This is so beautiful it somehow helps me forgive the poor fools who believe Easter celebrates a real event. I guess this music restores the clever/dumb balance.
for all we Americans, this song is known as 'anthem for spring' ... lyrics are simply beautiful and the parts sung are true to original, in most part. no version here on youtube that gives it justice but if you web hunt the 'youth performing arts school' in louisville ky., this advanced choral group does a terrific rendition. please check it out. it is really a great choral piece that is woefully underrated.
She has a nice voice and she is also a very fair woman. Though she has to control the tendency to wave with the music for it is distracting. It is certaintly not the camera for if that would be, the whole scene would be affected not only her.
Sorry guys - is the choir not singing flat in the opening...when 2nd sops enter at bar 16 the choir's pitch has dropped...before the 'largo maestoso at bar 35, they've dropped a semitone...I wonder if Maestro Kovacs noticed this during rehearsals?
The conductor is Janos Kovacs and I admire him for keeping it all together. When I see something like this, a large choir, a fair sized orchestra, and a soloist it reminds me of those jugglers who keep juggling a bunch of plates in the air at the same time.
Aprile Millo is so much better.Michaela has to much of a strange vibrato in her voice, especially in the middle of her voice, and some of the high notes too.
The closest approximation for the "high" Miss Karadjian has at the completion might be, perhaps, a player hitting a grand slam in front of fifty thousand in Yankee stadium.
inneggiamo
il Signore è risorto.
Alleluia.

Son alienígenas, posiblemente ángeles, nadie en este mundo puede dirigir/cantar/interpretar como ellos lo hacen. No son humanos.

He is a cello player. Just doesn't have much to do. Look at 1:53 and you will see him playing.

le falta un poco de volumen a la soprano... el coro la llega a opaca en algunos fragmentos. ;)
possito7 3 years ago
No es que le falte volumen, así es la obra. Es demasiado coro para cualquier soprano. Además, la mujer canta divinamente =) Un saludo
