  • @brydon189...I'm an American and 30 is freeeeeezing!

LOL love this video!! Very funny! :)

  • Um... I don't get Canadian "humor"...?

  • this july in vancouver was lush. There was a heatwave on and it was still like 30 deg at 10pm in the evening.

  • @1982FMJ just wait for an american to say '30 degrees? thats freezing' :D

  • this is an Americans perspective on the weather in Canada.

First off, I live in Wilmington, North Carolina, where the low temperature is 40 F in the winter. The average high in January and February is 50 to 60 degrees. The palms trees get a little chilly.

Now, I have family in New York, where I spend my christmas and Thanksgiving, and December in New York is cold. Unbearably cold for even the locals.

If we think New York and Boston are unbearable, we can only imagine how cold it is in Canada

  • @Dslater417 I've inlaws who live in the Shushwap and Okanagan regions in BC. It rains more than it snows there and most of the time and in the winter there it's a lovely 32 or so. Of course I have a friend who lives 3hrs north of Edmonton and it gets to be a balmy -55. It all depends on where you live in Canada because in Toronto and Ottawa they get the same weather we do in Upstate NY

  • The weather's like that in most of the US now, too. Extremely cold... yech.

  • that was sooo funny LOL

  • america will always be seconed best

  • lol canada is still better at spelling :D

  • only to the US. the formerly great britain ranks 341st and sinking fast. bunch of socialist fairies. LOOK OUT! 4 Iranians in rowboats! With people like you, they are assured of over-runnning Wankerland. Chamberlain would be so pleased....Churchill so disgusted.

  • this is a good joke.

  • wow this is real canadian wheaher lol just like last winterlol

  • I live in the maritimes. 10-20cm (about 4-8 inches) is a typical winter forecast. 25 or 30cm with high winds will cancel school. 10-20FEET (which is insane) said smoothely is a good punchline. They know their comedy.

I've never been to the prairies, but -286 and -329 are colder than absolute zero on the Celsius scale. Those people are going to loose absolutely all of their energy so that their atoms implode, and then get even colder, which is scientifically impossible. LOL

  • lol i live in the praries the most we get in winter is a week of -45 to -56 with the windchill temperatures nothing too bad

  • lucky you! my bro would be jealous.

  • It's amazing how accurate this is LOL

  • i live in england and would like to say on behalf of all english canada is fantastic and america is awful.

  • what the hekcs wrong with Quebec? beautiful part of the country

  • He's saying (on behalf of all English) (Canada is fantastic). Not "English Canada is fantastic".

  • haha why does everyone argue about which is better. cant we just all agree canada is way better that its overweight retarded brother?

  • lol that's funny. those dumbasses say that canada is america's hat, well I say no. America is Canada's Shit-Stained underwear.

  • Canada is bigger and were on top that makes you our Bitch!

  • @bcsowncool HAAA!!!! But when we get hard it points north!!!!!! HAAA!!!!!! Oh, when you're 'on top' it's because we're on our back 'pointing north'!!! ;0) HAAAAA!!!!

  • I lol'd so fucking hard at that. :D

  • @12connor213 who cares? they're both great countries. only a looser like you would care which is better.

  • @12connor213 than you mean?

  • I am Canadian and I care about your arguements so much that I'm not going to read them. Sorry... :P

  • Even if she said that canada was better, it didn't mean that he had to go and call her a "lardass". It's ironic really, as America is the fattest country on the planet, and he is calling someone else fat. Also to that asshole brad, Canada has taken no part in the Iraqi war. Sure, we have supplied their planes with some fuel, and helped with some logistic shit, and put more of our troops in Afghanistan so that more Americans can be in Iraq, but we are not involved in that pointless shit.

  • im not even gunna bother readin the big rant below, waste of energy and time

  • we never get weathers like that. thats major high, thats global warming style.

  • just ignore the last two comments i take them both back I misread things

  • opps i mistyped on my last comment i meant to say "us" not "use"

  • Wow... leave it to the American to make cheap shots when they don't have an actual argument. Rather than try to refute the notion that Canada is 'better' than you (the reverse of which, by the way, you are constantly trying to shove down our throats) by giving credible examples and statistics, you resort to ridiculous assertions about a person's weight. Not only is that entirely irrelevant and hurtful; it's grasping at straws, and reminds me of something Ann Coulter would do.

  • I read the argument between them. Not once did Pittski say America was better than Canada. However veetoria clearly stated that: "Canada has we are better than thou complex because really, we are." Sorry, but the Canadian was the jerk in this case and deserved the comments she got.

