every generation before me has driven a chevy last year when i turned 15 there was no other decision but to restore an old chevy and no im working on my 86 k5 blazer and a 69 truck on an 79 frame.
ive had 4 chevys in my life and all were 70s or 80sexcept for my new one which is an 08. recently, my boss backed over it with the cat 980 loader at work and did major damage. at the end of the day, he told me hed give me a ride home. and that he would pay for it. i walked over and jumped in and turned the key. she fired right up and i drove her all the way home. the frame has been realigned and a new bed and axle were put on. but she got me home that day. crab walkin. but home. i love my chevy
i got a chevy 4x4 shortbed with a 350 5speed had that truck since i was 16 my first truck its got over 350000 miles on it all original still rollin around to this day its hard to beat a chevy

I work at a MOPAR dealership, an I tell you what, HEMIs are a JOKE! Sure they are powerful, but they have shitty piston and rod designs that make noise when the engines are cold. And, the engine compartment is very tight, whereas the 09 Chevy's compartments are very easy to work in. I see way more Chevy trucks on the road than Rams or Ford trucks, and I am proud to drive an old c1500.

@SuperYamahapower show me your proof. ive seen plenty of 2.8 sixbangers go just as long as the v8s. and i can say i dont care for ford or dodge because ive had both and they are nightmares to work on. chevrolet is more reliable, and easier to work on, when minor problems do arise. there are no major problems with older GMs. Even new GMs are still pushrod motors and they are outstanding in their performance.

@kargmeister1337 my 93 chevy was not plastic if you look at the poor engine that plagued the late 90s model trucks 4.8 when there are 14 different models of the same engine that no intake could be interchanged then. as a mechanic ill take a older chevy any day loved my 93 extended cab and looked at an extended cab ford i don't think 4 inches is extended and for gas milage i got up to 33 miles highway with a 305 V8 when i had the 91 ford 300 6cyl i got 12 miles per gallon!!!

I was in 2 accidents, the other peoples faults, i had to steel wool my bumpers thats it. so i feel your pain, we're a dying breed.

i have a 97 dark green reglar cad short bed stepside chevy z71 1500 and she only has the 305 :( in her bud she still runs like brand new and has 230,000 miles on all orginal parts trannies orginal and motor is orginal and i run the piss out of it. the gas pedal is buried everywhere i go and the tranny dont slip and the motor dont knock,chatter, or smoke and uses no oil yeah whata u ford fucks got to say about that...... yeah CHEVY all the way its truely is and american revolution

92 chevy k1500 ext z71 over 305 thousand miles and i still have the nice idle and strength that it had the day off the lot 350 5.7 vortec i love this truck and i will never give it up3 wrecks in total and ive only had to put a roll pan because the bumper brackets messed up in the last rear end i was in chevy is the best

Ya gypman! My 92 has 230,000 miles and had 100,000 when I bought it she's a beaut!!! It's got 3" body and 3" suspension lift runnin 35's and I've never rebuilt it. It's the stock 350 also. I've changed the waterpump thermostat and the altenator. Blew up the rear end muddin but that just shows she's not a pavement beater. :)

Our 2004 Dodge Neon has went out a couple times in the last few months.....Guess what was there for us to give us a ride to get the parts to fix the Neon?? Our 1992 Chevy Truck. Before we had the Neon, we had a 1979 Chevy Malibu. That car NEVER gave us any trouble. Long Live Chevy!

i love chevys.my dads old 1992 chevy silverado 1500 350 got to 480,000 thousand kms and with all those kms it still towed a 4000 lb boat and another another 1000 lbs in the box! with no problems what so ever.it was the greatest truck we have ever owned.

i fucking hate teh kids in my auto class they all think that dodge and ford are the best things in the world i am one of the only 2 ppl who drive chevy trucks and both of them are old mines an 85 chevy c20 and the other guys is somewhere around the same body style but its lifted and has a lot more rust

@funnyjewishrapper yeah i know the feeling, im the only kid that drives a chevy truck, mines a 1/2 ton 4x4 86. its a strait wrk truck. it has pulled 2 tow trucks out,. and a car at the same time. it has pulled its weight, it has 386,000 miles on it and still runs better than any other car there. always starts for me, never dies. I was in 2 accidents, the other peoples faults, i had to steel wool my bumpers thats it. so i feel your pain, we're a dying breed.

coming from a ford guy, ive owned a bronco and f150 i gotta admit chevy is a damn good truck. their engines put out way more power than a factory ford. only thing i dislike about chevy is their IFS 4x4. thats honestly the only reason i drive a ford. the TTB on a ford is just stronger. unless i ever find a chevy with a solid axle and 5.7liter v8 ill probably stick to ford. but i would never bash a chevy

i have a 97 dark green reglar cad short bed stepside chevy z71 1500 and she only has the 305 :( in her bud she still runs like brand new and has 230,000 miles on all orginal parts trannies orginal and motor is orginal and i run the piss out of it. the gas pedal is buried everywhere i go and the tranny dont slip and the motor dont knock,chatter, or smoke and uses no oil yeah whata u ford fucks got to say about that...... yeah CHEVY all the way its truely is and american revolution

92 chevy k1500 ext z71 over 305 thousand miles and i still have the nice idle and strength that it had the day off the lot 350 5.7 vortec i love this truck and i will never give it up3 wrecks in total and ive only had to put a roll pan because the bumper brackets messed up in the last rear end i was in chevy is the best

Ya gypman! My 92 has 230,000 miles and had 100,000 when I bought it she's a beaut!!! It's got 3" body and 3" suspension lift runnin 35's and I've never rebuilt it. It's the stock 350 also. I've changed the waterpump thermostat and the altenator. Blew up the rear end muddin but that just shows she's not a pavement beater. :)
