@annisisbell actually he can stay here and stand for the truth... the USA is supposed to be about democracy and freedom of speech... if you're so against that I suggest you move to North Korea... you'd fit in perfectly!
@bluesgurugod The Truth? Yeah Ralph Nader and other non founding stock are here to teach us The Truth. The United States was doing so badly before all these immigrants came here to fix our country. Now we're practically a third world country.
Does Korea have a right to exist as a country for Koreans? Or does Ralph Nader have a right to migrate there and tell them what's wrong with them?
It seems to me that NON WHITE IMMIGRANTS are the problem.
@bluesgurugod What's the difference between a Nazi and a Zionist? If jews have a right to their own state then why don't Aryans? The holocaust is a lie. We locked Japanese up in camps because we didn't trust them and it was war. Jews were locked in camps for the same reason. Germans had plenty of reason not to trust them, they got Germany defeated in WW1 so they could get Palestine from the Brits. Jews not victims of holocaust, they were collateral damage. Why don't they live in their land
You sir, are a fucking moron. I hereby make you the winner of the least intelligent person on the internet. You are a candidate for the mental poverty program as well.
@AroundSun If you can't answer the questions or refute what someone says you resort to personal attacks. It doesn't matter what I am. The issue here is the control that jews have in our country and the problems they're causing and the fact that they are a parasitic, cancerous tribe that causes problems everywhere they go. Jews have been driven from every single place they ever lived. They are universally hated and with good reason.
@annisisbell That is like saying "prove evolution". It is such an irrefutable fact, like the Holocaust, that even trying to point it out is a waste of time. You can simply look for yourself and see the mountains of overwhelming evidence that says....YOU'RE AN IDIOT! How about this, prove to me that it DIDN'T happen. Refute EVERY piece of evidence that says the Holocaust ever happened...Furthermore, explain to me how 'Jews' are ruining the country like parasites, and what problems they cause
@annisisbell You fucking dope. You're not just taking their word for it you ignorant moron. Religion is the only bullshit story that we take without any real evidence. Not only does World War II and the Holocaust have the most evidence out of almost any historical event, but testimony from survivors, pictures, video, blueprints, admissions, and a million other things. Learn the difference between revealed knowledge, when someone tells you something; and subjective knowledge, evidence, etc.
@AroundSun "Not only does World War II and the Holocaust have the most evidence out of almost any historical event"
Don't you mean "the most circumstantial evidence"?
I've never seen a film of a gas chamber in action. Have you? The Germans filmed almost everything they did. So why no film of a homicidal gas chamber? Why no Hitler order?
For that matter: why did the Jews in Auschwitz decide to leave with their German "captors" instead of just waiting for their Russian "liberators" to arrive?
@dissidentaggress0r The allies found the remains. That is enough evidence. You don't need a fucking video tape when you find murder victims. God damn you are stupid. Nothing more than a dopey 'what if' theory. Fucking brain dead moron.
@AroundSun " The allies found the remains"...exhumed them from their mass graves, performed autopsies on a few hundred, found that they had been gassed, and submitted the autopsy reports as evidence at Nuremburg.....
...no...hang on........ they didn't do *any* of that. But what they *did* do was beat a "confession" out of the commandant of Auschwitz before stringing him up. Yes...they did do that. And, fyi, the word "holocaust" didn't appear anywhere in print or speech until the 1960's
And how exactly you believers make the leap from "revisionist" to "anti-semitic" is a mystery to me - but it happens all the time. Instead of debate, you throw epithets in an effort to stifle dissent.
@dissidentaggress0r p.s. it's unfortunate that you can't see through the racist propaganda. keep blaming "the jews" while corporations rob you blind...
@EndWesternTyranny That's another funny thing: you'd think the Jews would be happy that, instead of 6 million, maybe only 600,000 or so of their people were done to death during the war by various circumstances. Why is this such a bad theory to put forward? What's the attraction of the 6 million number? Fewer dead is better, isn't it?
What I heard instead was that some (not all) Jews need the Holocaust as an identity anchor. Something to give meaning to their existence. What a claim to fame!
@EndWesternTyranny What's more pathetic: me wanting to open a debate about the truth of the holocaust or you throwing insults at me and wishing you could have me arrested for my "insolent" curiosity? Mankind would never progress beyond the dark ages if we left people like you in charge....I hope you don't pretend you're an atheist - because you're a fundamentalist when it comes to this stuff.
@dissidentaggress0r what's more pathetic: going on youtube to spew hatred against an entire race of people or randomly accusing someone of wanting you to be "arrested?" Because you've done both. find something else to do, racist...
@dissidentaggress0r Just because you think 1+1=11 doesn't make it so. Anything that doesn't swing along with your dopey conspiracy theory is instantly dismissed and considered 'propaganda' or 'non-factual'. You are a waste of time, space, and air.
@AroundSun "Anything that doesn't swing along with your dopey conspiracy theory.."
I started out as a believer like you. It was only when I actually began researching the "Big H" that I found there was barely a shred of physical evidence to support it. But the story itself holds up pretty well - as long as you don't analyse it too much.
And Nuremberg? Communist judges sitting in judgement of their ideological enemies. Gee - I wonder how this trial is going to turn out? What a load of shit.
@dissidentaggress0r 9/11 was an inside job too right? LoL. You people are so brain dead, that I do not feel the need to spend another second entertaining your crap.
If this is done then the American People and the Nations of the world could legally declare all the TRILLIONS of dollars of debt owed to these corrupted criminal bankers to be NULL AND VOID, and no one would owe them a penny. We and our governments can be LEGALLY DEBT FREE! Then we can set up a new interest-free economic system.
The simplest thing we the People can do is to call for the U.S. government and every other government to issue it's own "interest free" currency. Who ever heard of a Nation having to "borrow" it's own currency and pay interest on it? But this is exactly what is going on in the U.S.A. and other countries. The second thing WE can do is take these criminal "bankers" to a court of law and get a verdict of GUILTY of fraud etc etc etc. DEBT = NULL & VOID NO WARS
I worked on Wall St. for 7 years, and I can tell you for sure that the corruption there is rampant. If the general public knew what went on behind closed doors in the corporate world, millions would be protesting.. Wall st executives, financial advisors, and stock brokers are hired easily when they possess sociopathic qualities.. Karma will soon bury most of them, but the harm done will mostly effect the middle and working classes.. So sad!
@javierserna1000 My fear is that those qualities are really enforced market disciplines which, if not internalized cost those professionals their livelihood. It's indeed a sad inheritable culture. Sort of a brainwashing process. I think education should be protected from that.
@javierserna1000 I don't think they'll be protesting again too soon. It cost us too much when the "Occupy Movement" kids were doing it. I never knew it was up to the entity being protested to regulate the protest.
If you don't trust Nader or Chomsky that the current system is socialism for the rich I recommend Nobel prize (of economics) laureate Joseph Stiglitz. Type into google, first entry.
Chomsky read Stiglitz (and cites him in his books). They don't make stuff up and it's not Friedman pseudoscience. ;)
