about 7 years since i was sexually abused, and i am STILL affected by it. its hard to live with it and i am struggling with the idea that its not my fault and that i am a survivor, not a victim.

i recently had to report it to CPS, and the police. that was very hard, and they are closing the case because it has come down to a he said/ she said.

@kingsofleonwftw We should try and do what we can to stop all abuse. Songs merely draw attention to it, and it should be more highly publicised to try and put a stop to it; I can see your point on some of this, but it's awful to say that the children deserve it. Nobody ever deserves that kind of treatment. I don't think you would say the same thing if you had grown up believing you are worthless. And people DO care about child abuse - most of the world's population, apart from you, obviously!

I'd say AT LEAST half. Most abuse cases are physical but some (like my own) are mental/ emotional abuse. You get just as screwed up by it as physical abuse, People just don't see it. I didn't even see it, I thought my life was normal, until I moved away from there. It is truley sad that this happens at all. I just can't explain how I feel.
