  • this shit will for ever be programed in my brain, what a childhood,na i acually beat this game. wtf..and now its a type search away Hellya!

  • Abobo battle, anyone?

  • Oh man, the days of frustration with the third mission in this game. nobody actually thought to go IN the hole in the wall that Abobo made.

  • lmao @ these double dragon niggas lookin JUST LIKE those soccer niggas from nintendo world cup

  • I think the SMS had better music for Double Dragon. Still classic stuff here.

  • ooooomg. this was the business back in the day. i'm 25 right now, wishing i was 5 again. damn!

  • at 3:10 there's a glitch with those pipes on the wall, you can go up them, but if you're not careful you can fall off the screen and die

  • in river city ransom it is too

  • Sorry SMS fans! The NES version of Double Dragon was better. Even without co-op. The SMS version was too easy. The NES was actually challenging.

  • @Tech170

depends on what you grew up on. SMS had the best graphics, NES had the best music, some times vice versa, anyway, both systems were awesome.

  • Double The Fuck Dragon, pussies!

  • Buckethead at 2:14?

  • Whatever you do , DO NOT get in between 2 enemies!

  • pshh! hahahaha! that bitch slap never gets old! all you people who think grand theft auto is badass have obviously never lived in the 80s!

  • 2:30 FTW!! Love that song!

  • good stuff. fun.

  • @Fr0zenNightmare that is why they changed the intro to street fighter 2[regular edition] the arcade had a white dude knock out a black dude but the home editions just had two white dudes.

  • @CetranRage Only the Genesis versions. SNES versions took the intro screen out altogether.

  • Today you would be called a racist, for hitting the black people at 2:00

  • I remember this game just like it was yesterday. :-)

  • Soooo much better on the SMS. Both visually and aurally.

  • i guess i played this game when i was a kid , lol ... old times =)

  • wow i remember playing this game when i was 7 years old on the gameboy.. ah nostalgia attack!!

  • This takes me back to 1991.

  • I remember playing this in the video arcade. The first time I got to the final room with Willy in it, I was like "WTF, this guy has a machine gun?!" ahhahaha Awesome game with great music. Perfect for a punk-ass 10 year old kid with some extra quarters.

  • This music Is technically poor sounding, very blippy, and not very rich, Yet the themes and overall sound Still kicks ass...If that makes any sense...Double Dragon music is awesome.

  • I love how the enemies bounce when you knock them close to the edge

  • nothing is catchy in video game music, catchy like a black eyed peas songs, todays game music is almost to complicated for its own good

  • I love this game. But sorry Sega version was the best. It had two player action with Jimmy LEE as well. The game was called Double Dragaon. Not one Drangon. I never understood why NES never had them both jimmy and billy.

  • this game has awesome amounts of violence

  • I made one of the best versions for the "Mission 2" music. but its barely gets any hits on youtube.. its highly under rated

  • @XrisSmiles

Maybe because youare underrated! OOO! LOL! Jk man!

  • this music makes me want to run and punch something. a truly classic video game theme imo

  • kick ass!! 8bitMagicain approved! ~8bit

  • wow this brings back so many memories old video games music wer the best

  • I think I wasted about $500 on quarters just trying to get past the river part...

  • @sorphal79 yeah this one was a bitch!!!

  • This game was the shit back in the day

  • NOSTALGIA ATTACK!!!

    *dies*.....

  • Love this games soundtrack it was also a fun game

  • amazing soundtrack from beginning to end. the arcade version sounds even livelier, I'd guess it had an FM chip with more operators... it sounds much like a DX7 keyboard, which was the top keyboard at the time

  • Best part of the song is at 2:07

  • totally

  • dude, I would eat burnt eyeballs to the music at 2:38, that is fukkkkkin BONER music right there. It makes me wanna be 7 years old again and fukkin zone out to this game with grubby hands and fukkin peanut butter all over my face, wearing sweatpants, with an ILL bowl cut, rockin velcro shoes, and wearing humungous glasses, the circular ones that wrap around the back of your ears like a fukkin doofus. But shit man, 1989 was the jamboree sonnnnn

  • Comment removed

  • @PaserOnePsy HAHA! Well said my man. 1989 was the shit! And so was this game!

Can't tell you how many quarters I dumped into the machine wearing acid washed jeans, Polo cologne, and rocking a sweet fucking mullet! Hell yeah!

  • @PaserOnePsy I-I don't know how to respond to this...

  • @PaserOnePsy Like a boss!

  • thats because he was powering up.....>_>

  • Oh shut up, you think you can play better, post some vids up of you playing and see how good you are.

  • ok double dragon has the best freaking music ever. screw mario . GO DD

  • dont forget about Castlevania or Megaman, they are also better than Mario

  • Aww you forgot the Mission 3 music that was the best

  • haha, i dont know if this is weird but some of my most memorable memories are of playing this and other games on my nes back in the day

  • im there with you. even if we are weird.

one of the greatest thing to do man, is smoke some good weed, then pull the NES youll have a nostalgia overload. ive been addicted to my NES for 20 years helpppppppppp

  • Hell yes... good herb and video games go together like peanut butter and jelly.

  • yeah i hear ya

  • Great music to beat someone up to.

  • Hell yeah......Well said Camwi =)

  • just wait till i get my whip, then its on

  • id pay large money to see that. DO A DRAGON KICK!!!!

  • really!!

makes me want to kick somebody´s ass with classic punches and kung fu kicks i played this game a year ago just for remember good times i love this game!

