  • It's so ridiculous to hear stupid Broncos fans say stupid shit like, "Denard was only good against cupcake teams!". Really? YOU GUYS ARE THE CUPCAKE TEAMS! What is up with all these terrible schools with historically terrible football teams talking shit about Michigan? They're just embarrassing themselves.

  • possibly the most efficient half of Michigan football ever

  • the intro to this game was amazing. it was such an emotional win

  • Mesko falling gets me every time lol. God i miss him already

  • ya everyone who clowns Michigan is literally the most ignorent person and knows nothing about college football, from when rich rod was coaching d2 to wvu now to michigan he has a proven track record and i guarantee he will bring numerous big ten titles to big blue. GO BLUE FUCK THE SUCKEYES

  • Denard is a very good athlete but if he were to work on his throwing, he'd be the most dangerous player in college football. Speed/throwing = Heisman =P. No seriously thou i do think they should use him more by putting him reciever but i perfer him at QB. We all know he can run but if he improved his throwing this offseason he and Tate will be an unstoppable force. GO BLUE!!!!!

  • Why isn't Denard Robinson Michigan's running back? They just use him in the Wild Cat anyway, utilize his speed and elusiveness.

  • It lead's it to Sheridan to cause the only turnover. that stupid fuck

  • @MGBLUE991 dude cmon, u go play quarterback then.

  • This game showed what Kevin Koger can be, hopefully he starts to put it together next year.

  • tate forcier has great talent and he can be a great QB if he works as hard as he said he would after the OSU loss this team can and will get back to the top GO BLUE

  • the crowd seems so much louder! cant wait till next season when were winning and it will be even louder!!

  • Says the funniest person in the room.

    Go Blue!

  • I agree... stfu RR is a great coach and the more positive michigan fans are the better off he'll be in recruiting / on the field.

    GO BLUE!

  • michigan ROX

  • Everyone should shut the fuck up about Rich Rod. He's a great coach. Be patient and I can assure you, There will be a Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl in our future while he's around.

  • @MrMichigan95 Ya, about that...

  • @MrMichigan95

    Rich Rod Era Highlights:

    No Rose Bowls

    No Big Ten Titles

Wrecked one of the best defenses in the nation

    Lost to Toledo

Rich Rod sucks. If you can take the winningest college football of all time and drive it into the ground, you suck.

  • sheridan deserves no chance to play? i would have fealt more confident with him being the qb than denard robinson...sheridan can throw atleast a little...you cant put last years horrors all on him and threet...the team just stunk. period.

  • be glad when michigan come back shut them espn fucks up

  • At Glenville State, RR took over a team that was so bad, it had been shut out 8 times the previous year, and had only 35 players total on the team (5 of which had NEVER played football before college). 3 years later he ran off 5 straight conference titles and had the top offense in the league every single season.

You don't luck into that kind of turnaround, period. He's a good coach.

  • i love the wolverines theyll be back

  • you guys just watch, in 2-3 years we will be a solid team, with at least 10 wins.our D will step up in the next few years, it definately will hold us back but will be decent. our offense is going to be simply amazing. Michigan Wolverines 2012 = 10-2 post season.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, but we have a lot of good young guys. if our defense stays the same then we will suck. but our offense will definitely be solid by then.

  • Comment removed

  • ok, you obviously want to have sex with brian kelly, i get it! marks my words man. 2012 Michigan football 10-2 postseason.

  • Actually, he won 2 conference titles before White and Slaton got there.

    Nice try, though.

And the reason they lost to Pitt is because they missed 2 field goals and had several fumbles. I suppose missed field goals and fumbles are the coaches fault, right? They lost by 4. If they had hit those field goals, they win the game.

  • @mikerobinsonn

You are so dumb. Roy Roundtree stepped up in the last games he started. He averaged 7.5 catches a game, 97.5 yards a game and had three touchdowns. Thats in 4 games. Also our offense was second in rushing in the big ten and 1 in ppg so get your facts straight you dumbass.

  • Please beat Ohio state so Iowa can can go to the Rose bowl.

  • Our defense can't stop anybody. So I wouldn't count on it.

  • :O your against our team! traitor! Just kidding, but seriously, you have to have some faith in michigan, if the Defense players just said "oh our defense sucks don't count on us to stop their TD or anything" then michigan would be like last year, Unranked

  • exactly, Michigan will be very respectable in 2 years, just watch.

  • @cubbs357 Hmm, should probably go ask in a Penn State game thread.

  • @BrandonMCza Ohio state will lose to Michigan this year.