@jjenson2006 They clearly understand the difference. They are claiming that capitalism has never been laissez-faire in practice. Just like Communism has never been truly Marxist. Both laissez-faire capitalism and Marxism are ideals that are universally corrupted in the real world by the powerful for their own ends. Government controlled capitalism is what happens when you allow corporate money determine elections.
@shishkabobby Yes, but the more capitalist you make a country, the less problems there are and the more marxist you make a country, the more problems are caused.
When you allow government to regulate economics, you cause problems and marxism requires a government to regulate it. That's the major difference between free market capitalism and marxism.
@jjenson2006 Nonsense! There is not a country on the planet that practices "free market" capitalism. All governments regulate their economies. JM Keynes was no Marxist. The question is how they regulate and stimulate. Markets left to their own devices would crash occasionally. All economists admit this. And who suffers most in a "free market" down period? Who is suffering now? Those that caused it? No. The most vulnerable workers. That's why it's important to regulate correctly.
@canteluna "That's why it's important to regulate correctly."
BS! A free market with a sound monetary system (backed by gold & silver) without a central bank regulates itself. The economic crisis was caused by the Fed and government. The GSE's should have never existed! They were the money launderers of the crisis. They bought mortgages that they explicitly backed by the taxpayers. Lenders were then able to lend money without a care in the world because of riskless lending.
@jjenson2006 You called me out on my opinion & I called you out on misrepresenting fact: There is no govt with a free market economy & there has never been a true Marxist economy so you can't compare nonexistent systems as if they exist. To do so invites criticism. Now you also throw in to the argument a non-existent monetary system. However I agree with you about implicating the Fed in the crisis & that money is a corrupting influence in elections (an atypical Libertarian stance).
@canteluna " There is no govt with a free market economy "
Wrong. A free market economy means the MARKET is free from government. It doesn't mean no government. No government is anarchy. Without government protecting private contracts, there is no market.
" there has never been a true Marxist economy "
Because there can't be. It would fall apart long before it is even gets started.
@canteluna "Now you also throw in to the argument a non-existent monetary system."
What non-existent monetary system? Where you born yesterday? The US dollar used to be backed by gold. Nixon completely took us off the gold standard and this system of fiat money has been falling apart ever since. The keynesian system we are on robs purchasing power from the holders of dollars.
@jjenson2006 "The US dollar used to be backed by gold." You prove my point. You are talking about non-existent economic systems. Typical of Libertarians to construct straw dog arguments. That was Friedman's genius. But what is most pathetic is that you pride yourselves as being free thinkers yet you can't handle it when someone disagrees with your opinion and dogma. And most of your points here are opinions not facts and I'm not interested in your opinions. Find someone else's leg to piss on.
What is your point? Obviously what we're discussing is what NEEDS to be done, which means things have to change because they're NON-EXISTANT (DUH!). The dollar can be backed by gold again. If it is and we did away with the central bank AND there were floating rates AND the government followed the constitution, this country would change for the better.
@canteluna An actual analyses of how the dollar is treated internationally, and given finance system. You quickly realize that the U.S. Dollar is backed by petroleum. The U.S. Dollar is the petrol-dollar, all business involving oil is done in dollars, and only dollars. If a country wants to buy oil, they have to exchange their currency for U.S. Dollars first. This is what the dollar is backed by in the twenty first century.
Its as easy as this. "heads I win, tails you lose". If heads comes up, I get ot reap the profits. If tails comes up, a bailout comes to my rescue. So, its a win-win situation for those who designed this semi-clever scheme.
Thanks, you have proved that Chumpski speaks a twisted tale.
Lets go back to the start of this problem - Democrats, Clintoon and Barney Fag decided that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac needed to make home loans to flakes that could not repay the loans... the rest is history, put the blame where it belongs - Resting on the shoulders of our socialist pigs.
@TheProgressistViewer As a libertarian I would agree 100%. I would also say that libertarians who are waking up to a true anti-state ideal would do well to read champions of the 19th century socialist ideal like a Benjamin Tucker who although was called a socialist at the same time identified himself as an "unterrified Jeffersonianist." Terms like libertarian, socialist, mutualist, classical liberal have been hijacked by statist and twisted out of shape so we don't talk to one another. Think!
Free market capitalism works... it's just that no ones doing it. Failure is a part of life and there's no such thing as too big to fail. Stop trying to save stupidity...
The Bail out is reverse Socialism where People's money saves the large business owned by a few billionaire families so they keep controlling the State !
Of course what they describe more closely represents socialism than free market capitalism. The problem is the politicians more than the corporations. The corporations just take what they can get. The politicians use our money, which they steal from us at gun point, to buy re-election through granting of favors. If they actually followed the constitution and limited government to its intended actions, we would not have these problems.
We are in trouble... America... We are in TROUBLE... this guy cannot fix it. Do you understand it?
Dem party needs Regan. these clowns are lacking. Less Gov. We need economic grouth. You defeat every person with a D next to there name.. meaning Democrat.
Capitalism is hegemonic. It is various businesses, races, professions, classes, and religions competing for world domination. Competition is the means--domination is the goal. Russia, China, Brazil compete with America and Western Europe. Those who are on the outside in the race--the dispossessed, the poor and the working class have no horse in the race. Why should they fight? Why should they defend the State? Why should they defend private property? They waste their lives being slaves to others.
Well if you knew what it was called all along, what was even the point of you posting in the first place? You sarcastically asked what that setup was called, as if to imply a corporation getting bailed out by government is "free market capitalism". So I gave you the actual term. Then you responded with more sarcasm as if you didn't need to look it up.
I called it corporatism from the beginning. That was the whole point of my first comment. What was the point of yours?
I guess I should have known. It takes a true intellectual like Noam to miss the whole concept of risk management.
Honestly, is Noam the guy you go to when you want to understand finances? Hell no. But does he say that? No. He is so smart that he thinks he knows everything. He will completely miss policies and risk, then try to cover his tracks to keep you thinking he is truly brilliant and insightful.
This needs to get out to America over and over again until we really get it. We have been deceived into thinking it's Right vs Left, Conservatives vs Liberals, Nazi's vs Commie's. That's all a bunch of bullshit lies. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtin, the sold out Lame Stream Media has been telling us for years and years. The man behind the curtin, pulling all the strings and pushing all the levers, are The Rich Men Of The Earth! They are completely enslaving us. We must stop them!
This conversation about how the words "free market" are mis-used to describe corporatism reminds me of the time "communism" was mis-used to describe Marxism so that a new word "communalism" had to be created to describe true communism. In a true free market, the government would have nothing to do with the market. The closest thing to a free market that I know of is bartering. Long live Craigslist.
