  • What is Bonnett doing? Unbelievable. The nerve on this guy to go on stage with a bunch of mediocre players trying to sing one of the best rock songs ever. He never had any feeling in his voice, period. Not in his younger days and not now. He just has this screaming style and I am surprised he hasn't blown a blood vessel in his brain. He looks like he's in pain all the time and if it weren't for the screams there would be nothing coming out of his mouth. Dio has always been #1

  • Anyone who wants to see the true talent of Graham Bonnet just needs to look up Love's No Friend and then when you're done listening to the master do that at his age you can look up The Marbles Only One Woman... Yes DIO was a great singer but he wasn't a Graham Bonnet by a long shot. Like a guy said below, Dio would shit his pants trying to sing Bonnet's songs.

  • полный отстой! верните людям деньги за концерт!

  • I love all the people here dissing Bonnet because they're Dio fans. Bonnet isn't trying to be RJD, he's doing the song with his voice and in his style and it is very good. Of course he doesn't sound like Dio, because their voices are different. RJD wouldn't have sounded as good as Bonnet if he were trying to sing Hiroshima Mon Amour either... but he would have done it in his own and unique way and I am sure it would've been decent, as is this!

  • @samhain1967 This song is sacred ground for every musiscian, you simply don't cover it. And you miss one small detail. Bonnet can't sing Hiroshima Mon Amour himself.

  • @msklurgh are you stoned or something? Who decided it was sacred ground and couldn't be covered? You? lmao grow the fuck up.

  • @samhain1967 I said every musician, and you should know what im talking about. Dio: "This song you will never ever hear if we don't play it for you, Stargazer this one!" This vid: JTrwo2F0amU&feature=related And Dio have all the rights to say so, to prevent this masterpieci from be covered by guys like Graham Bonnet.

  • @msklurgh You sir are a moron and make no sense. First off this is from a tribute to Rainbow and Graham Bonnet has every right to sing it since he was in fact a singer in Rainbow. It's the same as Bruce Dickinson singing Paul Dianno's songs for instance. Secondly, no song is "sacred ground", any song can be covered by anybody. I love RJD but I also love Bonnet and respect them both, and in my opinion this cover just adds to Bonnet's already illustrious career.

  • @samhain1967 Bruce Dickinson can cover Diannos songs yeah, but Dianno can't cover Bruces songs. Big difference, because Bruce was a much bigger singer(note: DOESN'T MEAN BETTER SINGER, but it was a bigger era). It's like Paul Rodgers covering Mercury's Bohemian Rhapsody. You simply don't do it, and especially if you know you can't sing it. I know you get my point, and I get yours but im holding my opinion.

  • @msklurgh rofl well Rainbows biggest hit was Since You've Been Gone which was done during Bonnet's era so your analogy about Bruce and Paul sucks balls. And Paul Rodgers is one of rocks greatest voices and the members of Queen thought him good enough and so do I. In fact I like the way Paul sings I Want It All better than Freddy. Now back to Bonnet... So everything you say is based on your opinion and whose tone you happen to like better and has nothing to do with who was the better singer.

  • @samhain1967 FACT: Dio IS/WAS the best singer in the world without any challange. OPINION: If you even try cover this song, failure is a fact.

  • @msklurgh rofl.. FACT msklurgh knows zero about singing or music in general and just has a RJD fetish. OPINION: He spends his evenings listening to Mob Rules and wanking over RJD photos.

  • @samhain1967 I am a singer in a band, I write songs, I play concerts. Who knows shit about music? All you come with is "moron", "stoned", "make no sense", "wanking to dio", "RJD fetish". I'm not on here to insult anyone. I'm sorry if you feel that you have to defend yourself, and go to personal attacks. Listen to this, and come up with an equal video of RJD: RfCsm7stQrY If you find a vid where Dio sucks as much I will change my point.

  • @msklurgh I've been a singer for nearly 30 years in all kinds of bands over the years and have been trained as well and that's why I know that Bonnet is a better singer than RJD. You may like the way RJD sings better, you may like his tone better but as for pure skill Bonnet destroys Dio plain and simple. As for the video you posted, I think it is wonderful. But lets do this instead you show me a song where DIO sings like NnVx-KSb7JU or tC1auBpqZ4E. Dio dreamed of being able to sing like that.

  • @samhain1967 Graham is great there, sure, but he CAN'T sing Dio's songs. And if you think the video I posted was wonderful, I don't know how come you have been singing for 30 years. He don't hit one single note in that vid, so.. WTF. Dio didn't dreamed of singing like that. If he would've dreamed of it, he would've done it. Listen to this: d_3ugKiieJg and if you still think Graham is a better singer than Dio you are lost and I wont be able to save you.

  • @msklurgh man you have no clue. The day you can produce me a video or song of Dio singing unplugged, un-mixed, or acapella to match anything like the video I provided you of Love's No Friend then we can talk. The best example I have is of Dio in the original Hear n Aid - Stars video UFEzoXjRE0 at 4:27... now compare that to NnVx-KSb7JU... Of course the magic of the studio helped Dio out a bit in the end but really there is no contest Bonnet destroys Dio in every way.