  • ive seen it a hundred times!

  • The begging of one of the biggest turnarounds in football.

  • so hows that workin out for ya?

  • the begginning of michigan's rise back to the top GO BLUE!!!

  • the beginning of....

    ...

    ...

    another coaching search

  • Just wait. The tide will turn.

  • lmao ok

  • Comment removed

  • If you honestly believe that, then you haven't followed any of his career from before he got to Michigan.

  • lol to tell you the truth i've changed my mind since, i think he needs another 2 years, but i dont think hes a 'great coach' by any means as of yet, i just think he hasn't gotten a solid chance.

  • I can live with that stance. Mainly because I agree with most of it.

  • only problem i had with this game was the decision to put Sheridan in.....just let him hold the clipboard from now on.

  • Did he even see the field against Eastern? I don't remember him taking any snaps. Even when Forcier had to sit out for a bit.

  • um he had 2 rushing 2 tds and threw 2 INTs. so yes

  • Not against Eastern he didn't. Which is what I was talking about. He hasn't seen the field since the Western game.

  • That's the way it should be. Sheridan deserves no time on the field unless Tate and DRON hapenned to get injured, which I highly doubt both will be injured at the same time.

    Go Blue!

  • We should move denard robinson to WR forcier needs to be in at QB ever play DRON is a great athlete he faster than everyone let him catch some passes and return punts that way both of em can play the whole game

  • Why? Tate has shown that he can be hurt already. If he goes down, you don't want sheridan in do ya? Maybe in a couple years we'll move him but for now Denard needs to stay at quarterback.

    Go Blue!

  • maizenblue44.... I had to laugh. I thought EXACTLY the same thing when I heard them announce Sheridan was entering the game. And what a contrast there was - IMMEDIATELY. It was as if all of the momentum and energy was SUCKED from the entire stadium.

I'm sorry, Sheridan. There is NO room on this team for you. No way.

  • Forcier = Tom Brady Jr.

  • Yea, I'm going to say and that clausen is better than hiller, but it still doesn't change that we won!

    Go Blue!

  • Yeah but until they are reprogrammed and trained to think pro ball they are unconvincing don't you think?. At least 12 year old have an excuse to look unproffessionally good.

  • Forcier = Tom Brady Jr.

  • 2 completely different types of quarterbacks... no comparison other than skin color and alma mater

  • Who gives afuck? Watching any collegiate level is like watching little league when you compare it against the professionals. Little league at best.

  • rr, where do you think the pofessionals come from? By the way, have you gotten any of my replies? I think you have me blocked...

  • Little league at best? That's what makes it great...college teams are more innovative, more passionate, and take bigger risks than pro players. College games are far more fiery and exciting due to the variety and tension, IMO.

  • WolverineHistorian: I'm amazed (no pun) again and again how you get these completed. Well done! GO BLUE!

  • SOMEONE UPLOAD THE ND HIGHLIGHTS

so we can smack the haters in the face;]

    GO BLUE

  • The man's scrambling ability is sick, maturity for his age i rediculously good, and he's got the program going in the right direction!

    Go Blue!

  • You can't teach the ice that runs through Forciers veins. I actually believe him when he said he wasn't nervous leading that game winning drive. There are quarterbacks out there more talented and way more experienced then Forcier, but those ice veins he has are just something you can't even quantify. He's a brewing All American.

    Go Blue!

  • Agreed. He never looks nervous; when he messes up (not often), he gets visibly frustrated with himself, but he's like Bjorn Borg and plays every point of the game like the score is 0-0. I wanted to see Robinson a little more in this game, but I'll assume Rich Rod knows a little more than me.

By the way, was that Brandon Minor or Anthony Thomas out there? I can't even count how many Irish he barreled over.

  • Robinson may not be as great of a passer as Tate, but to say he is "no threatt to pass" is a stretch. His arm wasn't bad against Western. He needs to be developed, but he's more talented than Pat White (as both a runner and a passer) was coming out of high school

Robinson will be used a lot like Wildcat players in the NFL. He can pass or run, but putting him in the gun will scare the bejesus out of d-coordinators.

  • Also, Robinson has only had about a month total of practice so hes still learning the entire offense and will only get better at passing as time goes on, but for now, Forcier is obviously the guy.

    Go Blue!

