I wish I had more teachers like the ex prostitute when I went to elementary school. I often wondered why some teachers would seem preocupied with anything else but teaching, but now that I look back, they probably were busy worrying about getting found out or telling on someone else!?! Gotta disagree with you on this one. 1st and foremost, you have to question the mentality of someone that sells their body for money. 2ndly, shes the worst of role models because she was a prostitute. It's great that she turned her life around, but I wouldn't want a KNOWN ex-prostitue teaching my child because a teacher, like it or not, IS a role model.

@icthruu4evr Believe me, I'd prefer not to have a former prostitute around my kids, and because of past actions they should have to accept a closer eye on them to regain credibility, but we have judges that were criminals once, etc, if we want the scum out there to change we can't take away all hope that change will not be in vain.so that if someone takes a wrong path in their 20's, they have no reason to redirect their life, then we will be stuck with more scum than we have now.

Sometimes teachers in schools are also a counseller for the kids, so if there is someone who has seen the bad side of life the kids will feel like they can talk to this person. They tend to be less judgemental and easier to talk to. Good for her for turning her life around. Inspired me anyhow.
