  • Iggy Pop: Godfather of Punk, car insurance shill and eccentric kidnapper.

The man's got one hell of a résumé.

  • Who came here because they are BACK!!!!!!!

  • They reunite. EXCITED! <3

  • They're f**king reuniting!!! Holy fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu*catches on fire*

  • @personM4N i know so hapish

  • When I listen to this song... my speakers can never go loud enough... and i'm not really one for super loud music but damn i love atdi.

  • i know you're not supposed to take your hands off the wheel while driving, but when i hear this song, i can't help but clap my heart out.

    dangerous.

  • chris farmer on some old xsjado blading vid had this as the soundtrack and it was fuckin' sick!

  • Iggy <3

  • 3 people have never heard of good music.

  • At about 3:05 I think about Year of the black rainbow for some reason.

  • I love The Mars Volta to death, but this band is so badass too!

  • @MashedPotatoes18 honestly i think moreso! ever heard of sparta?

  • @welljer Yeah. Some of the same members as ATDI, right? I've been listening to them quite a bit too lately. Good stuff.

  • Cola nuts are testicals removed from the body and soaked in carbonated liquid sugar. A delicacy in Brittan but very common in America.

  • wooooaaaaa!!

  • this song is sick

  • What are cola nuts

  • @raina2224 haha i got the same question :S

  • @soali001 Haha I still don't know what they are maybe I'll search it up some day.

  • @raina2224 The nuts of the cola tree. It's pretty much the flavour of Coke and Pepsi.

  • *thrusty thrustness

  • wish i wouldve seen this shit live

  • I would so go to a bulk barn or a Costco and get like 10,000 cola nuts for $200 or something. Get it on a crate and wrap that shit in brown paper. Just to see what the fucker would do. I followed your god damn instructions to the letter. Where's my kidnapped band?

  • Where did they come up with this shit god its amazing!

  • but i dont have any cola-nuts.....

  • my sister gave me this albumn, she blessed me with unusual amazing music haha

  • this has to be one of the most amazing songs ever!!!!!

  • That's none other than Iggy Pop as the kidnapper at the start.

  • <3 this and I love how the lyrics have a coherent storyline.....ATDI doesn't always give you that.

  • @ShinyHeartDiary Ive noticed most things by them and tmv do give a story, you just have to know what its about for it to make sense. its a bit odd

  • hace 7 años no escuchaba este tema...aun me gusta

  • what is the intro about?

oh and the bass is fuckin sublime on this song and the part with the accordian or whatever thats whats so good about this band they always have some toned down part before this fuckin epic explosian of awsomeniss like in cosmonuat my favorite song thers a little pause before hes like yeah ga ga ga ga ga ga yea yea yeah yea

  • @nolin335 The intro has to do with kidnapping, as does the rest of the song.

  • Just sorta realized this song is about heroin additction.

  • if you dig this, go check out "this love feels like a heart attack" or "dial b for bewilderment" by pack of wolves from austria. they're awesome, too!

  • I think if they made an album after Relationship of Command a lot of it would sound similar to Enfilade.

  • this is my favourite thing in the world that isn't a pizza

  • This could last us all a lifetime. . .

  • I really don't see why people feel the need to argue about ATDI and TMV and who's better. They're really both excellent, and let's face it: Omar and Cedric are fantastic musicians, so they'd pretty much be awesome in any band together.

  • best vocals ever.

  • lol.

  • what memories this brings, i fuckin love this shit!!!

  • these guys were gods ...

  • @Bozzy83 they ARE gods

  • The production on this album/cd is amazing.

  • YES!YES!YESYES their favorite song11

  • the more i listen to Volta albums, the more i realize that at the drive-in's Relationship of Command was far superior than anything the Volta released after Deloused in the Commatorium. im not sure wht the mars volta is trying to achieve, but i dont think you can call it "music" or "brilliant" anymore, there's too much experimentation going on. at the drive in had better songs.

  • @JudahIscariot yeah, i know of about 2 songs that i find interesting from the mars volta.. the rest is a headache :/

  • shame on you for saying "too much experimentation", expressing yourself to the extent of your musical capabilities is the whole point in my opinion. i agree that deloused was their best, however i feel as though they were trying to fit a genre with ATDI whereas TMV is more of a free expression of themselves. the musicians that are the mars volta have far surpassed the cumulative talent of ATDI.

  • @mikeuccello at some it stops being music and its just noise.

  • @anguaa that what they said about sonic youth......

  • @JudahIscariot i agree.

  • @JudahIscariot may I ask what makes you think you are the authority on the matter?

  • @JudahIscariot You can't call it music? TMV is far more melodic than At The Drive-In.

  • It's bad ass how Iggy-pop is making the call at the beginning.

  • @k7twenty2 correct, it is badass. daliend is a fag AND a noob

  • 2:20 - 3:00 i love that riff

  • DAT BASS RIFF

  • Nothing can touch this... Perfect energy. Love it.

  • the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

  • "Hello, mother leopard. I have your cub. You must protect her, but that will be expensive. 10,000 cola nuts, wrapped in brown paper. Midnight, behind the box. I'll be the hyena, you'll see."

  • hahahahaha

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • WAT?

  • It's about a kidnapping so that's the kidnapper calling the mother.

Ps Iggy Pop did the vocals on that.

  • wrong, he did vocals on rolodex propaganda, not this...

  • no I meant he's the kidnapper on the phone intro.

and yeah, he made roldex his bitch!

  • still im pretty sure that is cedric or other member of the band doing the voice dude. And yeah, roledex was classic

  • @daliend That is defiantly Iggy Pop bro

  • What in the world is a cola nut...?

  • That's 'Kola' nut, as in Coca & Kola; the 2 main ingredients of the original "Coca~Cola". I'm pretty sure they're native to Africa and are used in shamanic medicine there. Presumably you're aware of what Coca is...

  • @ixnxiablefulable

Yeah, I know what Coca is. Thanks for the info.

  • @myworld559 Me and my friends still quote this all the time. I got this album shortly after it came out in 1999 or 2000. Over 10 years old, hard to believe!