  • Oh and Veetoria I haven't read all ofthe two of your immature little arguement but from what I read maybe you should just stop posting before you make all the rest of use Canadian's look bad, okay :D

  • Hey BradPittski- I'm sure you're not trying to be prejudice..but you are. Veetoria might be oblivious but that doesn't mean the entire Canadian population is. As a matter of fact I don't know 1 Canadian that isn't aware of the war, 3 more Canadians just died there the other day. There is no "typical Canadian" just like theres no "typical American" I saw the 1st 5 seconds of Canadians vs. Americans..yes those ladies were rude - theres rude people in the States too and clearly you're one of them.

  • Wow....... and all that for a TV comedy show at CBC being "youtubed" 1 yr and a half ago?!...

    Wow...amazing :P

  • Arcade Fire, April Wine, The Band, Barenaked Ladies, BTO, Steppenwolf, and Matt Mays & El Torpedo

  • not the mention The Guess Who

  • the guess who was the first one i said

  • Sorry, I didn't see that....my bad....

  • everything is bigger in america, including the people

  • But not their brains.

  • -286 degrees, that's how cold it feels here sometimes. By the way do you have any polar bears in America?

  • cool, i live in the town they grew up! (they do suck)

  • I'm sorry, did you just claim that americans do not like Canadian music? Ok let me see... You all enjoy Feist? Canadian. Sum 41? Canadian. In fact, I live in the city right beside where Sum 41 grew up. Avril Lavigne? Napanee... hour and a half drive from my home.

  • they all suck... and I'm Canadian

  • you're saying RUSH sucks??? Now your entire opinion is null and void. Rush is one of the most legendary bands EVER. Someone who doesn't like rush, or at least respect their work is retarded.

  • Avril Lavigne is for 14 year olds world wide. Sum 41??? LOL! Are you serious? Okay, how about The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, REM, Green Day? Or going back to the alternative 80's. The Pixies, Love and Rockets, The Ramones? A vast majority of the best bands in North America are from the States. The reason is because America has something Canada doesn't; *people*.

  • and you also have a much larger population of jackasses... much like yourself.

  • LOL, typical Canadian comment. Well you should consider the population the next time you run your arrogant mouth about Canada's pop music (almost all of which sucks and you know it).

  • the pop music in canada doesnt suck, despite your narrow-minded opinion. If you someday move out of your mid-life crisis and realize that it is no longer the 80's, we are in 2008now, you would realize that every artist I named is a big celebrity, and maybe YOU don't like them but americans in general do. You have 10 times the pop., and you have a better chance of an opportunity in the music business in USA. That just means that canadian artists are generally better, as it is harder for them todo

  • "That just means that canadian artists are generally better"

Okay, I think I'm now convinced that Canadians are not capable of making a comment without stating that they are in one way or another "better" than Americans. The Canadian bands you mentioned are hardly better than the American bands I mentioned. Sum 41??? Avril Levegin???? The Bare Naked Ladies??? Uh yeah, okay. Sorry, you've lost this debate.

  • hey dude, um kinda coming in at the end of this discussion but don't label us all just cause one of us is retarded. We ain't all dumbasses...but all of us do drink beer :P

  • I think that both Canadians and Americans are being ignorant.

BradPittski is obviously just one more in a long line of narcissistic Americans propping up his country above all others, while Canadians are being shallow and not admitting that the U.S has a far more lucrative entertainment industry.

But really, Americans have been infested by rap and hip hop, and for that reason alone your musical opinions really don't mean shit. No amount of good bands can make up for that cesspool.

  • You're right about ignorance on both sides, but the narcissistic one in the debate I was having is the Canadian my dear. I don't have a: "we are better than thou" like some Canadians do against their neighbor. I also agree with your opinions concerning the "cesspool" of R&B, hip hop and rap, all of which I can't stand.

  • See? Cross-border relations are easy :D

  • it's a matter of not getting sassy.

  • We have a " we are better then thou, " complex in Canada because, well, really, we are...

  • "We have a " we are better then thou, " complex in Canada because, well, really, we are..."

Sorry sweetheart, but arrogance like yours is exactly what I'm talking about. I've been living abroad for years, and as far as I can tell, this is the main difference between Americans and Canadians. Good luck veetoria.

  • You have been living abroad??

Then you know the sentiments that people have towards Americans vs Canadians...I have travelled extensively abroad...and I have seen it..

The only true arrogance comes from out neighbors to the south, the US. Where as we take pride in outselves yet are willing to work with other peoples and are willing to move forward on human rights issues and the like, the policies of the US involve trying to change everyone into them...which is more arrogant..?

