Avoid the over simplification that Gore "Flip Flopped". In this speech Gore was putting Iraq politics in historical perspective. His position here was prior to the second invasion. He also later felt that containment worked and prior UN searches for WMD were effective. The destabilization of this region and the world should lie at the door step of our current government of seven years. The problems we have now are what Gore predicted.