  • Ah, great memories with this game! Never did beat it though. Beat the hell out of part 2 many times, and part 2's music was great too!

  • I started watching this right before I was gonna go to bed. I've been up for 2 days now.

So lying in bed, listening to the music, I just couldn't sleep when I had this fun idea for a fan artwork of Billy and Jimmy in my head. So here I am, drawing it.

This game was so good, GREAT times where had with it, as a kid with my cousins.

  • You gonna post it when you're done?

  • On Deviant Art, I will.

  • hell yeah i used to play with my cousins too! brings back good memories of yelling "get the guy behind me!!" lol goodtimes

  • The first song is one of the greatest tunes I've heard in a NES game. And I've heard a LOT of different NES tunes, and this one stands out still!

  • Classic. I love it.

  • 2:08, they freakin broke it down! My favorate song as a kid.

  • You want to know where they REALLY broke it down?.....I'm talkin' face melting, boner popping, baby eating stuff~ 2:37

  • You got 50,000 on Double Dragon?????

  • lmaooo !!!!! nice one :)

  • God, u just made me feel old..

    That movie sucked, though. lol

  • my original nes that i got for christmas in '85 still works! it takes a little finesse, but i get the games to play. i have about 40 games and every once in a while i'll have a retro night of gaming. i miss those days. who wouldn't want to be 8 again?

  • I do the same thing, I recently replayed and beat mega-man 3 and 4, mike tysons punchout, festers quest and the legend of zelda. It was awesome cause those are like my favorite games when I was a kid. I have to do that at least once every couple of months to keep me grounded in the roots of gaming.

  • if only my nintendo was still working. I hated whenever I tried playing any game the system wouldn't work or the cartridge had some kind of a problem even if you blew into it to get rid of the dust. it was sad when we had to get rid of it. I loved playing Double Dragon

  • Bad ass!

  • Classic!! Brings back memories!

  • Wow...this really brings back memories...especially getting near the end. NEAR it...:( Still...good music to fight to.

  • What is the name of the song that starts at 3:27? It's awesome!!

  • I don't know the exact name of the song but I know as Chin's theme. He's the guy with the purple hair, purple pants and no shirt in the game. I call it chin's theme because in the versus mode when you pick Chin to fight with that music plays. And also when you go into the purple caves where you eventually fight Chin this music plays.

  • it is the second part of the 4th level.

  • The only downfall to this NES version was that it didn't have 2 player Co-op mode. You had to take turns. Something which was really disappointing for me and my brother back in the day.

  • I know my cousin and I played video games together all through our childhood and this was one we could never rock two player in a campaign mode. Quite disappointing

  • This one had a hell of a lot better controls than the second haha. At least you could actually hit the enemies with the jump spin kick.

  • The only downside to this game was its lack of 2player simultenous play. Outside of that, great game with awesome music.

  • Uh, it had 2 player vs. It was rather weak compared to the 1 player game, but it was there.

  • Considering its arcade roots, which was a 2-Player beat-em-up, it was kind of a disappointment. It was also a serious downgrade graphically, so the lack of 2player was painful.

Still the controls, gameplay, and challenge were so good for it's value the game is still considered a classic.

    ...and of course, it's music.

  • DragonForce ( It's a band if you don't know ) Stole this entire song... And stole all the guitar soloes...

  • ...uhm, in which song?

  • The first one. The best one :P lol

  • I mean, which song in Dragonforce. You make a silly claim, at least give us the title of the Dragonforce song you say they ripped.

  • I'll try remembering the name, and message you.

  • wow if this is the best song i wanna know the worst one lmao omg love double dragon

  • The DragonForce song is Black Fire at 3:42. It's the same as this video at 0:22.

  • I just bought super double dragon, and listening to the 16 bit versions of those themes was pure nostalgia!

  • I like the music on the first stage. Especially the breakdown! Always used to get me pumped up!

  • Omg xD one of the best games ever! me and my bro shared so many laughs playing this game. =] Epic win!

  • man this is awesome I NEED MP3

  • Download the flv and convert it.

  • OLD SCHOOL BABY! I LOVE IT!

  • amazing music

  • That guitar break from 2:07 to 2:30 is the best. Awesome stuff!!

  • That might honestly BE the first 8-bit guitar break. I'd forgotten about that. Gave that track a hell of a memorable quality.

  • ooh i love the nintento music, still rules, double dragon come back for 360 or ps3

  • It should come out for every system on the market now. Give em a boost, cause they all have major game library problems.

  • Is it bad that I prefer this to the arcade version?

  • Best VG song ever!!!!!

  • fckng epic VGM !!".!."!."!

  • Is it just me or is it every time I hear the theme song, it just makes me want to kick some double dragon bad guy ass? For 8-bit sounds, it gets the blood pumping

  • Fave song 3:30 haha. Plays for a very short time on world 3 though.

  • This is the best damn theme song very iconic.

  • I remember playing this on arcade at local skating rinks LOL! Damn!

  • i use to play this game on sega genesis it was too fucking sick

  • Oooh, that port is rare. Do you still have it?

  • some of the greatest video game music ever!!!

  • Dude. the theme of the mission one DESERVES to be ranked in the top 10 best video game tunes of all time.

  • Until I grow old & senile, I'll always think of Ace & Chet from AVG when I hear that last track on this vid. I've played most of the DD games, but I never really became a fan of it. I do wonder if they'll come out with a new game on the Wii, or at least do with it what they did with Megaman 9.

  • Mega Man 9 is gonna be the fucking shit

  • Comment removed