  • Sweetheart, you are a typical oblivious Canadian. I take it you are refering to the Iraqi war. Say to your average Canadian: "True or false, Canada is an active participant of the Iraqi war". 999 out of 1000 Canadian will say: "false". Ever read the article "Canada's secret contribution to the war in Iraq"? Furthermore, I'm refering to cintizens who travel (like you and I) not government. Your "we are better than you" attitude says it all veetoria, that is the difference between you and I.

  • How the hell does weather have to do with

    Canada being in the war?

  • Why don't you ask ol' lardass, she's the one who brought it up.

  • you might not be saying that you are better than we are... but you are clearly saying that our artists suck, implying that america is better than Canada. This makes you a hypocrite as well as a dumbass american. What i meant by my previous statement because you didnt understand it was that it is much harder for a canadian to make it into the music business, as if the production companies have a good canadian and good american, americans win every time. so when there is a candaian, they are good.

  • Oh boy its august its the end of july up here in canada...time to board up the house and get ready for winter....see ya'll next may!!

  • What about the territories? I'm up in Yellowknife. The territories never seem like part of Canada. We each get only one MP. Big whoop.

  • i know, it's unfortunate, but when you think about it, it's quite logical. the territories combined account for 100 000 people versus ontario's 11 000 000

  • the original cast did something like this but way better..

  • Shania Twain? Yea she's Canadian too. Celine Dion? Oh yeah that's right she is too. Nelly Furtado? Yea she's canadian and you all like her. K-os? Canadian. Massari? Canadian. Neil Young? Canadian. Alexisonfire? Canadian. Barenaked Ladies? Canadian. Billy Talent? Canadian. Hedley? Canadian. Lillix? Canadian. Oh and I almost forgot my favourite. RUSH. The list just goes on. So you can't say Americans don't like Rush you self-centered bastards.

  • what the fuck are you talking about?

    Wrong reply.

  • you forgot the guess who, trooper,

  • wintersleep,joel plaskett,

  • ROFL!!! That was funny and I don't care what you Americans say about "Anti-americanism" as far as I'm concerned American and Canadian humor is the same.

  • well actually I do notice a huge difference between American and Canadian humor. I don't laugh at the American stuff that much and I keep up with the news and everything on CNN, I just don't find it as funny

Cept Blue Caller TV. We're Canadian, so we can relate to the Rednecks

  • Canadians love American humor. Seinfeld, The Simpsons, Family Guy are all very popular in Canada and among all Canadians I have met. The main difference between American and Canadian humor is that things like Molson ads, Rick Mercer etc... have an anit-American slant to them while maintaining a certain flag-waving patriotism that appeals to Canadians. Canadian humor therfore centers around making the Canadian audience feel good, rather than making them laugh. This why you like it.

  • the stuff about Seinfeld, simpsons, family guy, yes its true (I live in rural Manitoba BTW), I was talking about the stuff like comedy central, or Last comic standing, I find a very small amount of they're stuff is actually funny

What makes me feel good are Rick Mercers "Talking to Americans"

Those are so funny, I love how we get stereotyped, very amusing :)

  • I dont know what you are talking about...Canadian humor is so much better than American humor. Its true that canadians like Family Guy, The Simpsons, and Seinfeld, but dont you think its sad that it has to be a cartoon in order to be funny. Btw, look at how many comedians come from Canada. Canadian humor seems to be a bit more quick and intelligent, its also not as censored. I'm an american and canadian humor makes me laugh a hell of a lot more than american humor...

  • If you think "this hour has 22 minutes" is intelligent humor then you're obviously not very bright. "Intelligent" humor is more like (the late) George Carlin, Gallagher, and Steven Wright. The bulk of Canadian humor is like American humor, there really is no difference, other than that much of Canada's has a tendancy to slander Americans. Looking at your profile I see you're only 18, have you even been out of the States yet? I didn't think so.

  • First of all, I was talking about humor in tv shows, not comedians.Yes, George Carlin(Rip) is an intelligent comedian, but the average american would rather watch Dane Cook than listen to Carlins intelligent social comentary.Average Americans are simple, so they get simle shows with simple humor. The biggest difference b/t the two is canada is not as censored.Btw, you're obviously not very bright since you make assumptions on who I am.I'm also canadian and I've been out of the states plenty.

  • lol Oh brother....can you go whine and sulk somewhere else please?

  • I'm not whining or sulking, I'm simply stating a fact that Canadians do like American t.v. programming and listed a few shows to support my statement.

  • I'm sorry, but I like my nations humor much more then yours. Of course I enjoy American Television (Not the trash, the funny stuff)

You claim your Canadian yet your page says your American???

