  • The only redeeming quality of this film is the DOTD soundtrack.

  • omg a drugy zombie lol

  • awesome song at the end XD

  • wow ive never seen zombie overacting. this movie is rated b

  • hmmm thats odd im not sure that a bite to the arm would kill u i would b shouting and flailing mah arm about

  • wow thats a lot of ketchup!!

  • It looks like 70's shlock, I like it! And the others are right, 16mm Arri's are ridiculously loud. I used one for my short in film school and it really took a toll on the audio.

  • those old arri's are way too loud for audio.

  • kinda bootleg but effort counts

  • That was an abomination.

  • This was just some random thing right, I mean, this was just a thing where you were like 'hey I have a camera, got any ketchup?'

Cos if this was a real attempt at a comedy even...WOW.

  • Wow! That was awesome!

I've got a Zombie short too! It's got a hot chick in it! Check it out!

    Desert Dead

  • this is pretty awesome... two thumbs up

  • At first I thought it wasn't 16mm, but I think you shot this very well. Beyond content, it is very good technically speaking. I am glad to see that film school hasn't totally abandoned FILM. I think whoever your DP was, if you had one, needs to learn more about lighting and still photography, as it could be better. Overall, I'd give it good marks. Don't worry about these people and their negative comments, they couldn't make a decent film if they wanted to. Most of them are too lazy.

  • @lex24boi i agree but its a shame that they have access to such good equipment and don't know how to use it efficiently or effectively.

  • @lex24boi I agree but its a shame that he has been able to use such good equipment without know how to use it effectively. Mad props for the fact he shot it on his own though.

  • crappy

  • the cranberries are just a touch of bad taste.

  • at the beginning woz he drunk? and when he got bitten he just stood there and let it bite him and she woz just watching lol this sucks

  • I think they were really trying to make a good comedy film

  • say goodbye to hollywood....this wasnt for real was it? Don't tell me you were actually trying...

  • sorry, but this kinda sucks ass

  • nice effort. It was entertaining.

  • AWFUL!!!

  • now i called these zombies - bunch of dead actors who cant act- embarrasment to the zombies communities

  • dude... why?

  • Was it supposed to be funny?

    cuz i though it was

  • ya it tottaly sucks, you see cars and stuff in the backround and shit. im 14 and could have done better.

  • what kind of loser film school has rules to what your allowed for lighting and sound track

  • @diveinme One that is preparing you for the industry. Sometimes you'll faced with the constraint of not having such equipment.

  • sweet. some shots pissed me off a little but, the first zombie actor and the slow mo made it sick. great job.

  • there needed to be a better balance as the credit/titles ran for almost half the short? just wish you did more with chase. Apart from that, not bad!

  • aha, Shaun of the Dead music at one point lol nice

  • It's from DAWN of the Dead, asshole.

All the music in this movie is.

    Except the credits.

  • Asshole?

    Wtf is your problem, dickhead.

So what if i made a mistake.

It's youtube. Get a life and stop taking everything so seriously, jackass.

  • Lawl.

  • Somewhere along the line, probably via Romero, people got this wrong. Zombies are not flesh eaters, nor do they replicate (esp. instantly) by being attacked by one. This is some sort of other movie creation. As usual, everyone has copied this idea.

  • I thought Romero pretty much created the zombie genre in pop culture.

  • No, he revived it and changed it. Zombies exist in Haiti and the Carribean area. They are actual people who have been revived in a trance state after an artificial death. White Zombie came out in 1932, and I Walked with A Zombie around 1946. These use the true type of zombies in their stories. Once again, Hollywood has created its own thing!

  • Yup, you're right. The creatures in Night of the Living Dead were never intended to be zombies, actually. The script called them "Ghouls."

Filmgoers called them "Zombies" because of some obvious similarities (resurrection, mindlessness) and the name stuck.

In fact, I don't think Romero actually called them zombies until Land of the Dead.

  • Loved it!

  • ok so at the 1:00 minute mark, and not to rag on you real bad, but how did they not see a zombie sitting on the grass munching on some dudes leg? I mean I know I would have atleast noticed some one sitting there, and by instict looked over.

  • OMG! You ripped off the music from the Romero films and Shaun of the Dead, and the clip at the beginning "removing the head or destroying the brain" is from Shaun of the dead too! This couldn't be less original!

  • He made a video, not a musical. He didn't need to create his own soundtrack. Just because he used a few appropriate sound clips doesn't mean he wasn't being original. This video was nothing like Sean of the Dead, or Romero.

I liked it. I even giggled a little.

  • the removing head parts from dawn of the dead

  • Great job, I liked the actions and blood, im a gorehound myself. My only criticism is the 14 seconds it took from the time she started running inside to actually getting inside, otherwise great film.

  • I found it boring. It simply wasn't very interesting. Perhaps because there was next to no sound, if any at all. Or was that because you didn't have a mic?

You gotta go with the Dawn of the Dead/28 Days Later style. Everything else is too slow.

  • videos good.

you could use lots of practice in sound though.

  • lmao that was so bad ud think thatd be better zombie films on youtube but they all are so bad which their cliche's and bad acting that they just make you laugh then get scared

  • That was great! Loved the first zombie lol. Isn't 16mm fun? :)

  • GREAT QUALITY!!! that has to be 16mm

the only thing I can see wrong is the acting and expressions

  • nice one

  • good quality picture is this 16mm or super 16mm?

  • try and get them to put it on beta tape so you loose less qulaitly, but you may have trouble capturing it.

  • oh now im beginning to understand, Thank you sooooo much.

    okay so, mini dv

and then how would you edit that? i mean? like its a small tape right? how would you edit a tape?

  • okay so you telecined it right?, to get it developed onto a CD? or no?

  • so, I have a question, how do you edit all the film, like add sounds and stuff? is there a special program. Do you develope the video film or wat? sorry Im just wondering how you turn the film into..you know...btw the movie is great good work

  • Nice job on the blood and gore. That leading lady is totally a starlet. Rock on John

  • Nicely done John...

  • Loved the happy ending!

  • Consider me thoroughly disturbed

  • man, i'm not real big on necrophilia, but i'd totally due that main zombie...he is hot

  • that was a good close-up shot right when she comes in the door.
