  • damn google you made me look stupid the video is a review of the Fender FB-59 i googled a review for a fender FB-54 and i ended up here ....LOL and though hey i am gonna buy that budget banjo well it's nowhere in the price range of the FB-54 so i guess i wont be running in my bare feet .......great review and nice banjo playing

  • hey that aint no damn Fender FB54 and if it was i would run down the street in my bare feet to buy one. .... hell yeah at the price the fender fb54 cost

  • Wow that was awesome!! :O

  • I have a Finder my self and I like very much but It has a Very heavy tone ring in it . But it sounds great I have done some things to it to get a better tone out of it.

  • YEAHH!!!

  • Is that a mandolin in a sousaphone

  • that freakin' tuba is eating the mando!

  • @ilovechugs sousaphone actually :)

  • I used to play a friends Fender Leo. It was well made, but never sounded quite right. I am surprised at how good the "Tennessee Crafters" banjo sounded. Reminds me of My Deering Calico.

  • awesome !

  • An epiphone mb 250 is a good banjo not tested here for about $500 and its made by gibson so that says something

  • it also says something that its got the epiphone name instead of the gibson name

  • made by gibson in CHINA. not to say it is not a good banjo, i dont own one, but take that into consideration.

  • I agree. I DO own the Ephiphone MB 250, and while it's an okay sounding banjo, it's really a lousy instrument overall. It has a cheap aluminum rim, and goes out of tune easily.

  • @liveforrock1: Read below. It only carries the Gibson name, it's not a real Gibson instrument!

  • @liveforrock1 its overpriced? lol

  • Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaa

  • i think the fender FB-59 sounds better than the OB 250!and they both cost about the same!great pickin!!

  • what song are you playing?

  • The song is Crossing The Big Sandy by Bill Monroe.

  • Listened to all the tests I think the Gibson Earl Scruggs sounded the best but this fender is good and cost thousands of dollars less.

  • så bra

  • Hi Casey,

I have a FB-59 and replaced the bridge; I installed a Bart Veerman 'mystery bridge' and it made a huge difference! My wife complained about the 'noise', so that's a perfect benchmark... Anyway, the sound and volume improved dramatically!

    Happy pickin'

  • I have an FB-58 I bought after I graduated highschool.

  • I heard and saw a FB-58 here on Youtube, sounded good, but I cannot find the footage anymore...

    Happy picking!

    Fred

  • I have some footage of me playing mine on youtube.

  • Hey great!

I just bought a Fender FB-59. Sounds great!