C. describes how corporatism works only within the support from a nanny state. This by default means there is no real free market, instead we have a nanny state in support of the corporate body. I find the implication is that free market econ is not possible. There is no free market! It is a lie to even use the term free market, as if it is something that is existent!
This is the truest and smartest video I have seen on this subject to date. I know the truth when I hear it and I wish that the people I deal with every day knew it too. All that I hear is how evil Obama is and other nonsense their religious and political organizations feed them.
is coming from someone else..Bailouts will lead to a currency crisis.. If bailouts could work no one would ever have to do anything.. We could just print money and bail everyone out.. Easy..
He's right. I don't disagree with what he's saying. I disagree with the solution that people like this have though. Their solution is always to abandon the free market. Instead we need to abandon the nanny state. Tough love for everyone or as the founders said: Equal justice under the law.
Very disapointted that you'd refer to Chomsky's book on economics. all i can say is actual free market capitalism is the most rational choice and most realistic.
Read a book called 'economics in one lesson' by Hazlitt.
What you guys knock as Capitalism is actually closer to Socialism. We haven't had pure Capitalism for over 100 years. True Capitalism is about freedom and liberty free from Government control or advantages to one group or another. Like cay311 said "IN free market capitalism, there is no bailouts or subsidies like we have on our economy."
Nader just doesn't get it. Noam Chompsky is simply a Marxist.
@Thesterness that is complete bullshit. in that case, it was obvious the parents are at fault. also, no classical free-market libertarian would promote that, past or present. it is completely against the principles of classical libertarians since some kind of standard of age has to be set to differ between adults and children.
how about you give a real legit criticism of free-market capitalism. (including the part where we support punishment to people who break the law: eg, child slavery)
@Thesterness my criticism wasn't based on facts at all. it was that these types of arguments, especially from Chomsky, are not representative is free-market capitalism.
if someone said 'SEX IS BAD!" and then pointed to a rape statistic.
then i said, well no, sex is not rape.
then this someone said, well the facts speak for themselves.
this is obviously a nonsense reply. show me where classical libertarians support child abuse and you might have a point. but they obviously don't, so just no.
check my channel for video's about daytrading and trade like me in forex (EUR/USD, CAD/JPY etc.), stocks (coca-cola, phillips etc.), commodities (gold, silver, oil etc.) and indices (Nasdaq, Nikkei etc.
politicians are lying again when they say they learned something and that this will never happen again.
This will happen again as it is part of this theft economics and politicians always aide the banks and pension funds by easing regulations for them to deceive the public again because the public always forgets after a decade, same goes for wars!
I am amazed how the public believes these bailouts have to take place for the system not to fall and that this is difficult stuff
@xMaXiMuSx Returning to the "pure" free market will bottom out the economy entirely. Without the Federal Reserve and the bailout - as odious as the latter is - things would be as bad as 1929. That it's not is because enough of the Great Depression-era props are still in place. Anyone who believes in "the free market" solving all problems - which it created in the first place - is dealing in theology, not reality.
no the reality is that goverment intervention is what caused the problem.. Free cheap moeny by the federal reserve to wall street speculators and goverment bailous and stimulus.. Great depression was not caused by free the market..
@xMaXiMuSx The Great Depression was indeed caused by the speculative bull market of the 1920s. Unfortunately most of the people who lived through it are gone, so the disinformation you're repeating is somehow taking hold. Believe me, no one who experienced the time, high or low, & witnessed it 1st hand, ever blamed it on "the government." The current problem began with deregulation under Bush (and Reagan before that.) The "bailouts" have been the only thing preventing an allout crash.
Yes the great depression was caused by speculators with the cheap easy money given to them by the federal reserve.. Nothing to do with the free market. The bailouts are perpetuating a failed system, not allowing the economy to restructure in a meaningful way.. It has nothing with one party or the other, both are making the same mistake.. Obama is escalating Bush's failed policy with goverment interventions and massive spending as Roosevelt did with Hoover.. I think the disinfo
@xMaXiMuSx The Wall Street speculators of the '20s inflated their own in-house stocks, financial officers gave themselves no-interest and no-repayment loans, public stocks were floated in dubious bubble companies in which these officers had secret interests, which had little if anything to do with the Fed. That latter "theory" has more to do with modern anti-government ideology than the facts of the Depression. A good read on this is "The Hellhound of Wall Street" by Michael Perino.
@xMaXiMuSx Free market capitalism does not exist. It never has. It never will. It is like the Communist Utopia. In every form of capitalism that has ever existed it has been bailed out by government policies including war and religion (both of which are for profit businesses). The invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan were capitalist enterprises. Oil in Iraq and natural gas in Afghanistan are the rationales for both of those invasions and occupations. Profit--not humanitiarianism or freedom.
Capitalism is the wage slavey of immense humanity for the abstract process of capital accumulation and concentration in the hands of a few. A system of perpetual war, poverty, exploitation, enviornmental destructions, animal cruelty of industrial proportions.A system of suppression of our true humanity and creative potentials, A prison planet of imposition of fear, insecurity and dehumanisation. WE NEED TO SHARE THE EARTH IN COOPERATION FOR OUR COLLECTIVE NEEDS AND WELL BEING
local filmmaker...I would rather stay poor and fight then be corrupt....and its out there for up coming artists.. i see it first hand....its built within the system. We have to ride the line until we find out how to fight without getting shot in some crazy revolt......think think think think think....hmmm i think we are much smarter than those before us. just have to wake the rest up. if we dont use the Constitution it will be gone
I'm glad people will always take the side happily and self-righteously that we shouldn't have had the bailout... but how would these people have reacted to the worldwide depression that would have followed? Oh, I forgot, they deny that would have been the case, instead turning it into some kind of extortion rhetoric.
@Relbl what!? people read comments for a reason...to see what other people think...please keep researching your country....start with The Century of Self. find it on youtube.
One problem with Chomsky is a failure to distinguish between producers (industrial capitalism) and their speculators (finance capitalism). The health of GM – their profits, wages, plant & equipment – is in the national interest. The health of GM's stock value or investment portfolio is not. Industrial production should in fact be supported and protected against financial speculation by the state.
Nader gets it but isn't always clear, but Chomsky is pretty useless on economics.
The Federal Reserve Bank devalues our currency over a period of time. That means...we get poorer over a period of time. Every paper currency in history has been destroyed through a central bank devaluing it's currency. It's a hidden tax on the people. If your even talkin' politics without knowing how the central bank works, you are SERIOUSLY mistaken. Learn about the Federal Reserve and how it has a monopoly on the US's entire monetary system. You can't get politcs without economics.
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." -Thomas Jefferson
