  • Welcome To malaysia...!!!!!

We all Anti-Flag Army cant wait to mosh in your gig..Punkrock Rules..!!!

  • \m/

  • @napkinface1998 you've got to be kidding me. Get off this Anti-Flag video, and go watch some more crappy MTV.

  • Seriously, there are better songs from Anti-Flag...

  • omg. after the song there was an add that said do you want a job at mcdonalds. in duch . tfuk

  • I love this song. The riff, the lyrics, the message. This is a good old fashioned political punk anthem with a message relevant to our situation today.

    Very, very well done.

  • Ron Paul..... The r3VOLution continues.......... every man of every race and religion are equals in liberties and freedoms no matter what, no government buracrat standing in the way!!

  • @1blackdeath51501 LMFAO

The song is about class inequity and the problems of capitalism. Your boy Mr. Paul supports class inequity because he considers the freedom to hoard resources when his fellow citizens could use them to be some kind of a freedom. Guess what? That's denying freedom to someone else. That's putting individual WANTS on a higher tier than community NEEDS, and calling it a basic right. That's allowing one to harm many through greed.

Go back to reading Ayn Rand.

  • @xunderxdosedx If you know ANYTHING about what freedom means is that you cant tell other people how to live. you think that you are entitled to things? no its called working for it people have to pour there blood sweat and tears into making the most basic things we have today and you want them for free so that the collective can all benifit Id recommend reading up on what corporatism is and socialist because thats whats plauging america not capatalism. we haven't had capatalism ever since 1913

  • @1blackdeath51501 Uh... while America isn't at the level of absolute capitalism that was promoted by Adam Smith and the like, we are very capitalistic society... I'd like to get the sources that led you to believe we aren't in a capitalist system anymore.

  • @OTM19 To hardcore capitalists, anything to the economic left of Ayn Rand is socialism. They define things like "freedom" and "property" differently than almost everyone else.

  • @xunderxdosedx Ah - thanks for the clarification.

  • @1blackdeath51501

Is there a reason why you can't spell worth a fuck or should I just write you off as retarded?

Your quaint little "I've got mine, fuck you lazy freeloaders" attitude is exactly what this song is railing against.

Also: Have you ever read Upton Sinclair's The Jungle? It's a good example of why we don't want to go back to the way things were pre-1913.

  • @xunderxdosedx It's the fucking internent dude, what makes you think I should be at my highest observational level if you cant even think that mabye just mabye the 100 years of socialism we've had in America has been a failer, and that keynsian economics has failed once again, and that freedom should reign against fear and falsehoods. and I've read Sinclairs stuff no doubt there's truth to that, and some propaganda, has all that laws and regulation helped? nope, look how fast food makes chicken.

  • @1blackdeath51501 Sorry, i had to stop laughing. 100 years of socialism in America is quite clearly laughable. The US has spent 100 years of rampant capatilism that may come to an end soon. The question is, are we going to be led by the totalitarian Chinese or are we going to find our own way.

  • This song should be entitled "Communist Manifesto the Song". The reason being is that these lyrics sound like they are taken directly out of the Communist Manifesto. Not that there is anything wrong with that, cause its a great song.

  • im an anarchist and i love anti flag, ii love their music, their lyriks and their lifestyl (most ;D). And this song is one of their best because they show that communist revolutions are not good for the humans because communist have no respect for individualism, freedom and "art" so yeahrr its a little bit bettr then capitlaism but not many.

antifacist greeing from germany and sorry for misspellings

  • What in the name of holy fuck was an "Offspring" song doing in the related vids section???????

  • kids love anti flag

  • @subnoize420 And politically active, educated older punk fans like myself.

But go ahead living in dreamland, sweetie.

  • We Are Not Numbers !!!

  • Anti-Flag isn't emo, there are to many emos they listen to anti flag!

  • @XxVayaConTiozxX they have an Emo suck song, Their singer sounds like a kid else the band would be great

  • @niekolas punk is not about what you sound like, the sex pistols sound like shit, so what's your point?

  • @AlmosFamousAlliance Yes your right, but in my opinion Sex Pistols are great!

  • @77Kohout I mean yeah, I like the Sex Pistols, It's just punk isn't about sound, its about not givin a fuck...

  • @AlmosFamousAlliance Punk is about doing it yourself, questioning authority, leading by example and making a better world where you can.

  • @cooly1uk it's also about not giving a fuck about anyone else or what they think...

  • @AlmosFamousAlliance Sorry, but you've got to worry about your neighbours. They may be idiots but they are part of your society.

