Character design changes suck big time! Especially Xiahou Dun and Guan Yu, they looked perfectly fine before, shouldn't of changed a thing about them. That said, the rest of them (except maybe Lubu) also suck. It's all starting to look a bit Final Fantasy.

i think they fucked up zhou yu and lu xun,they used to look waaay better and had better weapons but now zhou yu has a staff instead of a sword and lu xun has one long sword instead of 2 short ones.

What really disappoints me, the the fact that not only do the characters look gay, but most of their stylized weapons are gone! Taishi Ci was a monster with he giant clubs. Sun Shang Xiang was great with her chakram. Huang Zhong, the greatest archer of Shu, doesn't have a bow? And what happened to Lu Bu's Lunar Spear/Sky Scorcher? I really hope KOEI returns to it's roots in the next game, cuz this blows.

Anyway KOEI have fixed this sort of by releasing new versions such as DW Strikeforce and the soon to be released DW6 Empires.

My Point is if you want full on ROTK style 3rd century times and people please for your own sake play the ROTK games instead of the DW ones these are more modern based where as the ROTK series isn't so it's perfect for Die hard ROTK fans like you :D

Guilty as charged. ^^ lol I'm a totla nut for RotK. I have statues of Guan Yu on display in my home, for goodness sake. I love the DW series, in fact, when they first released DW2 I was hooked. I literally giggled like the overexcited fanboy I am. The change that they took in the DW6 game was just so much, that it didn't even feel like it was the 3 Kingdoms anymore.

It's like if they made a Jeffersons movie but used an all-white family. It may still be funny, but it doesn't seem right.

Well the DW series is the version of ROTK that Koei are experimenting with since this was the first full on DW game to go next gen Koei wanted to step things up and although things got rushed and the game was half finished it was a step in the right direction.

But i guaruntee you that the ROTK series will never turn into something the DW Series has XD

No...It Mean Romance Of The Three Kingdoms which is a Famous novel that this Game is based on but the ROTK series is more realistic then this as it's more like 3rd Century China whereas this is more of a Fantasy kind of version.

i agree that LuBu looks badass. i personally believe they took the "fantasy" look a little too far they should have made them look more traditional chinese with a little bit of fantasy flavor in it for example the old Guan yu looked really badass with that dragon head shoulder guard and the awesome thing was that traditional chinese parents/grandparents were able to just come up to the screen and say "that is guan yu!" without knowing what you were playing or doing

No he doesn't use two swords any more he now has only one sword. He's one of the many characters that have had their weapons replaced or redesigned.

Well i have one for each force. For Wu it would have to be either Zhou Yu or Sun Ce because i like their attack styles, for Shu it would be Zhao Yun because his spear attacks have quite a large range, for Wei it would have to be Zhen Ji because her musou attack can take out 100's of ememies at once and for the other characters it would have to be Lu Bu even though Zuo Ci is the strongest character out of all of the others Lu Bu's attacks can still be just as effective.