  • long time no see. (:

But anyways, I'm not saying robinson is no threat to pass because he's not a talented passer. Im saying he's no threat to pass cause all he's doing right now is taking a direct snap and running with it. I'm fine with Robinson coming in as a wildcat QB, but in order for him to be a threat, Michigan needs to run more zone reads, speed option, triple option, and bootleg passes with Robinson. Otherwise teams will just stuff the box with 9 defenders and hold him to two yards

  • Great win by the Wolverines today. Forcier is something else.

    Go Blue!

  • Thanks man! Go Blue!

  • Shoelace!

  • nevada does not have NFL caliber DE's

the best part of their team might be their DE's Chaisson and Graham. and some of the teams they play against make them look like they could play in the NFL, but they wont last.

Brandon Grahm and the rest of Michigan's Dline arent your normal line. they are powerful and more than anything, they are agile, and quick. Thats something Notre Dame will struggle against.

  • thats just what i've heard. isnt michigans dline very young?

  • Michigan's D-line has a couple of young guys, but they have Brandon Graham as a senior, a few DTs with a few games under their belt, and Craig Roh, who's one of the fastest DEs I've ever seen. All of our linebackers are older and experienced and are probably the strongest part of defense. Most of the young guys are in the secondary, and yes, they don't have a lot of experience, but they held up fine against Tim Hiller, who's an NFL prospect QB. ND has better receivers than Western, though.

  • If Tiller tossed it around for 265 against the UM defense, what do you guys think Clausen and his boys will do, worse? 225? 200? Give me a break

  • Nearly all of that 265 was in the second half, when Michigan started playing their second and third string guys, and if you paid attention, you'd know that.

  • good point. i caught their highlights, but didn't break down the film.

my point regardless...jimmy clausen is in a different league than hiller

  • Well maybe not this year, but in two or three years Michigan will beat Ohio State.

  • Go blue i live in ohio and i hate how the ohio state fans r so arrogant on how they are going to beat michigan this year.Michigan will win this year

  • ND will bring it Saturday but I think Michigan will win

  • Yeah, i think the only edge ND has is experience. I think Clausen is pretty overrated, I mean he had a mediocre day against Michigan last year.

  • You're right; and that mediocre ND O-line better watch out...these big boys from Western had trouble stopping just THREE Wolverines!

  • the big boys from Western? you got to be fucking kidding me if you think the 3 returning starter defense from western is anything like ND's defense, mediocre line? its better than western's did mich even get a sack this game?

  • 2 or 3 sacks, several hit-as-thrown, and at least three batted down within 10 feet of the passer. I was there in the front row. Western's O-line's pretty solid, or Tim Hiller wouldn't get the kind of numbers he got the last two years. Clausen better chuck that ball early if he doesn't want to get plowed.

  • o someone told me they didnt get a sack lol i got bad sources, nevadas DE's are supposedly NFL caliber and Clausen didnt get sacked all day, Forcier better pray to god he doesnt meet Te'o or he will break his shit in half

  • that was a completely different clausen, we also almost lost to san diego st the game before, these are two completely different teams

  • Well even if it was a "different" Clausen, Michigan's defense was one of the worst in the country. And Clausen is still overrated.

  • he did hell of a lot better against nevada than tebow did against charlston southern or mccoy did against ulmonroe so obviously hes going to get attention, he can throw darts

  • you shouldn't be comparing Clausen to Tebow and McCoy because of one game against a shitty team.

  • ok obviously they are not in the same category but for just this weekend he was better than both of them so i cant say that?

  • Well sure you can say he was better against Nevada but that means absolutely nothing.

  • like it or not 2 of his td's were in pretty tight coverage, and his performance was hell of a lot better than his performance in his last season opener against a worse team

  • Thats exactly why he is overrated

  • i thought he played a little off on saturday

  • tight coverage?!?! please pass me what you're smoking. the band was closer to the receivers than the secondary!!

  • we are talking about the same game arent we?

  • i was talking about Clausen's two TD passes that were in tight coverage lol

  • Mich 38 ND 34

  • Neither does beating up western michigan. so let's save it alllll for tomorrow at 330

  • Thats what I thought. Mich 38 ND 34. What do you have to say about that?

  • here i am. great game played by both teams. i am man enough to say i underestimated forcier.

i won't sit around and make excuses like you guys did last year. good game. see ya next fall

  • Clausen's gotten better, but I still think he's not as good as Hiller...Golden Tate and Michael Floyd just make him seem like it. Those two played spectacularly and made some wild catches. Armando Allen ended up being a tank, which I didn't expect. ND's O-line impressed me the most, especially after being shaky these past few years. Very well played and I can't wait till next year. Go Blue!

