's metal. It perfectly encapsulated a style that wasn't quite modern and yet not quite classic thrash. Enemies of Reality started taking more influence from Meshuggah and such, creating an oozy sound. TGE was getting in to modern, with some call-backs to the 80's. This album is an entirely different beast.
this album is amazing. anyone bashing on it needs to listen to it again. NEVERMORE is amazing, all the members are up to their eyeballs in amazing chops, and warrel is an incredibly vocalist who is misunderstood. another amazing track, i cant wait for the tour! CONSUME CONFORM! -nevermore is god

After countless listens, this may be my current favorite on the new disc ("She comes in Colors" is a close second right now). I love the complex texture of it - the relatively mellow chanting of the verses over the fast, heavy guitar drum background. Haunting melodies, too. This really kicks serious ass!
I don't understand Metal fans sometimes. It doesn't need to be super fast or technical to still be great metal music. Great singing, melody and incredible guitar is what metal is all about. It's not like NM totally changed their style, they have been around a long time and they have plenty of other songs like these. Be supportive and buy the CD is you are a NM fan. This great music and this great band deserves it. By far the best metal band around and this new music proves it.

This album definitely brings back the psychedelic sensibilities of early NM. I love it. None of that changes the fact that the lyrics to this song are incredibly stupid.
This album definitely takes some getting used to. I went into it expecting something like Enemies of Reality or TGE but it's so different from their past albums but the more I listen to it the more it hooks me
This song WILL grow on you. Most songs on this album won't capture you instantly as well as TGE but give it time. Once this album grows on you, your brain will implode due to it epicness.

Yes it will grow on you, i have it and its starting to get me. It doesnt hit you like Born, or Enemies of Reality with a very catchy chorus but the songs all have there own entity which is cool. This album is more like Dead Heart and a lot like Dreaming Neon Black. They even said in interviews this time around they were going to concentrate on Warrells lyrics and vocals instead of all super music. So yes its good, a lot of people own't like it but oh well. She's moves the chairs downstairs! Cool
@jerm26554 Totally agree, it is a mixture of those 2 albums, vocally its a lot more like older albums which is a good thing I reckon, it makes them harder to emulate for other bands, makes Nevermore more unique, it is a grower of an album, its not as immediate as my personal fave This Godless Endeavour or my close second Dead Heart but its a very good album with lots of textures and obscure melodies instrumentally and vocally, its growing on me!
I think many of these new Nevermore songs sound very good, and if I know Nevermore correctly, they will all grow on us. Maybe not a new Dead Heart... album. Maybe not a new This Godless... album.. But, a new great Nevermore-album!
After I have listened to most of the songa, without the lyrics, there are som lyrics I just love. Like "This is why I hate you" and "As if her soul was dead, she spoke of nothing" is so typical Nevermore, and I just love those lines. They're simple, but great!

Why I am I hearing so many people bashing on this album? Sorry guys, not every album can be exactly like TGE or EOR! Listen to Dreaming Neon Black or Dead Heart in a Dead World, or if you are a real fan, maybe even In Memory or Politics or Self Titles. Ok, I'll word if differently. Listen to they're whole discography and you will see that this is yet another sick Nevermore album. Sorry if it's not "scene" enough for you!

@beingjoshmc What?? People are actually bashing this???? Man, I've been a fan since the Sanctuary days, and to my ears they keep getting better, and this is no exception. 'Godless' was a tough act to follow, no doubt, but every track I've heard so far from this album is great. Can't WAIT for it to come out; got the special edition box set on the way!!!

@beingjoshmc What I love about Nevermore is that the albums are chronological. After each album, they slowly become more and more modern. Dead Heart was the epitome of 90's metal. It perfectly encapsulated a style that wasn't quite modern and yet not quite classic thrash. Enemies of Reality started taking more influence from Meshuggah and such, creating an oozy sound. TGE was getting in to modern, with some call-backs to the 80's. This album is an entirely different beast.

this album is amazing. anyone bashing on it needs to listen to it again. NEVERMORE is amazing, all the members are up to their eyeballs in amazing chops, and warrel is an incredibly vocalist who is misunderstood. another amazing track, i cant wait for the tour! CONSUME CONFORM! -nevermore is god

Yep couldnt agree more brother. There has never been a Nevermore album that has sucked, some had mediocre production that was fixed but other than that they are just genuises. Underrated ones at that.:)

After countless listens, this may be my current favorite on the new disc ("She comes in Colors" is a close second right now). I love the complex texture of it - the relatively mellow chanting of the verses over the fast, heavy guitar drum background. Haunting melodies, too. This really kicks serious ass!

I don't understand Metal fans sometimes. It doesn't need to be super fast or technical to still be great metal music. Great singing, melody and incredible guitar is what metal is all about. It's not like NM totally changed their style, they have been around a long time and they have plenty of other songs like these. Be supportive and buy the CD is you are a NM fan. This great music and this great band deserves it. By far the best metal band around and this new music proves it.

@dwl250 I have pre-ordered the Limited edition CD with extra guitar tutorials for Obsidian Conspiracy song and several other stuff even though I have these songs no my MP3 for some time now. I agree with what you're saying in 100%: they are by far the best metal band I have encountered due to their ability to play different kinds of metal and maintain their style at the same time. For example: Forever vs. Obsidian Conspiracy. Nevermore forever \m/

This album definitely brings back the psychedelic sensibilities of early NM. I love it. None of that changes the fact that the lyrics to this song are incredibly stupid.

This album definitely takes some getting used to. I went into it expecting something like Enemies of Reality or TGE but it's so different from their past albums but the more I listen to it the more it hooks me

This song WILL grow on you. Most songs on this album won't capture you instantly as well as TGE but give it time. Once this album grows on you, your brain will implode due to it epicness.

Yes it will grow on you, i have it and its starting to get me. It doesnt hit you like Born, or Enemies of Reality with a very catchy chorus but the songs all have there own entity which is cool. This album is more like Dead Heart and a lot like Dreaming Neon Black. They even said in interviews this time around they were going to concentrate on Warrells lyrics and vocals instead of all super music. So yes its good, a lot of people own't like it but oh well. She's moves the chairs downstairs! Cool

@jerm26554 Totally agree, it is a mixture of those 2 albums, vocally its a lot more like older albums which is a good thing I reckon, it makes them harder to emulate for other bands, makes Nevermore more unique, it is a grower of an album, its not as immediate as my personal fave This Godless Endeavour or my close second Dead Heart but its a very good album with lots of textures and obscure melodies instrumentally and vocally, its growing on me!

I think many of these new Nevermore songs sound very good, and if I know Nevermore correctly, they will all grow on us. Maybe not a new Dead Heart... album. Maybe not a new This Godless... album.. But, a new great Nevermore-album!
After I have listened to most of the songa, without the lyrics, there are som lyrics I just love. Like "This is why I hate you" and "As if her soul was dead, she spoke of nothing" is so typical Nevermore, and I just love those lines. They're simple, but great!