I listened to Robert Kiyosaki's advice on silver: "I believe this is the biggest investment anyone can make in the next 100yrs" I did my research and found an opportunity that has changed my life in 12 months. Take a look like i did.... Visit: goldsave.co/
Arturo Montenora claims Knowledge is power, we need to open our minds and realize what we are doing as a nation. and educate the masses in order to make better decisions. (AP).
A wise man recently said to me that the difference between a right-wing union and a left-wing union is a right-wing union will sell you out before breakfast and a left-wing union will sell you out before dinner. Ultimately we cannot rely on the trade union leadership but don't underestimate the usefulness of unions as a political tool. They have an important role to play in launching a rank and file movement that can act as a counter-force to an otherwise inevitable age of austerity.
I believe that the state should be as small as possible too, so small even as to say that every citizen should have direct political participation to shape their politics.
That authority is corrupting of its own, but also property.
Therefor I dont believe in capitalism, look up what anarchism is about and youll see that is much closer to your views then you might think it actually worked for a while too before kapitalism and communism destroyed .
The ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class. However we also have the power to influence and manipulate our institutions through collective action - this is the only way. Industrial action is a vital tool for our class - don't buy into the idea that "we are all middle class now"
This is the most stupid video I ever saw do you for one-second believe the American people are smart enough to have any idea how hard the White House Congress and Senate are sticking it straight up their asses without lube? The American people will load themselves on the trains drink the Koolaid and hand their executioners the bullets to use on them. Stop telling the Truth Americans are to stupid to except it.
Socialism, will never work in the long run, and the government, has no money, or solutions to offer, to the people, because governments are fictitious entities created to enable people to get advantages to control people, by false promises of stabilization, or whatever the masses desire at the time, to enable the corrupt people of society to use snake oil sales tactics to the majority, that enable them to have power over the people. Its like religion, but more modern and effective.
The market is self-regulating, and when the government gets involved with it, via welfare, or whatever nonsense the state desire to do, it leads to artificial increases, or decreases to where investors, and other people, misrepresent the situation to cause more issues, when the market fixes itself, back to the natural order. There is cycles, and the government, creates a false signal of booms, and bust, to mess up the economical situation, that only a true free market, can regulate efficiently.
Government "Free Market" is Corporatism. The government, is a cancer, and it feeds off the free market, and it uses inflationary methods to keep the livestock, under control, using bribery to serve special interest groups. When a situation arises, the Free Market is blamed, and the solution provide is an state solution that leads to failure in the long run, and more and more fantasies are created to keep the state going, until it collapses entirely.
These rich bankers are laughing at us all,we work hard for a small paypacket, while these scum rort us in everyway possible and when their lavish lifestyles, over the top earnings and bonuses finally send them under they just take our tax money and continue in their criminal rorting. When and how do we stop these criminals?
@73mandala Amen to that! This is why I refer to them as the parastic classes because that is all they do: use their power and influence to feed off our labor.
thats not free market capitalism, its state capitalism. what kind of idiot made this video?? could you possibly be this ignorant or are misinformation and obfuscation your goals?
@oiuoiu988 That's the POINT the video is making..hello! There is NO free-market capitalism..the rich get their bailouts, the small-businesses must sink or swim.
your argument is null and void in a stateless society. what youre describing is a failure of government, not a failure of voluntary exchange. how would the rich get bailouts without the state taking the money of its citizens?? do you think the bank would have some way to force every citizen in a country to give them money if the state wasnt there to take it from us first? this video is a misguided attempt to blame problems caused by the state on voluntary human interaction.
The bailouts are Washington's bastard stepchild, Bush Jr, proposed the bailouts and said they were absolutely necessary and then Obama AND McCain both RAN to Washington to vote YES for the bailouts. This is nothing but the biggest theft in history and although both candidates and the former leader were ALL for the bailouts, now all the leaders want to pretend they were against the theft.
The only problem I have with this is a that a regarded linguist--one who actually SPEAKS about the fraud of using words to describe things that are very different from their actual defintion--does exactly that.
He uses the words "free market" to describe what is actually corporatism, and throws in the phrase "real world" to make the people who use the term "free market" properly, dishonest.
@WideWorldOfWisdom It's called context, he uses it very well. He stresses that what is being called free market is not what is being advertised, so he calls the actual paradigm "real world free market" to separate it from pure ideology. No dishonesty, just misunderstanding on your part.
Free market is really only anarchy applied to business, nothing more.
Oh I see. So when one of the world's foremost language experts misuses terms in such a way as to mean something completely opposite of what they have come to define, it's the listener's fault for "misunderstanding."
@WideWorldOfWisdom He prefaced the statement with that context. Also, I see no one else confused about it. If you can't sit at the big boys table, don't cry about it. Sheesh!
@sistrmdnte Are you kidding? I'm probably the only person who DOESN'T get a hard on at the mention of the name "Chomsky" who actually watched this vid. Just because no one has bothered to post a comment doesn't mean no one is confused by it.
And I am obviously not the one confused...as I said, Chomsky is the distinguished linguist (hey that sounds kinda cool...I wonder if they call him that at parties) who is changing the definitions of words.
@WideWorldOfWisdom Yes, this is the problem with twats like Chomsky. They use their intelligence to bullshit people and confuse gullible waiting humans who buy his latest books. Chomsky is a lot of air, and not a lot of content.
@WideWorldOfWisdom Chomsky refers to specific words in his criticisms, "free market" is a loose phrase roped in to mean different things by different groups claiming to be proponents or opponents of it. Chomsky is using it in one of those ways, so he is not being dishonest. What is your definition of the term?
I could not care less what Chomsky "knows". What matters is what he's spreading. And he's spreading the notion that private property is bad and should be abolished, and he's misleading (by using the term "real free market") to do it.
And thanks for the study advice but I am quite familiar with Chomsky's nonsense anarcho-syndicalist views. They're just proof that it doesn't matter how smart someone is...they can still believe abject nonsense.
And ur telling me IIIiiiii need to "read up on Chomsky"? Jeezus. Take your own advice big fella, before u make yourself look even more like a know-nothing just running his mouth. U know, it just figures that someone defending Chomsky & telling ME to read up on him to understand what he's saying would have actually no knowledge of Chomsky's views. Yeah. And I'M the ignorant one.
I bet u haven't read a single Chomsky paper. Let alone an actual book.
That's the best you've got? You tell me to "read up on Chomsky" if I want to understand him, and then make it it embarrassingly clear you know nothing of Chomsky's views at all...after you call ME ignorant. And the best you can come up with is "lot's of hot air"?
And people wonder why "I weep for the future" is such a popular phrase.