  • I'm sorry but I never claimed to be Canadian. Second, the U.S. simply has much more to choose from in terms of comedians, and entertainment in general and therefor the variety is much broader. The same can be said about pop(rock)-music. The U.S. simply has much more to offer and as a result, the fan base for American bands in Canada is much bigger than the American fan base of Canadian music. (same can be said for comedians, movies, tv shows, etc...)

  • It all comes down to there being more people in the States then in Canada...so....it would reason that there would be a higher percentage of people in the entertainment industry from the US...that is the only reason there is more...

In reality though, Canadian humour is funnier..by a large margin...and we are much more able to take a joke and joke about ourselves...

  • Please give me the link to a video here on youtube that shows Rick Mercer for example approaching unexpecting Canadians and asking dumb questions, then titling it "Talking to Canadians". Or Molson beer comercials that depict cocky Canadians being humiliated and beaten by Americans. Canadians never laugh at themselves, and seem to constantly use Americans to reinforce "we ar better than thou" complex. As far as humor, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, and South Park. Need I say more?

  • We laugh at ourselves all the time...if you had ever watched a full episode of This Hour has 22 Mins or Air Farce, or shows like Corner Gas or Little Mosque on the Prairie...we constantly make fun of ourselves and laugh about it...we very rarely take ourselves seriously...

  • Well then I guess we have different definitions as to what it means to laugh at one's self. Again, I'd like to see your definiton if you can provide a link.

  • It is funny that you mention the Molson commericals, because both Molson and Labatt are American owned and operated companies now...before this take over..our ads were deicdedly Canadian and involved no Americans what-so-ever

  • uh no, you arw wrong there. Molson is American owned, but the ads I'm talking about were made before it merged with an American company. We don't see those ads in the States, only on youtube .

  • I am not wrong...and in any way, if they are the adds I am talking about...the American gets his ass beat because he is insulting Canadians and is completely clueless of what he is doing...

  • They are "Canadian" commercials, and there are perhaps 8 or more. Also, for a quick reality check, go to "Americans vs Canadians" right here on youtube, the showdown in the hotel. These would be typical Canadians in the vid, a far cry from your arrogant beer ads I'm afraid.

  • I just saw you haircutting vid. 5 foot 5, and about 200 lbs? Yep, you're "better" than Americans veetoria, keep up the good work.

  • Wow, lets take cheap shots at people, there was no need for that comment, so, I am finished with you...

  • Well veetoria, you're the one who claims you're so much better than Americans, so perhaps by calling you out on *your own* short-comings and imperfections you'll realize that you're not. Still feeling confident? I didn't think so. Wise up my dear.

  • Nothing you say hurts my confidence...and just for the record...I am not 5'5

  • I'm not trying to hurt you dear, I'm simply trying to get you to understand that when you think you're sporting a glamorous robe far better than others, just as in *The Emperor's New Clothes*, the reality is you're bare ass naked.

  • You didn't hurt me at all....just goes to show how important to me you THINK you are....

  • sweetheart, read my previous comment, it's all there.

  • Judging by the thumbs down it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks you're an idiot. :D

Sorry, couldn't resist. :) Just saw your channel comment today. Forgot I had turned comments on.

  • Here's a neutral perspective. I really can't say I know what "Canadian" humor is because I lump it together with American humor (where as British humor is unmistakable). Over all, there are good and bad American/Canadian shows. However it seems that if the new Batman movie were a Canadian film, Canadians would say it's better than all the others, if Nirvana were from Vancouver rather than Seattle, then they would be most Canadians' favorite band. What's with all the competition with the U.S.?

  • lol, an american would probably think this is true:P

  • Yep, a video that has absolutely nothing to do with Americans and yet you still manage to slip in your little 24 hourly insult on the States.

  • Hahaha xD

    Hillarious! 5/5!

  • The only difference between this skit and an actual winter weather report is that this guy's actually being honest.

  • This is great! I'm British, and I get quite peeved at Americans who don't understand our humour, but now I have found another country that shares our dry sense on black humour! GO CANADA!

  • Our humour is very much the same.

  • Yes, Canadian and American humor is something Americans don't really get I find. I just came from a video poking fun at America in a playful manner but all the Americans seemed to take it seriously and were bashing every other country :(

  • lol where i was born we had winter from november to May, now I live in Ottawa and everyone doesn't understand why cold doesn't bug me! lol

  • were you born in Manitoba? I live in Rural Manitoba and we have notoriously long winters, usually starting in November, and it's not un commen to get snow on May long weekend

  • We got so much snow in quebec, scientists say it wont melt till next year. luckily, we have 3 sesons instead of 2 here: winter, almost winter and moskitoe season.

