@963remus No CS 1.6 has superior gameplay and even most source players will agree with that. In source, the hitboxes trail behind the player, there are many useless barrels that were only inserted to show off the source engine but they really just get in the way, and the grenade physics are pretty aweful. That and the recoil has been reduced greatly in source, making it less competative and more easily accessable. Not a bad game, but it could've been done much better...

css' graphics are much more up-to-date, and that's pretty much what the people going "source > 1.6" are using as an argument. BUT, is a game only judgable by graphics? If you're playing at a pub level, you won't see as much competition and would therefore judge 1.6 as an inferior version of source. If you start playing competitively/attempting scrims, you would most likely see much more in 1.6's gameplay when compared to source.