  • Anti-Flag is a great punk band, they're no Dead Kennedys but good. This was a good album for they're first in a couple years.

  • Anti-Flag is a great punk band they're no Dead Kennedys but good. This was a good album for they're first in a couple years.

  • @TheIllegalKind or you know, all the gay emo stuff started cause they wanted to be punks but can't actually think

  • @Laidleypunk12 yeah it amusses me when people act scene and they call me emo or scene and im like no im a punk and you are what i like to call a punk trick have a good day

  • @TheIllegalKind lol. when was anti-flag emo. Go listen to embrace. Thats real emo. Most emo bands today are fake.

  • i think anti flag has gone more mainstreem.. still love them tho

  • Justin looks so sexy! Anti-Flag for life!

  • @Monkeyfist93 fuck jb he at the top of corporate America so fuck him

  • @punkrocker555142 who was talking about jb here!?! was talking about the lead singer ofc! He's name is Justin Sane.

  • @Monkeyfist93 oh sorry i presumed that cause some one else said jb sucks. My bad haha

  • @hahagogle agree

  • they got better

  • Chris 2 is my favorite bassist of all time. He inspired me to pick up he bass, which i'm currently starting. Hope I can be as badass as him some time haha.

  • @billzeking Same with me, but I was also partly inspired by Jason Mccaslin

  • @jokerpunk117 haha, he's pretty sick as well

  • good hair

  • @copkilling745 i wasnt being a dick i just saying that it wasnt and correcting you

  • Love the "heys" at the last chorus ^^

  • Good song, but I dont see why they made this one a single, there are loads of other mind blowing songs on the album they should have chosen, in my opinion :P

  • I liked the mohawk -.-

  • Proletarians of the world unite, we have nothing to lose BUT OUR CHAINS!

  • @TheDeadlyRook

Perhaps true in third world countries, in the West we have very much too lose because of repressive tolerance.

  • LOVE IS ALL WE NEED

  • Do this, pass it on and you are then a soldier of L.O.V.E

  • (Al-E-Imran) Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (31)

  • All you have to do to join the Army of L.O.V.E is . . .

  • Will you join Michael and I in The Army of L.O.V.E?

  • 31 people sux!!!!!

  • anti-flag will always be great

  • @copkilling745 Yup you can tell b/c this cd dosent suck like that one did.

  • I've listened to Anti-Flag for nearly a whole decade now, and although they did go through an awkward folk-rock phase and were signed to a major record label for a few years, I'm happy to see them back in their element.

  • @copkilling745 no its after "No War Without Warriors (How Do You Sleep?)"

  • Why are there only BASS tabs for this song? I WANNA PLAY THE GUITAR PART!!! And no covers on youtube... daaamn

  • @cooliestkidsontheblo why do you think those countries you listed would want you raped? do you really think they just thought like "let's attack america 'cuz its cool"? NO. the US government made those countries angry and is wasting american lives on a meaningless war. they put YOUR life in risk. why should you support the US?

  • The singer ruins the sound. He sounds like Pee Wee Herman trying to sing punk.

  • @comer214 Shut Your Ass Mouth, Anti-Flag is awesome,

  • I wander how can we not repeat the mistakes of our elders if the system stays the same?

  • libertarian socialism is like anarchy and communism put together it seems like which most likely isn't a good idea. I love anti-flag, don't get me wrong, and i agree with most ideas from them and their songs but as we have all seen, communism isn't a good idea, neither is anarchism. we need government and different things in it. we can't just have things equal. it sounds great on paper but in real life, it won't work because there are always selfish and greedy people. :/ just sayin'.

  • @wakyyule143

Its hard for us to have "all seen" that Communism isn't a good idea considering that if you know what it is you know that, not only has it not ever occurred, but that it has never even been attempted.

Also, it is a truly ridiculous claim to make considering that coupled with it you say "I love anti-flag [sic]", which is a band promoting actual Communism. Their members fall under the broad category of "all" yet, contrary to your statement, they haven't seen it as a bad idea.

  • well i guess theres no government like no government

  • "the labor of slaves for the profit of kings" I love that quote; it is pretty much true.

  • Comment removed

  • yes they are a bit anarchist... but most they are anti-capitalism and anti-injustis!!

  • are they anarchist?

  • @Trevor9849 i don't know, but the simbol of the band is the socialist star made by broken guns....

  • @Trevor9849 they have never really claimed political parties. They have mentions of anarchism in some songs (like this one) and socialist in others. I remember like 8 years ago they said they were NOT anarchists at all, and that they were socialists, but with the release of the past few albums and singles (war sucks, lets party...), I don't know anymore.

