Perhaps the increase has more to do with the fact that more people are seeking help because mental illness and therapy is becoming less taboo. No system is perfect and certainly we don't know or understand everything with how our brains work. But to completely disregard it is dangerous. No one should blindly follow anything.

Psychiatry an industry of death is an excellent documentary that exposes the idiocy of psychiatry and psychiatric drugs. There isn't even a test to determine a chemical imbalance. Most of it is BS. The small percentage that do get helped is because of trial and error. The patient is almost always a guinea pig to be experimented on with toxic medications.

Psychologists, counselors, and social workers are so full of crap and arrogance these days. They have no ability to understand human suffering or human problems. They see people as things to be controlled. They have no empathy or professional skills. This problem goes back to the corruption that are at universities and colleges. They just don't care. The mental health field is cold, ruthless, and uncaring. They live off of the pain of their clients and make money doing it. It is horrible.

Gay men in the UK were forced to undergo 'Aversion Therapy' which includes being injected with drugs that cause extreme nausea, electrocution etc.

This went on until the late 1970's in my country. No state Psychiatrist (doctor) was ever charged and naturally many gay men were traumatised and killed themselves over this torture and humiliation.

Homosexuality was only taken out of the DSM (Bible for Psychiatrists), in the 1970's as a mental health disorder!

I am battling mental illnes (( have been for the past 14 years now)) i have been taking medication, and have recieved therapy, but so far, none has proved effective.. :( (( side note, i am only 26 years of age,, )) hope you will get to make some changes in them mental institutions where you live, i doubt it will happen where i live..

I also have been an insurance scammed consumer of these services for most of my life since age 8.

I also believe I was selected by my school teachers as ADD and so forth in a program sold to them as a social tool.

Yes. The message is the important thing. Let's vote to make psychiatric health care consensual only in accordance with the Nuremberg laws. The work of Joseph Mengela is a clear example why treating people without consent is wrong. António Egas Moniz was awarded a Nobel prize for the unconsensual lobotomy. Perfectly healthy and lawful people are being tortured in the "hospitals". It's time to get smart and have some love and compassion for the nonviolent lawful victims locked in psych prisons.