  • @samhain1967 I see your point with the unplugged thing, but I don't see that it makes Graham a better singer than Dio. Dio is in a league of his own, and as a musicsian you should know that. Ask Graham himself, he would've said he had nothing to put up against Dio. If you don't see it, I'm sorry for you. Bye bye, this wastes my time and I'm not doing it for fun.

  • @msklurgh Yeah it is a waste of time because you know fuck all about singing or music. Dio had a unique style sure but as far as pure singing talent goes he can't touch Bonnet. Dio didn't have the God given pipes that Bonnet has... he didn't have the range and, he wasn't as educated as a singer as Bonnet either. The 2 videos comparing them side by side without the help of mixing proves my point and you lose, face it. :D

  • @samhain1967 Mixing, what are you talking about? It's live, and NO singer in the world are able to match Dio, what so ever. You can stick to think Bonnet is better than Dio, but you are wrong. I know you ar wrong, Bonnet knows you are wrong, everyone do. My father has the range of Bonnet, and he have sung in different coverbands since early 80s. You are talking about God.given pipes, Dio has got'em. Now I'm finnish, if you stop pushing me. You are annoying.

  • @msklurgh lmao there are tons of singers that blow Dio's doors off. The one that comes to mind the most is Eric Adams who destroys every other metal vocalist period. In that video I provided every other singer there was better than Dio except for Don Fail Dokken... Dave Meniketti, Kevin Dubrow, Geoff Tate.. they all destroy Dio.

  • @msklurgh Oh and I said WITHOUT the help of mixing... what don't you understand about that?

  • @samhain1967 English is not my first language, and for me is live=not mixed. You mean the difference between unplugged and plugged i suppose, but that doesn't sho anything. You don't sing better because you are plugged in. Idc your point. Your voice is mixed in the studio and on tape, not live.

  • @beroth77 If Dio tried to sing Bonnet's material, he'd probably shit himself. Let's hear Dio sing "Hiroshima Mon Amour". He wouldn't be able to do it.

  • THERE;S ONLY ONE-RONNIE JAMES DIO-THE KING

  • Comment removed

  • Cmon he was 61 when he sang this. And it is EXTREMELY hard song to sing. So have some respect. Oh yes and try to sing it at least sich as this.

  • He's a good vocalist, this is just not a song for him. Weird h did it

  • its laughable how blackmore took this guy as on dios replacement!.. but then blackmore was all about himself, he didnt like the fact dio was an excelent vocalist and song writer, so having bonnet who couldnt carry a melody in a bucket or write a song to save his life is understandable!! this is NO tribute its just terrible..

  • ooooffffa... not good..bring it down an octave and perhaps..this is a bad cover..no tribute

  • Comment removed

  • this guy sucks really bad.

  • What the hell

  • Nigdy nie będzie kogoś kto zastąpi nam Ronnie-go James-a Dio

  • gott, was eine demontage... graham, graham, lass mal gut sein. Das ist ja fast schon realsatire. kennt jemand den mambo-kurt? ... (*leise vor sich hin weinend und kopfschüttelnd das zimmer verlassend*)... danny busch

  • @diechefs2008 absolut klasse kommentar! graham go home!!!

  • Ужас!!!!!! Зачем так позориться?

  • this fking blows.

  • I've seen Graham nail this song recently... !n this version it sounds like he has a sore throat...

  • mann, der kackt ja mal sowas von ab...

    R.I.P. RJD :(

  • well is only one i mean dio, bonnet is a good one buet dio is the best, thank you

  • wow Bonnet butchered this tune... out of tune and sounds like shit... Not even close to the King... DIO.

  • I really love Bonnett's vocals on Rainbow's "Down to Earth" album, especially the song "Eyes of the world".. but even though this is bad quality sound, and live.. he is seriously butchering this song :(

  • Only Dio could do it right. No one else can copy it.

  • Bonnet is a Dio Fan

  • I can't take any more of this - SHOCKING!!!

  • Why does Graham Bonnet insist on this preppy douchenozzel look?

  • Cocaine's a hell of a drug.. LOL

  • Oh dear......

  • OMG........Butchered!

  • oh dear

  • Dio was by for the best Rainbow singer, but I would take Bonnet of Turner any day, he has allot of power behind vocals, and I think Down to Earth was a good Rainbow album...

  • Dickheads.

Easy to spread shit from your PC.

Graham Bonnet deserves respect for his contributions on Rainbow and Michael Shenker Group recordings from the early eighties.

So he has a bad day. You try singing this stuff !!!

  • @fmch42 @fmch42 And he must be respected as well for his experience with Alcatrazz, great (and very underrated) band of Yngwie. He's a good singer, however bad his version of Stargazer may be.

  • @fmch42 Agreed this is brutally hard to sing in any key but you can always expect the fans of any original to trash the cover version, granted Bonnets own Rainbow tunes fit his style however he was out of his league with this one

  • fucking tragic....

  • Take a big breath you asshole and go drown yourself you miserable,non-career shitt.

  • it is terrible ------------- terrible misfortune

  • Ya... WTF? Fucking fake

  • WTF?

