If people can only be humble and fear the Lord with the power of the Holy Spirit then how do you render the whole OT? The Spirit came upon certain people and not everyone right? And does the Spirit convict everyone and is unable to convince some people to repent?
to theruteger: I agree with you about Calvinists using and abusing the word "Pelagian." 90% of them don't even know what it means. They usually use it when they don't have a biblical response to their opponent's arguments.
to prchdaword: I'm still waiting for you to contact me on Paltalk to discuss the topic of our debate. Your buddy Oct31st1517 is a Paltalk member and should be able to show you how to join. Since he is obviously afraid to debate me on the TULIP, I'm sure he would be happy to help you out since that would take the heat off of him. And as far as your knowledge of the original language is concerned, don't make me laugh.
to prchdaword: And by the way, how I've been asserting your position is an absolute mystery to me. To be honest, as far as I'm concerned I'm kind of surprised that you haven't disappeared off the face of the earth by now. My last 2 youtube videos pretty much showed everyone that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. You must be a glutton for punishment. LOL
to prchdaword: One last piece of advice: if you make silly and idiotic comments that are not scriptural, you're going to be taken to task. Either by me or someone else. My last 2 videos should provide a lesson to you to think before you write things downs and send them over. I'm sure there are lots of naive people on youtube who believe anything they read. All I did was make them aware that you're one of those guys who would say anything to sell a product that doesn't work, i.e. Calvinism.
Mr. R, I would be more than happy to take you to task in a debate to actually have a chance to get into the original languages and spend time actually working through a text and not looking for "key words" thinking that they prove your position. Newsflash: Just because the word "choose" appears in Scriptures doesn't mean the metaphysical position known as Libertarian Free Will is true! You haven't refuted my position at all Mr.R, in fact, you even almost asserted it!
to prchdaword: thatta boy, you're learning! That's why God Himself asked Pharaoh in Ex 10:3 why he "REFUSED" to humble himself. You see, God's prevenient grace enables everyone to be humble. Some choose and some resist. :)
to prchdaword: After the severe public correction you've just been given, I highly recommend that you take a sabbatical, study the Scriptures independent of the Westminster Confession and Calvin's Institutes; and then get back to me.
Are you serious? You really think you're that good, huh? Do you realize how many contradictions of your own position that you have just presented? "Well only God's grace can make us humble..." Gee...not all are humble. Therefore, not all get God's humbling grace! Unless you are going to argue - and I think you would - that God's humbling grace is not effective UNLESS man first chooses to accept God's humbling grace. And so God's grace is this thing just out there waiting for our free will...
So much irrelevant response...we agree that to break one is to break them all...and we are born "law breakers" by nature already through our "Adamic nature". Seriously, irrelevant.
And there we go with the caricature again..."They don't even believe in choice"...can you demonstrate from any Calvinist authors those who have denied that humans do not make real choices? Nope! Why? Because you are PURPOSEFULLY choosing (no pun intended) to misrepresent Calvinism...yes, to LIE. =/
But if that is the case, doesn't that mean that the "natural man" CANNOT recieve the "spiritual wisdom" of the Gospel UNTIL he is no longer "carnal" but has become "spiritual"? Isn't that EXACTLY what I am arguing for? Come on people!!!
If Jesus "lighted every man when he came" then how could Paul still say with the Psalms "There is no one who understands..."?? Rom3:10-12
This is hilarious!! How come you change from "inability" to "totally corrupted" and then argue for "inability"?
If the only way a person can "humble" themselves, etc...is based on God's grace, then wouldn't you have to admit that God doesn't give that grace to all men since not all men humble themselves? Or would you argue that the Spirit give that convicting ministry to all but it He is not effective in leading them to humility?
"We cannot recieve Godly wisdom until we confess..." So that means, until then - even in your position - one is not born again UNTIL they "confess" correct?
If people can only be humble and fear the Lord with the power of the Holy Spirit then how do you render the whole OT? The Spirit came upon certain people and not everyone right? And does the Spirit convict everyone and is unable to convince some people to repent?

John 1:9: Great verse! Great series of debunking that sad, sad doctrine of Calvinism.