Jews have been driven from every single place they ever lived. They are universally hated and with good reason.

@annisisbell That is like saying "prove evolution". It is such an irrefutable fact, like the Holocaust, that even trying to point it out is a waste of time. @annisisbell You fucking dope. You're not just taking their word for it you ignorant moron. Religion is the only bullshit story that we take without any real evidence. For that matter: why did the Jews in Auschwitz decide to leave with their German "captors" instead of just waiting for their Russian "liberators" to arrive?

So sad!

Two idiots that don't understand the difference between laissez-faire capitalism and government controlled capitalism.
jjenson2006 6 months ago
@jjenson2006 They clearly understand the difference. They are claiming that capitalism has never been laissez-faire in practice. Just like Communism has never been truly Marxist. Both laissez-faire capitalism and Marxism are ideals that are universally corrupted in the real world by the powerful for their own ends. Government controlled capitalism is what happens when you allow corporate money determine elections.
shishkabobby 6 months ago
@shishkabobby Yes, but the more capitalist you make a country, the less problems there are and the more marxist you make a country, the more problems are caused.
When you allow government to regulate economics, you cause problems and marxism requires a government to regulate it. That's the major difference between free market capitalism and marxism.
jjenson2006 6 months ago
@jjenson2006 Nonsense! There is not a country on the planet that practices "free market" capitalism. All governments regulate their economies. JM Keynes was no Marxist. The question is how they regulate and stimulate. Markets left to their own devices would crash occasionally. All economists admit this. And who suffers most in a "free market" down period? Who is suffering now? Those that caused it? No. The most vulnerable workers. That's why it's important to regulate correctly.