  • @katelovesyou666 well no matter what label you put on it the message has stayed relatively the same. it's matured quite a bit from the days of "kill the rich" though.

  • @Trevor9849 Libertarian Socialists :) Which is just one of the many branches of Anarchism.

  • @Vajrayana514 the world would be such a better place if most people werent assholes then libertarian socialism would work, i for 1 would very much support that. there were public schools before government funded it. same with most things. people just did it at the kindest of there hearts

  • @psychojackrabbit Um, there weren't "public schools before government funded it" because public schools are schools that are funded by the government so that everyone can attend them. As for this time when people just did things out of the "kindness of their hearts" - are you referring to the factory towns where people had to work 14 hour days, the textile factories where women and children were locked inside in poorly ventilated conditions? Capital cedes nothing to labor unless forced to.

  • perfect !!!!!

  • I love Anti Flg ever since my cousin told me about them I've been hooked Anti Flag ROCKS

  • Wow this video is really thought provoking. I love the quotes. My favorite one is "I am free from the mistakes of my elders." I am hoping this is true!

  • @InspiredMuse74 This is very true. You are your own person and your life is your choice. Those of us that truly follow our own hearts and minds will not be defeated by their mistakes because they know that they chose it.

  • all these arguments r useless..hnstly if our country dsnt advocate freedom properly or jus pretends to do so then the fuking hell with it..america is about freedom all freedoms in all aspects if gov isnt ganna uphold tht then the gov shld be dissolved thts the way it wrks..if its nt for us then obv against us..

  • anti flag isnt saying they dnt support america or our troops they just try and inform you about the corruption that is going on in out goverment and around the world so fuck you

  • Fuck whoever doesnt appreciate our freedom because without the men and women out there fighting for us we'd be getting raped in the butt by Korea, the middle east and everyone else because when we support people like Anti Flag we tell the rest of the world that we dont support our country, making us a bunch of pussys so fuck those who dont support

  • @cooliestkidsontheblo "Freedom". You know what your "freedom" is? You are free to do whatever they want you to do! You cannot pursue your dreams without spnding the rest of your life in debt. The "news" you get is censored and manipulated. You are brainwashed from birth into believing you are special just becuse you just happend to be born in this country and that it is your right and responsibility to fight and die for it's leader's interest.

  • @cooliestkidsontheblo I have nothing but the highest respect for the men and women of the armed forces. I love them like my own family, which I why I don't believe in marching them into a Third World desert to die for a few gallons of gas!

  • The moral of the song burn all the books be a dumb as we are?

  • @hydin1

your post makes me feel like you already burned all your books long time ago

  • @hydin1 You can interpret it anyway you like, but there is obviously more to the video than just burning books. I see it as freeing ourselves from all the bullshit we've experienced in our lives, and all the wrong doings committed in the history of humanity.

As for the lyrics of the song, they more closely relate to the working class people of the world, and how they have been and are still being oppressed by the big businesses they work for, and how a great change is inevitable. Great song.

  • @XxFlipper77xX Not to mention the simpler fact that most of the objects burned aren't actually books...

  • I have been hearing alot of crap that anti flag are sellouts? What the hell did they do?! I have loved anti flag music for years and they are the last people i would think to ever sell out

  • I'm 13 and anti-flag is one of the most inspiring bands i've ever heard. i'd like to say sorry to everyone for my generation and its ingnorance to the problems in our world and in our society.

  • @TheYoungWildAndFree dont apologize. do something to help improve your world.

  • @TheYoungWildAndFree Actually, our generation is no better or worse than the ones before. There are millions of vegetarians, freedom activists, socialists, anti-corporatists, anti-globalisation activists and freedom fighters that are working hard to help steer us in the right direction. We just have a lot of stupid shit as well.

  • 666 likes xD

  • @SalimVenusZ 667*

  • Whos my brothers in anarchy here?

  • @AnarchoUnion HELL YEAH! *Forearm raised high, showig off (A) tatoo*

  • the song sounds nice but i can't get used to the leaad singers 14 year old voice

  • I love this song.that's all I can say about it!

  • my favorite album by them

  • I dont think the fellas from anti flag would aprecciate the f-ing ads at the beginning of the video.

