I love reading comments from illiterate tweens. As a more mature movie-goer who has actually seen this film, trust me, it's very good. He doesn't direct it, he just wrote the script. You will never, ever guess who the devil actually is. This movie is much more than just five people in an elevator. There's a whole lot of drama outside of the elevator and a tie in with people outside the elevator as well. There was plenty of gore and kills for a Pg-13 film, and believe me, lots of people die.
An excellent, smart and well-directed suspense/horror film. More than worth the price of admission. Very taut and riveting. Too bad more modern "horror" films aren't of this quality. Go see it, you'll enoy it!!

Now the major twist is: They are all the devil. That's right, they are each a different part of the Devil's personality, fighting in his subconscious(elevator) for dominance.
This movie looks interesting... Let me point out a few things though... When it shows everyone dead .. Thats actually the image security sees through their surveillance monitors. The black guy may be the devil, when he ignites the lighter , its clearly the devil behind him in his own reflection. It would be cool if the guy in the suit with the curly hair turns out to be the devil. The only thing that can save this movie is the ending! Cant wait to see it

I think it's going to be the guy who at the last second gets on the elevator. Why? because we know at least 3 of the people work there or have business in the building, security guard, dude in the suit and the girl who gets bitten, so why would they do something now. I believe it's the guy cause he doesn't look like he belongs there, and why is he wearing at least 3 to 4 layers of clothing and his jacket is done up all the way, it would be too hot in the building to warrant that.

Night's involvement, this movie will only succeed with a good ending, what's in the middle will just be filler.
I think it's the girl, if you look from 1:48-1:49... lol the guy is in a classic trained knife fighting stance like he knows he's up against a serious threat, and the girl's face looks too victimized and yet there's something behind those eyes.. like she knows her role in the movie. Okay now, see, M. Night off the bat wants you to think the Devil is her since she says this. Then it will be someone different. BUT since M. Night knows that we're gonna think it's someone different, in the end, it will be the girl. BUT M. Night realizes that we're gonna make this assumption so he switches it back to someone different.
Heres my theory, the devil goes into each of them, each of them have done something worthy or guilty enough fro this "Devil" to use them or take something from them like the mummy. The only person who it cant get inside of is the girl from the begining, and the black guy most likely cause he's going to die first. The reason i say this is because at the end, its a dude who's shirtless and towel faced, but the old lady is also suspect, as is the curly haired guy, so i think it possess' them

And at the end we find out that the elevator is actually a storage closet, and everyone was just high from the new cleaning chemicals, and the whole movie is just an advertisement for Dirt Devils new cleaning agents and Pepsi.

I think it's the girl, if you look from 1:48-1:49... lol the guy is in a classic trained knife fighting stance like he knows he's up against a serious threat, and the girl's face looks too victimized and yet there's something behind those eyes.. like she knows her role in the movie. That and she screams a bunch of times to get everyones nerves up, gets bit so she isn't suspected, and she looks far too innocent

After some thinking I think I know who the Devil is, if that's the trick as it appears in the trailer. Black and middle-eastern guys can't be one coz it's racist, the girl can't be one coz it's sexist, the white bloke who came last can't be one coz it's too obvious since he kinda shouldn't be there, doors were closing. So the devil is the old bag because no-one likes old people.

Heres my theory, the devil goes into each of them, each of them have done something worthy or guilty enough fro this "Devil" to use them or take something from them like the mummy. The only person who it cant get inside of is the girl from the begining, and the black guy most likely cause he's going to die first. But really it is the ugly red head bag lady. Not only at 1:52 she has no blood on her, but she also has that evil look. Can't explain. I think I seen this though. Lots of times, actually.
