Josef had a level of complexity that Stephanie Meyers couldn't scratch the surface of with ten times as many vampires. He loved being a vampire, but he cared about Mick enough to have the decency to say, "forgive me", even though it was Mick's decision to turn back.

I remember this scene!! This is the one that made me cry a little. Poor Mick and poor Josef. Mick had to give up being human, and Josef had to try and turn Mick knowing he might lose his best friend. How sad. :( But I'm glad it ended well. ^^; It was like the best of the series!! This and Fever were my favorite Moonlight episodes. ^^ I'm so glad you put this up! Thank you!! :D

It's called "Saving Josh" and isn't available for purchase since it's score. :( Hopefully Moonlight will release a soundtrack one day because this piece is so beautiful. It was originally used in Love Lasts Forever.

Thanks for posting this. Very powerful scene; Mick had wanted to be human again and succeeded, only to have to give up mortality in order to save "his Beth". Josef was so gentle as he laid Mick down after draining him and the single tear on Mick's face was so telling and perfect.