  • "proletarians of the world unite" - karl marx: "workers of the world unite!" awesome reference

  • More kids need to hear this

  • @hahagogle Yeah i agree, im only 14 but more ppl my age need to hear this, i have A-F lyrics written on my binder and i wear a-f shirts to get more ppl to know about them,\.. it doesnt work tho. sucks dude

  • @APUNKRoCKA

You need to form a group with your like minded friends, hold a meeting, hand out fliers at local punk shows, and get into contact with Socialist Alternative (if you're of the anti-capitalist persuasion).

  • @hahagogle i'm a kid :D

  • @hahagogle Love this band. I am 15, and I show this band to everyone i meet.

  • anti flag = best band ever

  • anti flag does keep getting better, I really like how they did the acoustic stuff

  • one of their best songs. anti flag stand for something. even if their music dies their lyrics will live for ever spreading fear and doubt into the corrupt hearts of officials. LADS

  • Our government's are corrupt, and I think one of Anti-Flag's lyrics are all about giving more power to the people.

And lets face it, the only people against giving the people more power over the government, are the people who would loose power.

  • To be honest, I don't understand you people.

I personally do not like blink 182, but these people, they're bands.

The whole point of a band, to make whatever music you wish to make. If you don't like what a band is saying well laugh at there stupidity, but by posting it in a comment on a video you are as good as asking for a argument. And simply because communism cannot succeed in terms of helping the people, doesn't mean it doesn't mean it doesn't have parts of it that might work.

  • @damaskedtofu What does Blink-182 have to do with anything?

  • ok why are republican political ads comeing on b4 a anti flag video that makes me feel sick to my stomach

  • @TaylorOnTheMic It does say "book-burning" and "lynching" in the video.

  • @TaylorOnTheMic gone now :)

  • @TaylorOnTheMic

    learn2adblock plus

  • @TaylorOnTheMic im sure you would be fine with obama ads

    tool

  • @TaylorOnTheMic They're just wasting they're time and money.

  • @TaylorOnTheMic Mine was for make up lol

  • @TaylorOnTheMic alot of the points they come up with are republican. i dont even like the idea of basing someones political view off a few opinions, but thats what its come down to. but republicans want to see this tyranny end, if you dont understand that, your just another statistic in america.

  • @nickxclassic Really? since when do republicans believe in marxist principles?

  • @TaylorOnTheMic to be fair, any major party political ad before an anti-flag video makes me sick to my stomach

  • @TaylorOnTheMic The juxtaposition makes it rock harder IMO.

  • @TaylorOnTheMic you think that's sick i watched a justin bieber commercial before watching this

  • life has a pointless meaning, and you can only live once, so fucking raise the flag of anarchy and lets bring back rebillion!!.

  • This is so true we don't need CEOS . They need us why can't they start acting like it! I like this song. I like the quote where it says" I am free from the mistakes of my elders" but yet history repeats itself again and again.

I certianly hope I am not repeating the mistake of my elders I hope I am more enlightened. Yikes just look at history; what a nightmare.

  • when all the lights go out the fires of revolution will illuminate the night sky and then our childrens children will say i am free from my elders mistakes of my elders

  • communism killed more people than Hitler.

Communism made everyone poor and everybody died almlost.

  • @Okidokipianissimokei keep regurgitating what your 6th grade teachers told you.

  • @Okidokipianissimokei

Before criticizing go learn the f*cking difference between communism and socialism.

And then compare Marx's vision of socialism to the nothing-to-do-with-socialism old URSS.

I mean, even Lenin agreed that the URSS was NOT socialist, it was state capitalism.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!1

  • I love hearing the Marx quotes in this song, pure gold.

  • every one remember, the government dosnt run us, we run the government.

  • "If you want a symbolic gesture, don't burn the flag. ... wash it." ~ Norman Thomas

  • Comment removed

  • anarchism.

  • communism : the only thing that works =)

  • I'm all for revolution but fuck communism

  • @Afabretti77 well fuck you

  • CHARGE!!!!

  • this band is just pure gold.

  • Communism sucks.

  • @beatforthebeaten

Then why were you on this song?

  • @maraudingchimpanzee

Because I'm pretty sure that this song has nothing to do with communism. It is about worker's rights.

  • @beatforthebeaten

It fucking quotes Marx in it, and very aptly describes a workers' revolution. How more connected to Communism could it be?

  • @maraudingchimpanzee

But the quote is not related to Communism. And it just describes a workers' revolution, not a communistic workers' revolution.

  • @beatforthebeaten

A quote by Marx is a quote related to Communism. Sure, if Glenn Beck says something equating to "I love freedom", that isn't necessarily related to Conservatism, but I still am not going to quote it in music, because anything he says politically is related to his ideology. They wouldn't have quoted Marx if it wasn't Communist.

