I love Graham Norton's show because it has both Americans and British people. I don't know some of the British comedians but they are often pretty funny and get in good lines. I think it's funny when an American guest doesn't know what "dogging" is. Cher didn't. We don't use that term and I only knew from watching Clatterford. Norton made a joke about dogging, Cher didn't know what it was and Dawn French told her she'd explain it later. That was pretty funny.

Universities are huge, they take more people, a lot of people take out huge student loans to pay for school but then they major in something that won't get them a job. So they are stuck taking low paying jobs and still have a lot of debt. Even Masters degrees are more common than they used to be (and easier to earn). A lot of people get decent jobs just going to tech school without incurring as much debt.

@TheT33g What makes it worse is they are always running their mouths, they generally don't know what they are talking about, they have stupid opinions and thoughts about life, they rarely read and if they do it's always fucking Kerouac or Bukowski. I've heard a lot of them try to mention some existentialist writer (I'm still friends with my philosophy prof from undergrad) and it turns out they never read them. Or they pretend they read "Lord of the Rings" when really they just saw the movie.

@TheT33g In fairness, I have some friends that smoke pot almost daily, and they do fine. They go to work everyday, they do pretty well in life, even the ones that didn't go to college but I don't know how they do it. Pot feels like LSD to me, and I've had friends put me through "Pot College". I never build a resistance to it. I was always more into coke or X when I was younger. Now I rarely even drink. Once every six months or so.

It would never have occurred to me, and I certainly never heard an American say it before. On the flip side, British believe that Americans are all fat when in reality the crowds look the same in England as here. Look at half the guests in the red chair on Graham Norton's show!!!!

You see that they have no idea what is going on when the James Corden, Sarah Millican or even Graham Norton speak. I was not stereotyping on Americans in general, I was stereotyping on those in the video in which I commented on. And I have never, nor will ever meet you so I cannot comment on whether you understand the brilliant British humour apparent in this video.

@MissClaraLucy An actress or a singer may not have a comedic flare. They respond when they are being interviewed, but just can't compete with people that are comfortable joking around. They often come off flat on American shows as well. It just happens, people are different.
