Thanks for the review man, I am going to buy one of the aftermarket ones now, and I already have 2 lp-e8 batteries, but I will probably get another 2. I have subscribed
One battery works just fine my friend. The grip serves merely as an extension cord. The grip requires no added power. Two batteries double your productivity. It's nothing like a pro motor drive on a 35mm camera which needed power to advance film. My old Pentax took 10 AA's to advance 35mm film at 5fps. The fastest ever built and looked intimidating as hell. Nice vid but needs ONLY ONE battery.
I ordered one of these off of eBay for $45 and it arrived in the mail today, it's an awesome grip. It gives the camera a more professional look and makes the camera a lot easier to hold and take portraits with. 9.5/10 for me.
You can use a batterygrip with a single battery also if one battery runs out. However I think you can trust the 3rd party batteries but I think Original grip is much better.
the Rebel and xxD series use APS-C (1.6 crop factor) and the 1D uses APS-H (1.3), all which multiply the focal length of lenses
On a full frame camera like the 5D(mkII) and 1Ds series, the sensor is full size, and conforms to old FD mount 35mm sized lenses, and utilizes the full focal length of lens, not multiplying the focal length at all.
thanks for exsplaining it to me! would you recomend a full frame camera or is it just another add on that isent that trivial and i could get along fine with a canon 550d?
lol affording full frame digital cameras is a right on its own, kts a bit expensive, and getting along* with the 550D is all about being ok with using the features it offers
I just bought a grip for my Canon 550D. And when i put new regular batteries it says ''Change the Battery'' .. And shows a low battery sign..
