Ever so often I'll find a song that I listen to over and over again for weeks. MIR is definitely one of them. Also, love the chemtrail sunset pic. For some reason chemtrails seem to create some of the best sunsets.
The bassist/guitarist Mike Rush was my highschool digital photography teacher! Never knew he played this stuff or else I woulda asked to jam with him!
I rather prefer listening to this music than go to bed... but I have no choice... I need my sleep so that the water for the roots in my soul can sink down ;)
First pelican enticed me with their amazingly sweet droning riffs. The god is an astronaut lured me in with their acousti accenting to leave me listening to yet another beautiful post rock bands.
@greedbrigand Haha nice! That's the same way I was introduced to this genre. If you haven't heard them before, then you should check out Sleepmakeswaves. They are very good as well, I'd suggest the song One Day You Will Teach Me To Let Go Of My Fear. Cheers. :)
Such a beautiful song like this one surely deserves much better picture/video background than just a sky full of chemtrails! I may only speculate if the author did this on purpose to express the melancholy over this.
I love this song, but I hate the astronaut voices in the back... it kind of makes the song seem less ambient and awesome to me. But overall, this song IS timeless and spectacular; I would love to use this in a film with slo-mo involved and crazy things happening. I'm getting mega excited just thinking about it :D
Images of my past are throwing themselves in the center of my mind, forcing my eyes to relive the moments they have already seen. It is completely intoxicating. The wave of sounds touch my heart & make my worries seem so small. I feel like im in a trouble-free bubble deep within my heart's ocean. This song sums up the meaning of everything good in this world so perfectly. I feel like my life gets a bit brighter every time I allow my ears the pleasure of listening to this beautiful song.
@Metalas90 it really is the best music i've ever listen to... even if there is so much more nice music aswell , i mean.... especially in the metal area , so much nice music... anywhere! but post rock is so.... can't really explain, its like water for the roots in my soul ...
i just found these guys...WOW, this is great stuff
Not to take from 'LOA', this right here is priceless, but if you want some other unreal stuff, check out the band 'Hammock', maybe the track 'Sora', 'the air between us', 'birds flying in sequence','moon through the branches',(they do tons of ambient/atmospheric work)

Mmmm recently I've fallen for ambient-ish music... Something not rushed... out of this world... deep... free...
Great music right here!

This song, with a nice mellow high, while snowboarding at night. Simply the best experience I've had in a very long time.

Awesome! Other LOA songs are also awesome, but Mir is my favorite by LOA(so far).
I can not explain it, maybe it's hypnotic. (:-)
