Are parents supposed to quit work and stop paying bills just to increase personal debt and spend every day organizing PTA meetings?
Asking your child about their day and occasionally offering help is just as valuable.
as being a chaperone. Most people don't have the option of quitting work to become one of those helicopter parents who have no life outside their kids.
parents involvement also comes in other forms such as getting kids to School on time, getting enough sleep, providing nutritious lunches. That is what this clip is also meaning. It is just a proven study that student sucess in school increases when they have parents involved. (That does come in many forms). ps Thanks to all the parents who are able to get involved in the School, it helps ALL the students:)
Kk, I don't get how parents being at work will affect a studen during the middle of class... The kid'll be like "oh my parents are at work, I'm at school, I shouldn't volunteer". I don't get it, and I find this quite useless. Sorry. I like your hair, though. [Btw I'm in 10th grade, so.]
I think that's the point...