jjenson2006 5 months ago
@canteluna "That's why it's important to regulate correctly."
BS! A free market with a sound monetary system (backed by gold & silver) without a central bank regulates itself. The economic crisis was caused by the Fed and government. The GSE's should have never existed! They were the money launderers of the crisis. They bought mortgages that they explicitly backed by the taxpayers. Lenders were then able to lend money without a care in the world because of riskless lending.
jjenson2006 5 months ago
@jjenson2006 You called me out on my opinion & I called you out on misrepresenting fact: There is no govt with a free market economy & there has never been a true Marxist economy so you can't compare nonexistent systems as if they exist. To do so invites criticism. Now you also throw in to the argument a non-existent monetary system. However I agree with you about implicating the Fed in the crisis & that money is a corrupting influence in elections (an atypical Libertarian stance).
canteluna 5 months ago
@canteluna " There is no govt with a free market economy "
Wrong. A free market economy means the MARKET is free from government. It doesn't mean no government. No government is anarchy. Without government protecting private contracts, there is no market.
" there has never been a true Marxist economy "
Because there can't be. It would fall apart long before it is even gets started.
"money is a corrupting influence in elections "
Which is the VERY thing libertarians are against.
jjenson2006 5 months ago
@canteluna "Now you also throw in to the argument a non-existent monetary system."
What non-existent monetary system? Where you born yesterday? The US dollar used to be backed by gold. Nixon completely took us off the gold standard and this system of fiat money has been falling apart ever since. The keynesian system we are on robs purchasing power from the holders of dollars.
jjenson2006 5 months ago
@jjenson2006 "The US dollar used to be backed by gold." You prove my point. You are talking about non-existent economic systems. Typical of Libertarians to construct straw dog arguments. That was Friedman's genius. But what is most pathetic is that you pride yourselves as being free thinkers yet you can't handle it when someone disagrees with your opinion and dogma. And most of your points here are opinions not facts and I'm not interested in your opinions. Find someone else's leg to piss on.
canteluna 5 months ago
@canteluna " You prove my point."
"And most of your points here are opinions"