  • Thanks for being objective after a big win.

You'll have a hard time convincing anyone (no matter who they hate) that hiller is better than clausen

  • Nevada also had the worst pass defense in the nation last year (dead last), so Jimmy Clausen could probably have closed his eyes and tossed the ball and made completions. Clausen has never been a top quarterback and probably won't be. 15/18's good, but McCoy did that on average EVERY GAME last year.

  • closed his eyes and tossed the ball? maybe you had your eyes closed when you watched the game if you did watch the game, two of his passes were in very good coverage, they need to be pinpoint accurate and thrown hard and they were, i didnt see forcier throw anything like that

  • check out the play at 7:32. i would say thats a pretty good throw dont u think?

  • Clausen didn't play in the 4th quarter, fool.

  • Gonna be a great game this weekend. Best of luck.

  • Great game that QB and the other QB was what UM needed and the team looks really good. They look more stronger & agile the team is in the stance correctly. When they run a play they follow through. Also would like to comment if they did work them over they need to do it again LOL what ever it was it worked. I would say that WMU is a really good team UM is just that good. I hope they get really prepared for ND <--NO DEAL

  • I love how Notre Dame fans are seeking out this video to tell us how they are gunna beat us....grow up please.

  • It's called, knowing your opponant. Knowing your enemy. What they have, and what they can do. that is my point

  • Michigan is no Nevada our offense is sick and our D is much improved. That QB will be confused and have so much pressure pt on him he won't know what to do. Michigan will be 2-0 after this weekend.

  • Comment removed

  • Well, I think one of ND's advantages will be the experience at the QB position. I expect Tate to make mistakes, something he didn't do against WMU. Hopefully, though, he doesn't make enough to lose the game.

Nevada ran the ball with some success against ND, so hopefully UM will be able to do well in that aspect of the game. If so, all Tate will have to do is manage the game (something he's equipped to do right now, as a freshman).

  • lol i was just repeating the other guys comment because it fit exactly for Michigan as well.

But i agree with you...if our D can slow down ND's offense, then I believe Michigan will win, Rich Rod didn't show his hand last week, thus why we played a stalemate in the second half.

This game is huge for both teams, espexially since Michigan would most likely be 4-0 heading to MSU.

i'll be there making sure Jimmy can't hear!

    Go Blue!

  • wow cute -.-

  • Man I am SO excited about this weekend. Go BLUE!

  • at 7 seconds on left side of screen, watch #41 fail at hitting the banner! lol loser.

  • its Zoltan Mesko..our punter

dudes goofy but hes a great punter lmao

  • Even though Denard's thin, he's really strong too

  • Being an Irish fan, I loathe UM. However, Koger's catch is just wicked sick.

  • scouting for the upcoming game i see

  • I was pretty suprised on how the offense performed and even more suprised with how the defense performed. And that Kogers catch was holy shit moment.

  • whats the deal with Justin Turner? there big defensive back recriut? hes not on the depth chart...

  • Apparenly RR said that JTurner has only been in Ann Arbor for 3 weeks, so I think he'll get in the mix, just needs a little time to get comfortable.

Remember the old #2 great Woodson, got his calling in the 3rd game of his frosh year and he never looked back!

    ~GO BLUE!!

  • What to do with Robinson? Gotta get that speed on the field some how..

  • get ready for the beatdown on saturday...

  • at this game it was nuts......kogers catch was rediculous

  • Win or Lose ,i Love My BLUE!!! Wolverines 2009

  • Zoltan Mesko bites it at :07 lol

  • Hiller is NOT better than Jimmy, and if you dont think thats true, wait till the NFL draft. They tend to analyze talent and intangibles pretty well

  • that was a decent michigan team against a horrible ND team....this is a decent michigan team against a GOOD nd team (#18) and it appears that not over-rated as always....we will see on saturday. I am gonna love taking the crowd out the game early.

  • Being ranked #18 for beating up on the team with the worst defense in the nation last year seems a little overrated to me. Nevada has a good offense...for the WAC. Western crushed two Big Ten teams last year and and Hiller threw for over 300 yards every game.

P.S. Jimmy Clausen is in no way a better quarterback than Tim Hiller, and no statistics will support your claim.

  • you're going to wish you guys were able to take the crowd out of the game. I just can't wait to see what you guys have to say after the game after you've lost!!

  • How much do you want to bet that ND wins by AT LEAST 2 touchdowns?

  • i would take that bet... TWO td's ON THE ROAD...which you got your ASS BEAT 38-0 last time...

