This coalition could give Thatcher a run 4 her money. Cameron, Osbourne & Duncan-Smith couldn't give a shit about young people. "Off benefits & back in2 work"? Rubbish. "Off benefits" - full stop. Send sick/disabled people 2 a stitch-up ATOS WCA, give them no points, & stick them onto £67.50, then abandon them. Then take another 15% off that, cos they've got an unoccupied bedroom. They pick on the poor. Last year - £27 bn written off in tax avoidance by the rich. Tory scum.
@SiLoJayLo Agreed. On the Wright Stuff today, he was in favor of the Tesco bullshit. I was beginning to go off him. It was horrible. But a guy from Yorkshire phoned in to say that as a Tesco employee, he couldn't get overtime cos of the dole- workers. Wright was defeated and handled it brilliantly, compassionately and sympathetically, for all of us I like to think. He referred to himself as a 20 minute Tory or something. He made my week.
Though I was pig sick of Labour by 2007, it gives me the creeps how Duncan Smith ( wag the finger and try and look cool ) and Larry the Lamb Hague managed to WEASLE their way back. It was like a toilet you flushed years back suddenly being put thru your letterbox?
@Noodles37UK I don't think Duncan Smith ever got over being rejected as party leader, & he's had all this time in opposition 2 put 2gether this "Grand Plan" of his, which is a disaster. With recorded unemployment running at nearly 3m people, does he not think that the sick & disabled are goin 2 be at the back of the queue, when it comes 2 tryin 2 find work. They'll be forced on2 the jobseeker's allowance (£67.50), but with no prospect of ever getting in2 work.
@SiLoJayLo I don't think they'll last. It was a hung parliament and we all could sense the ambiguity of the outcome. We all knew who would win in '97, and I think the ConDems 2010 got in thru apathy/ despair / default. I think peoples' traditional contempt of the Tories will get them booted out 2015. I mean the cuts, the unemployment. But let's face it, all political parties seem hopeless. But I hate the Tories. They haven't changed. Dinosaurs.
Still as moving now as it was then. I'm glad Thatchers doing her 'penance' for the the hate and greed she represented. I can't believe we've let the Tories in again to bring it all back.
@themim66 - Torries, libs, labour...no choice mate. They're all conning, lieing swindeling bastards. always was, always will be. While we have writers like Bleasdale making drama's like boys from the blackstuff, the normal working class will always be represented...even if we are ignored
@rojblake82 you are entitled to your opinion but viewers and critics alike didnt agree...it won a host of awards and was watched by millions.......a brilliant show that conveyed the reality of the early 80s in places like liverpool
@davidleigh65 - quite agree sir. save's me the job of replying. A very difficult and emotive subject that affected millions of families superbly constructed and displayed by Bleasdale. Probably Hill's best ever performance.
@bigheadbob37 - Dark days. I was in the Royal Navy in 81 with a sense of "queen and country" drummed into us while her government were selling the UK off in a fire sale.
the best episode of boys from the blackstuff!!I´m used to see Bernard Hill with the white and grey hair. This one doesn´t seem him.he ´s very young.nevertheless it´s a very great actor!!!

OK, lets have these billions of reasons then. I've got time. I'll listen to each one and refute each one.
