Chao is Chinese... Lingshen and Ringshen actually are similar in pronunciation, but not in meaning. Regardless of the name differences, they are the same person.

And there are two aspects, depending on whether you read the manga, or watch Mahou Sensei Negima. Manga, she is part of the Hospitality club, but she also owns her own resturant. In the English Anime, I believe that she's just part of the club, but it's been close to a year since I've seen it, so I don't exactly recall.

2. Look at the beginning of Ala Alba, you see Negi and Lingshen in a battle of magic, how did she get that? She is a descendant of Negi, of course.

Well, I enjoyed the beginning of the manga when I first read it years ago, but the way Negima is currently written is a lot better now & leagues beyond what you'd find in the first volume. Ala Alba was never a TV series, and it was only adapting a few of the chapters taking place after the Mahora Festival arc, so it's not much of a surprise for me that it' was so short. What I'm wondering is how'd you find out about Kotaro after only reading volume 1? Was Ala Alba the first time you've seen him?

Ala Alba was just a 3 episode OAD series. What you're referring to occured in the final episode. There'll be a new series of OADs starting next month, but there'll be only 4 and a movie if they sell well. I'm surprised you don't just read the scanlations to catch up. What have you read in the manga so far? Did you finish the Mahora Festival arc?

What series? The 1st anime Mahou Sensei Negima! or "Negima!?" the second series? If you're talking about either of the animes, you aren't gonna find Kotaro in either of them (he was never animated until the Ala Alba OADs that came out last year, but only someone who reads the manga could understand what is going on in those). It's best to stick with the manga, since the two animes (moreso in Negima!?) follow different continuities and have different events.

If you're asking about Ala Alba being on television, then...no, it likely won't be. Those three episodes weren't made for television, they were just OADs released with the manga for people that know the real story behind the series, not the alternate stories the two animes made.