  • $300

  • My Dad and I fly back to Ann Arbor from LA every year to go see a game. We're going this weekend. Hopefully they'll kick Charlie Weis's fat ass back to South Bend.

    Go Blue!

  • i went to this game awesome atmosphere

  • If that's all that Michigan has, then they are going to get killed by notre dame. I see another 6 gifts in the form of turnovers to Notre Dame. Notre Dame is NOT Western Michigan (who?) and they did not have the quarterback, receivers, running backs, corners, secondary or linebackers that ND has. You guys are in for such a rude awakening its ridiculous. It might be a game for two or three quarters, but it will stop there. UofM 20, ND 35

  • umm...notre dame beat NAVADA (WHO?!!?!) 35-0, and this game should have been 45-7, please. I understand that it won't be easy but don't count Michigan out just yet.

  • only NEVADA with the 3rd best rushing offense and 5th best overall. Nevada has a pancake defense, but their O was good. They got shut the hell out. Im not sure how Forcier will deal with exotic blitzes from all over the field, and as for Robinson, we got ready for him by playing Nevada's QB who is WAY better than Denard Robinson. We will see what happens, but if talent across the board has anything to do with it, ND should win.

  • They play in the WAC. That is why they have the 3rd best run game. Michigan has much better talent. When your defense is 119th in the country and you are getting a TD on you every drive, it is hard to run your normal offense.

  • We just need to see some more games. WolverineHistorian is a pussy for deleting my first comment!

  • hahhaha

  • michigon's back this year

  • We don't know that yet. It's too early to tell. But I certainly hope we're at least CLOSE to being back.

  • Maybe so but is it too early to say that Michigan will destroy Notre Dame this Saturday?

  • Yes, WAY too early

  • Yeah, actually. Please don't tempt the college football Gods.

Winning one game and then telling the world that you're back while pounding your chest is what Notre Dame fans do...every year...for the last 15 seasons. Hasn't exactly worked for them, has it?

Don't lower yourself to the level of the typical Domer.

  • So pumped for the rest of the season

  • Thanks a lot for posting this, I was on a plane and missed the game.

  • They did use Denard Robinson as a reciever but you didn't see it in this clip. I agree. They could use him like Penn State used Micheal Robinson.

  • i wouldn't mind throwing shoelace out in a receiver position sometimes...he has breakaway speed unlike any other player on the team. he has a strong arm, but needs a lot more time before he'll be able to beat out forcier.

  • Shoelace will play QB and that's where he will and should stay. He needs to learn the playbook and be ready to go at any time. Perhaps in his junior or senior year he can move around, but for now he needs to be ready to play QB. He is way to valuable to risk getting hurt playing another position, for more then a few plays a game.

  • Robinson is fast, but Tate Forcier is the better choice at quarterback

  • Why do i love tay odoms?!

3:24 - THAT guy has a heart of a lion and is a true teammate

  • don't argue with him about tay odoms, it's not worth your time

  • Wow, k, time to clean house guys, UM football is done forever and will never get back to the glory days, better just give up and disband the football team. All hail gill2069.

Please think before you make idiotic statements, or just go back to the cold bridge your troll a** is living under and shut your damn mouth.

  • I still can't get over Denard Robinson's speed...and he is waaay faster than Pryor. That run was incredible.

  • Lol, did you see the guy durf it at the very beginning?

  • Craig Rog is Gonna Be a STAR******** im tellin u that kidd is beast speed wait till he gets alot stronger a young jared allen

  • u can tell our team speed is 10x better than last year and r defense is really wraping up GREATTTT!!!

  • its great to c that zoltan mesco is no longer our valuble player

  • Man this was a great game. i was at the game and i can't wait to go to nd this week! GO BLUE! we're comin back!

  • great video :) love seeing the 10 minute highlight videos!!!

MICHIGAN FOOTBALL IS GOING TO BE BETTER THAN EVER

    GO BLUE!!!!!

  • May the Forcier be with you. And don't Mesco with the Zoltan. (hoping to see less of our punter this season.)

  • Thanks for posting this video! It's so good to see Michigan come back from the nightmare that was 2008. This is one of my favorites.

  • GO BLUE!!! This is the start of Michigans come back, this year is gunna be good, but i expect Michigan to be good enough to compete for the Big Ten next year, Tate Forcier impressed me so much, hes our boy now!!!

  • I was in section 12 row 21 very close to ya Mgoblue099

  • I was Behind the guy who had the Ann Abor believes in Rich Rod Section 13