Come live in quebec everyone, we have accents!

  • everyone has accents

  • actually, various parts of canada are said to have the most neutral english accents.

  • hahahaa! that's brilliant. in Ontario it's more like: winter, summer, extra summer, and semi winter.

  • Manitoba its: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Road Construction

  • Oh, I am from Manitoba originally...and you are so right! lol

  • Winter, almost winter and Mosquito season... so true! But Mosquito season only lasts two months :P.

  • BEST SKIT EVER! Oh my god, when I saw this on TV I was on the floor laughing...

  • Huh...maybe I shouldn't move to Canada. Not sure if I wanna live near the boiling frothing seas and hellfire storms. :D

  • canada rocks im canadian

  • ahahaha it's so Canadian

  • I personally think that Canuckistan humor is pretty funny. I loved watching "this hour has 22 minutes" when I had TV.

  • whats the weather like in each season in canada,i may be going to live there! any comments would be greatly appreciated, michelle.x

  • It is the end of March, and there is still snow on the ground in some places in Southern Ontario. Canuckistan has 3 season. Last winter, this winter, and next winter (with a smattering of mosquito season here and there).

  • so true, it's now... what april, and I'm looking out my window and seeing SNOW!!! I could understand that in like the fricken' Youcon but I'm pretty sure that the land mass called Canada has decided to pull a prank on it's inhabitants, and moved to fucking ANTARCTICA WITHOUT OUT OUR CONSENT!!!

  • Its May and there was 60cm (23 inches) of snow in Alberta in 24 Hours!!

  • wtf no, There are two Seasons: Winter and Almost Winter.

  • I stand corrected. You are right of course. Winter and almost winter. Bundle up, winter is on its way. BRRRRR

  • Depends where you are in Canada. In Vancouver it never gets too cold, whereas elsewhere in Canada it gets pretty cold in the winter - and winters can be long (like mid November to mid March).

Canada has glorious summers, though. I live in Montreal and this is the best place you can be in the summer, for weather & for beautiful women!

  • I think the N/A over Northern Ontario is by far my favourite!

  • Io isnt the icy moon

    Europa is...

Io is the insanely volcanic moon...

ah CBC... research and editing excellence.

  • Toronto isn't even the center of Canada and even less north america. Look at the youtube selection "ontario sucks". Classic !

  • Ontario sucks is from the Arrogant Worms ... Canadians. Nice language Canuck. Hope the weather is great in Canuckastan.

  • i live in ontario and u just shut up

  • OH, you live in Ontario, I thought you were Canadian. Do you live in Sarnia? How about London? Mississaua? Hamilton. Been to them all. Not a bad place to live. Ontario's motto is: "Well, at least we aren't Quebec"

  • toronto is where

  • toronto is in between major US cities like Rochester and Albany.

  • us spelt Mississauga wrong

  • Thank you for the correction. I will take note of that. I was in Brantford over the weekend. By the way, the US border nazi's really don't like to be joked with. DON'T ever tell them when they ask a question, "These are not the droids you are looking for" They get really pissed. OR maybe it was the waving of the hand when I said it. Anyway, they don't like Star Wars or maybe hands. I can't tell which it is.

  • Southern Ontario's all calm and classy. No wonder why Toronto's center of the universe.

  • Finally, a weather forecast with some honesty!

  • very true

  • not true

  • I missed this one, too.

  • lmao

  • ahahahaha so funny!

  • @,.@

  • Ha, you might have to button your mackinnaw..

  • LOL SO TRUE!

-198 ain't nothing! Bring it on!

  • Since everyone thinks of Canada as The Great White North, this is a hoot and playing right into that mindset.

  • Uh, did you not know that this was a show broadcast on CBC, in Canada, FOR Canadians??

    Take off you hoser...

  • Hahahaha!! pretty much.

  • LOL

  • Expect 10 to 15 centimetres of hellfire so grab yourself an umbrella on the way out the door this morning!

  • Like the claws of death, leaving everything as hard as tempered glass! or...The Earth to open up and swallow you all whole, like a humpback whale feasting on krill! GAWD CANADIAN PROGRAMMING ROCKS!! hahahahaha!!! LOL!!

  • ahhaha i remember watching this, i live in saskatchewan and it was actually pretty much -300! dang

  • Lookout grandpa! lol

  • haha..god damn this stuff is good !

  • love the 'Dress the way you want too be found by archeologists in the future'

  • look closely and you'll see it's ontario propaganda lol

  • grow a fuckin brain how is this Ontario propaganda, where not the ones who complain about the rest of canada

  • this is one of the best 22 minutes did! fantastic.

  • Wear a coat, you'll be fine
