This song isn't about vegetarianism in the slightest.. Meredith herself has stated that she is not opposed to eating animals, and that the meaning of this song has nothing to do with that subject. Just so all you know.

Yeah, the song isn't about vegetarianism. Meredith was slightly offended that people assumed it was just about vegetarianism... the meaning is slightly more deep than that. It's about how people do whatever it takes to get what they want, whether that means killing a turkey or killing a human.

Also, I've been a vegetarian my whole life, all fifteen years. :)

I believe this song is about how humans often don't care about other living beings (including other humans) the way they should. They only care about what they want and what they feel they deserve, and in the end that's whtat will destory us. Selfishness.