jjenson2006 5 months ago
@canteluna An actual analyses of how the dollar is treated internationally, and given finance system. You quickly realize that the U.S. Dollar is backed by petroleum. The U.S. Dollar is the petrol-dollar, all business involving oil is done in dollars, and only dollars. If a country wants to buy oil, they have to exchange their currency for U.S. Dollars first. This is what the dollar is backed by in the twenty first century.

Anyone who believes in "the free market" solving all problems - which it created in the first place - is dealing in theology, not reality.

TheAzov 10 months ago

I'm glad people will always take the side happily and self-righteously that we shouldn't have had the bailout... but how would these people have reacted to the worldwide depression that would have followed? Oh, I forgot, they deny that would have been the case, instead turning it into some kind of extortion rhetoric.

RE: 'The Free Market Capitalism'
The organised usury, money changing, financial gambling, HFTs could be everything else but free market and capitalism.
1. This could not be trade at all (what kind of a trade could be the dark pools of liquidity and the toxic assets of any kind).
2. It is not free (things are happening so fast and so much of the information is missing to the population onto the moment of trading).
3. It is not capitalism (what kind of investment HFT-er makes for several msec ).

They have an important role to play in launching a rank and file movement that can act as a counter-force to an otherwise inevitable age of austerity.

hpd I urge you to research the spanish civil war.