Also, the word "proletarians" is used almost solely in the context of a Communist revolution, and everything in it correlates to Communist ideology.

  • @beatforthebeaten "coomunistic" does not exist, the revolution of the workers is a communist revolution...

  • Comment removed

  • punching the clock stabing the boss, we dont need no ceo THEY NEED US!

  • this is the only new song i like from them for the fact that i like the "i am free from the mistakes of my elders" thats something i can REALLLY relate to but i really think they sold out. they deffinately sold out.

  • @bro0talbitch17 they didnt sell out you asshole, you have to pay the bills somehow, No band want to play underground shows and make 0 cash. so fuck you, anti flag rocks

  • @vitasG99 i didn't say they weren't good, i like their old shit, and you can suck my fucking cock, i know you have to pay the bills somehow, and i don't call making money off what you do selling out, i call changing what the fuck you're about just to please the fucking record company and the media selling out. next time you want to say something to me, do me a favor, say something other then what everyone else says about not selling out.

  • @bro0talbitch17

When the fuck did these guys change what they were about?

They were communists when they started, and they are pretty fucking apparently communists now.

  • @maraudingchimpanzee you can think whatever you'd like, but i see an enormous change in their music, appearance, and everything else. and i'm deffinately not the only one. if you listen to like, the first shit, then listen now, its different, and reminds me of all the other phony punk bands in the media. it sucks, they were pretty hardcore, but i just don't see that in them now.

  • @bro0talbitch17

I listen to all of their albums frequently. Despite some odd experimentation in Bright Lights of America (I didn't hate it, just didn't sound much like Anti-Flag), the general progression of their music has been becoming better musicians on each album, while evolving their own sound. Their early stuff like Die for the Government was great sounding punk, but it was generic. When you hear new AF stuff, you fucking know who you're listening to without even knowing the song first.

  • @maraudingchimpanzee i'd just rather them sound like generic punk then generic everything else thats on tv and the radio and what not.

  • @bro0talbitch17

They don't sound generic though. They have a very unique sound incorporating their punk roots, and their own style.

Thats what bands do. They tend to start out generic, then differentiate themselves later. Whenever me and my band started playing, we played very generic, fast hard loud punk music. Over two years we've developed our own sound. AF's been at it for two decades. Of course they don't sound like they used to.

If you sound the same as everything else, why bother?

  • @maraudingchimpanzee i guess thats your opinion about them sounding like they have their own style, their new shit to me still sounds the same as other alternative bands that are big in the media.

  • @bro0talbitch17

Everything is gonna sound similar to something, but when I first heard the opening guitar riff for some of the songs on this album, not knowing it was Anti-Flag, I knew immediately what band it was. Thats just the guitar riff. Not even the vocals.

It might not be 100% unique like its own genre or something, but it isn't generic alternative.

  • @maraudingchimpanzee i still think yeag, they are a different band, different name, people, and songs, but same sound.

  • @bro0talbitch17

I'm guessing you meant same name, people and songs but different sound.

They do have a different sound now than they did 20 years ago, but its still something distinctly theres. There sound has gradually changed over the last two decades, any bands sound would. If a band did not develop over time, they wouldn't be very good musicians.

  • @maraudingchimpanzee no i meant it exactly how i worded it, you know like same sound as everyone else.

  • @bro0talbitch17

Oh, I thought you were contrasting it to their earlier stuff, like saying it had same members and name as before but sounded different. I was a bit confused.

Anyway, I can readily distinguish them from other bands. Even ones who play in the exact same style/genre or whatever. Even disregarding vocals (which are too easy to distinguish by to even count). I suppose they sound more similar to mainstream style now, but, for better or worse, they are more distinct now than ever.

  • @maraudingchimpanzee i still don't agree. but okay.

  • @bro0talbitch17

Now, I do admit that to a punk purist their new sound would definitely be disappointing. While I certainly enjoy classic punk (Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols) and classic hardcore (Minor Threat, Black Flag, Circle Jerks), but as for newer bands, they aren't the classics and I don't see why they need to be. I love the punk influenced fusion genres (not pop-punk so much, but I guess it has some decent shit). It makes sense that if someone didn't they wouldn't like this though.

  • @maraudingchimpanzee exactly, i hate the way all the newer shit is, which is why i said what i said. to me they're just another green day or blink 182 now. but to someone who likes that sound, they might be really good. i won't deny them having musical talent, i'll just say no i don't like them and no they aren't punk anymore.
