  • If you like this tune then you should get Ken's book 'Tunes for Celtic Ukulele'. It has 12 tunes including Fisher's Hornpipe with three recordings of each at normal medium and slow speeds so that beginers like myself can hear how to play them. It is great value. As a mature newcomer not only to ukulele but to playing an instrument I need all the help I can get and I find Ken a huge help and inspiration.

  • Brilliant arrangement and nice playing as usual Ken.

  • Beautiful tune!!

  • Thanks.

  • That was really lovely Ken - I must admit I have still not entirely mastered the Lord of the Dance yet that I got over a year ago !!

    Must practice more ...

  • This one is a bit easier than Lord of the Dance though. Thanks Caroline.

  • Yay, teddy! :-D Did you happen to notice I made him so his head was tilted slightly, so he looks as though he's listening to your music? :-) Really excellently played, as always, Ken! :-) Your uke has a really gorgeous tone to it. :-) Have you named teddy yet? :-) X

  • I did sense that he was listening carefully to what I was doing. Spooky.

I don't name things. Even a recent (now deceased) kitten we aquired was just called Little Cat.

  • Gorgeous Ken. Shall be buying that book. Thanks

  • Thanks Nick, I hope you enjoy it.

  • Really nicely done, Ken.

  • Lovely, but you make it look so easy!

  • It's certainly easy to go wrong, as I did at the end.

    Stunnng

    S

  • Thanks for that, Stew. Appreciated.

  • Terrific. I really think the uke is so well suited to Celtic tunes with its nearly harp-like tones. Who's your friend?

  • Thanks very much. The bear was a gift.

  • I can't wait till your 12 Heavy Metal favorites comes out. You rock, Ken! (seriously, congrats on a second ebook)

  • Thanks. It does sound pretty good. it's a nice uke.

  • Thanks Tony.

  • Quite nicely. Oh yes.

  • Thank you.

  • That looks suspiciously like Ted-With-No-Name. Methinks they are related.

I like this melody a lot and your arrangement is excellent, Ken.

  • Thanks Tony. You think that might be an alternate title?

  • @casetone2514 - that song by "America"? i been through the desert on a ted with no name...

  • @revdrjim

My teddy bear is called Ted-With-No-Name in honour of the "Uomo senza nome" character in Spaghetti Westerns - in particular The eastwood character in A Fist Full Of Dollars. Horse With No Name Works, too. Ken's bear looks remarkably like mine.

  • @casetone2514 - oh...well i've got an inflatable doll but it's human not like mr. krabb's zebra. i'm not into that whole relationships with animals of the Serengeti thing

  • @casetone2514 They are indeed :-D I made Ken one for his Birthday :-) X

  • Wonderful! I was half-expecting the bear to start dancing around.

  • Thank you, Alan.

  • really moves along -- so nice!

  • Thank you.