"Free market" is impossible because
1. how do you keep the people on top from controlling everyone?
2. how do you make sure everyone at the bottom is fed, clothed, etc?
ANSWER
1. FREELY Share ALL resources and knowledge worldwide, NO more money/property
2. Use LATEST technology to create an ABUNDANCE of all our needs, NO more scarcity, waste or theft
3. Automate/localize ALL production and distribution, NO more wage/debt slavery

The ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class. However we also have the power to influence and manipulate our institutions through collective action - this is the only way. Industrial action is a vital tool for our class - don't buy into the idea that "we are all middle class now"

KevZen2000 1 year ago
The market is self-regulating, and when the government gets involved with it, via welfare, or whatever nonsense the state desire to do, it leads to artificial increases, or decreases to where investors, and other people, misrepresent the situation to cause more issues, when the market fixes itself, back to the natural order. There is cycles, and the government, creates a false signal of booms, and bust, to mess up the economical situation, that only a true free market, can regulate efficiently.
KevZen2000 1 year ago
Government "Free Market" is Corporatism. The government, is a cancer, and it feeds off the free market, and it uses inflationary methods to keep the livestock, under control, using bribery to serve special interest groups. When a situation arises, the Free Market is blamed, and the solution provide is an state solution that leads to failure in the long run, and more and more fantasies are created to keep the state going, until it collapses entirely.

@oiuoiu988 That's the POINT the video is making..hello! There is NO free-market capitalism..the rich get their bailouts, the small-businesses must sink or swim.
Profits are privatized -- losses are socialized.
marcostar57 1 year ago
@marcostar57
your argument is null and void in a stateless society. what youre describing is a failure of government, not a failure of voluntary exchange. how would the rich get bailouts without the state taking the money of its citizens?? do you think the bank would have some way to force every citizen in a country to give them money if the state wasnt there to take it from us first? this video is a misguided attempt to blame problems caused by the state on voluntary human interaction.

The bailouts are Washington's bastard stepchild, Bush Jr, proposed the bailouts and said they were absolutely necessary and then Obama AND McCain both RAN to Washington to vote YES for the bailouts. This is nothing but the biggest theft in history and although both candidates and the former leader were ALL for the bailouts, now all the leaders want to pretend they were against the theft.
roguefullyyours 1 year ago
The only problem I have with this is a that a regarded linguist--one who actually SPEAKS about the fraud of using words to describe things that are very different from their actual defintion--does exactly that.
He uses the words "free market" to describe what is actually corporatism, and throws in the phrase "real world" to make the people who use the term "free market" properly, dishonest.
Completely dishonest on his part.
WideWorldOfWisdom 1 year ago 7
@WideWorldOfWisdom It's called context, he uses it very well. He stresses that what is being called free market is not what is being advertised, so he calls the actual paradigm "real world free market" to separate it from pure ideology. No dishonesty, just misunderstanding on your part.
Free market is really only anarchy applied to business, nothing more.
Cayvmann 1 year ago
Oh I see. So when one of the world's foremost language experts misuses terms in such a way as to mean something completely opposite of what they have come to define, it's the listener's fault for "misunderstanding."
Yeah that makes a lot of sense.
WideWorldOfWisdom 1 year ago
@WideWorldOfWisdom He prefaced the statement with that context. Also, I see no one else confused about it. If you can't sit at the big boys table, don't cry about it. Sheesh!
sistrmdnte 1 year ago
@sistrmdnte Are you kidding? I'm probably the only person who DOESN'T get a hard on at the mention of the name "Chomsky" who actually watched this vid. Just because no one has bothered to post a comment doesn't mean no one is confused by it.
And I am obviously not the one confused...as I said, Chomsky is the distinguished linguist (hey that sounds kinda cool...I wonder if they call him that at parties) who is changing the definitions of words.
WideWorldOfWisdom 1 year ago
@WideWorldOfWisdom Yes, this is the problem with twats like Chomsky. They use their intelligence to bullshit people and confuse gullible waiting humans who buy his latest books. Chomsky is a lot of air, and not a lot of content.
SeeProfileForDetails 1 year ago
@SeeProfileForDetails Well Chomsky does his fair share of B.S.ing that is for sure but here he's just telling the truth. You have to see that.
amishnation 10 months ago
@WideWorldOfWisdom Chomsky refers to specific words in his criticisms, "free market" is a loose phrase roped in to mean different things by different groups claiming to be proponents or opponents of it. Chomsky is using it in one of those ways, so he is not being dishonest. What is your definition of the term?

I'm taking about Chomsky and how he knows more about where and how certain words got their meaning. Not your half baked criticism.
VVillowz 9 months ago
@VVillowz
WideWorldOfWisdom 9 months ago
@WideWorldOfWisdom

And people wonder why "I weep for the future" is such a popular phrase.