  • WTF is that ? and Why put the name Rainbow in title ? and WHAT DA HELL IS THIS SINGER ? He looks like Marie Fredriksson of Roxette.... lol...

  • You don't know much about Rainbow uh?

  • I know Rainbow of Ronnie James Dio... only.. and tks god for that...

  • Fucking travesty indeed! Blackmore should be ashamed of himself hiring this TERRIBLE singer over Dio.

  • I just threw up in my mouth a little. A fucking travesty indeed.

  • what the fuck is this travesty.

  • is Graham Bonnet

  • fuck you !!

that's the prove that you don't know anything about music

  • all respect to ritchie blackmore but he should have quit looking for singers after dio left rainbow the band was never the same afterward.

  • I agree with you, there is a funny story behind this album. Richie came to Dio and said i want the next album to be all songs of love, and Dio said 'Do i look like i write fucking love songs?' Then he wrote this. Awesome.

  • who the hell is graham bonnet l never heard of the dick. Not even close to doing the song justice.

  • graham bonnet did "all night long" and "since you been gone"

  • hey lengse17, who gave you the right to call them bitches??? just enjoy the song, which is wonderful:P

  • What's with the bitches in the background? They are an abomination to this song.

  • Bonnet's voice through out his career has proven to be more versatile.Like Dio singing Blues. He would sound very wierd.Bonnet on the other hand would probably sound good.Dio's is unique, but restricted by just mainly doing a metal style.Bonnet is more versatile, and unique all around. So yeah I think Bonnet sound's good doing this, and is more unique all around.

  • Dio is the voice of metal, Bonnet is just a decent cabaret singer. Theres absolutely no comparison in singing ability, Dio is vastly superior.

Plus Bonnet has written nothing of note whereas Dio has written superb songs for Rainbow, Black Sabbath and his own band.

  • Comment removed

  • @cloudvol7 bonnet more versatile than dio?have you any idea for how many different stiles.since the 50'sMan,if Dio sung the blues?//if?//Dio sung blues fot years before rainbow mainly in a band called ELF.witch is is simply one of the most perfect bands ever and dio vocals fits absoluttely gorgeous.for what you said i assume you never heard ELF take sometime to know this band and see dio doing an brilliant work in blues/blues rock.search for ELF'S videos on youtube and prepare to change yourmind

  • Bonnit is awful here..sorry..hes straining..

  • I love Graham Bonnet vocals. This is a very poor audio recording as well.

Ronnie James Dio is the king of rock n roll though. The devine and melodic voice of RJD nobody could reach even Graham.

Long Live Ronnie James Dio mates.

  • Hey, cloudvol7, you seem to like Bonnet's singing. Yes he is a very good singer ,deserves a lot of respect, and yes this is a poor recording but stargazer is a song which needs POWER and Dio has this special power in his voice that makes him most suitable for this song. I don't try to compare theese two singers , there's no point, i just think that Dio sings Stargazer way better than Bonnet. And one more thing, can you imagine Bonnet singing

'' man on the silver mountain''? I can't.

  • How can people compare Dio's rich grindy weak vocal's to Graham bonnet's raw power that even makes the music sound weak, because that's just how awesome is vocal's are .Dio's voice is unique, but very easy for people to copy also unlike Graham bonnet's.Plus this is a very poor recording.

  • now your just talking complete shite.

  • People just like Dio better, because he originally sing's this song. But to be honest I've alway's thought that Bonnet's a much better singer, and this is a better rendition then alot of Dio's live version's.Plus Graham is way capable of singing this type of stuff. The Impelliteri system x is quite heavy, and the song Leviathan is very good, also from Impelliteri,so check them out.Because to me Graham's powerful voice destroy's Dio's weak grindy vocal's.That everybody brags are so great...

  • Dio has a more rich voice than Bonnet and has a way higher vocal range than Bonnet.

  • it sounds different becouse is another singer, another voice, another style, another person =S

come on!! there is rightnow a RONNIE DIO, why graham would sing like dio or sound like him =S.

Is there some singer who can sing all night long as bonnet do??? I can bet that there is no one cause that sound is so hard to do. Even the great JLT couldnt do.

Graham is unique as dio is.

  • RETIRE. NOB.

  • Sounds like an old jewish guy yelling.

  • OMG. Just scary.

  • It's a poor quality audio. Even still, Bonnet must have hated trying to follow Dio. Especially, a song like this.

Yes there is only 1 Dio.

  • @smackroscoe You and the people who agreed with you must be musically retarded. I am certain no one forced Bonnet to perform this song so why would he hate it?

  • Graham Bonnet. amazing..Great band too.. who is it.??

  • shows how hard it is to sing a dio classic. poor attempt.

  • Sorry, but there's only one Dio

  • @sametal847 you´re in reason...like dio nobody.......

  • @sametal847 Only ONE Graham Bonnet as well!!!!

  • yes...is Bonnet...but...sorry...he kill this great song...

Prova Marbles "Only One Woman" o guarda sul mio profilo il video di "it's All over Now baby Blue"

  • This is Bonnet and this is great!

  • q onda es una banda tributo????

    jajajjajajajjaja
