The capture card you are using, is this a standard definition recorder by Hauppauge? I'm using the HDPVR and that quality you have going, is quite nice.
Right it is a cheap (10 €) SD BT878 card. In descritption I've posted settings for Virtualdub.
And in the Capture Programm (Dscaler) himself. I've enabled some image enhancer filter for TV Picture. ."sharpness filter = 128, " "Gradual Noise Reduction Filter" = 50 and "Temporal Comp Filter".
Btw. With original Hauppauge driver you can only capture in 360x288. I use a special driver called "WDM Video Capture Driver" for full SD.
@MrTestaccount12345 Hm, it sucks it takes so much time for you to get that setup going there. But, by far. . . that is the best Standard Definition video I've seen for video game footage.

Only encode and upscale (h264) needs much time.
