  • "did you feel a pretty good recoil on that?"

    "yeah..."

  • Holy cow...

  • When they make a sequel to Thor, they should have him in the middle of the ocean, in a boat, using one of these to hunt the Midgard Serpent.

  • Thumbs up if 8bore shot gun brought you here....XD

  • who needs a motor. just throw that on the back of your john boat.

  • Shotgun for dragons. Enough said.

  • That firing mechanism looks absolutely ancient o.o

  • They're GRRRRRRREAT!!!

  • Grrrreeat!

  • its a new type of engine!

  • Perfect for when you've had enough of those fucking smarmy ducks, and their goddamn quacking.

  • well if you lose your oars you could always fire the gun to get back to shore

  • "it was a little violent"

i would like to see this guy field testing any other large caliber gun, if this is only a little violent. lol. Give him that 700 nitro express pistol.

  • imagine that at a turkey shoot...

  • damn gun laws.

  • Dear Santa....

  • 0.5 gauge anyone?

  • shooting a cannon on a row boat, god bless you Americans

    from Canada

  • @arcticcat700xtx thank the British for inventing this hunting technique.

  • -12 gauge.

  • holyfuckingJesus that's my next weekend project

  • lolley, why don't you do some study before doubling down on your idiotic (and incorrect) replies.

  • its a .5 gauge

  • just tie that on the roof of your house, tie a string to the trigger and pull the string through the fireplace. lets just say if any illegals come near, BANG

  • 1:00 a mini battleship

  • lol this gun is more useless then a cannon...xD.. its like a gun version of one anyway.. dumb..

  • Firing a 50 cal. from the shoulder puts a bad bruise on your shoulder. Fire this from your shoulder, and you're not going to have an arm left.

  • @agricola Its to clear the ducks away, not to kill, and eat them...

  • @lolley1100

Sorry, you're wrong. They were used for market hunting when it was legal to sell wild waterfowl for eating.

  • @coy0te9 Your a fucking idiot...

  • @lolley1100 no your the fucking idiot. coy0te9 is right

  • @camerl2009 ok, im sorry you have to argue with a specialist that works at Cabelas...

  • @lolley1100 just becuse you work a cabelas dont mean you know everything

  • Punt Gun, Its more of a cannon!!!!

  • thta's not fair

  • its a 0 gauge

  • Actually, it's going to be closer to a 2pdr at that point.

For bore sizes, there really isn't a 0 gauge, as gauge is figured by the number of lead balls of that diameter that would make up a pound. Once you get to 1 gauge, which is approximately 1.67", it goes up to how many pounds the ball is that would fit in that bore.

  • thats cheating

  • i wonder what the gauge on that gun would be

  • 2 inch bore.

  • someone should make decoy claymores >:)

  • wow. the perfect anti-zombie weapon

  • It depends. Are you just going to set it up as a remote detonated trap? If not, it takes *way* too long to reload and weighs you down *way* too much.

  • you could just mount it on your vehicle/shelter

  • Yeh. That works. I just wouldn't want to use it as my main weapon.

  • well in this case: evil-nazi-duck-zombies XD ROFL

  • LOL!!!!! just pray you dont miss a few

  • @cartoonbloodshed Considering that it has to be mounted and takes probably a solid minute to load, probably not. Maybe if you had a battery of 5 or six of them so some could shoot while others were being reloaded.

  • if you could mod it to be a breach loader. or a simi-auto...it's better agenst graboids.

  • @cartoonbloodshed The perfect anti-anything weapon

  • @xifel72 Definately the perfect anti-graboid weapon!

  • a cannon might be more mobile lol

  • Actually you are both wrong. It depends not only on the length of the shell, but the amount or shot used an the size. #8 1 oz cup will have a higher velocity then a 1 1/4 oz cup of shot an so on. More then just size to make up the power, speed, an impact energy. 10 gauge is just a bigger bore then a 12 but the round depends on the power, not the bore size.

  • 0_0 war in iraq

  • 0_0 dumbass idea

  • wouldn't the military need one of those ????

  • LOL

  • lol so powerful it bushes the boat back

  • Would this gun do what they do in the movies and actually throw back the person that it hits?

  • Its like holding 100 shotguns at once, if someone had the strength to hold it, they'd be torn in half :P

  • it looks like fun though :) i wonder how lound it sounds

  • check out the AA12 Auto Shotgun its crazy

  • Easily, it's essentially a cannon. They were only ever fired from boats (Called punts, hence it's name)

  • I wonder how indian shot would perform in a punt gun.

  • a bet alot of fish shit their pants when they heard that

  • haha true true

  • i thought gauge was how many fractions of a pound ie 12 ga is a 12th of a pound

  • no guage stands for a 1lb ball of lead diveded up to 12 (or appropriage gauge number) equal size balls then 1 ball whill fit down the bore of the barrel

  • they have a stock to hold the gun on your body

  • What is the purpose of giving the gun a stock? Seems it would be a lot lighter without the stock without making very much of a sacrifice on durability.

  • I love how it gave the whole boat a nice sized kick

  • fuck bob. fuck you. stop it. its very gay.

  • fuck yeah lake wars

  • No puntguns hav ever been fired at 90 yards on the wash, or any other bay, way out of there effective range buddy!

As for gauge, there is no such thing. A punt guns bore it too big to be measured using the traditional "number of lead balls in the bore" is measured by its internal bore diameter. An old muzzel loader like that would be maybe 1.23 to 1.5 inch bore, however some older bigger guns were build for the market gunners in the early 1900's

  • that thing was awsome when they used it in Tremors 4... untill the second tromor creature grabbed it as took it under ground

  • would like to have seen the shot taken at 90yds which is the distance that they used to use on the 'Wash' with BB's but all the same, excellent dude.

  • Yowza! now that's a gun!

  • Close... It's actually a 00 (double ott) gauge.

  • 00 usually refers to the size of the BBs (or shot) and not the caliber.

  • its a zero gauge

  • the gauge refers to the number of lead balls that are the same diameter of the barrel that would total up to 1 pound in lead. A 12 gauge would take 12 lead balls, an 8 gauge is larger so it would only need 8 balls.

I think you just divided by zero.

This might (just guessing) be a 1 gauge or even an A gauge (they use letters to refer to calibers where a ball the same diameter as the barrel would weigh more then a pound).

  • -200 gauge...yeah...

  • ya know the higher the gauge the weaker ...

  • sorry youre wrong a 12 gauge 23/4 shell # 8 shot, shoots 1450fps a 3 inch 410,#8 shot only 1280 mabey you should try google next time

  • no i mean the higher number of the gauge. like 12 gauge is weaker then 10 because its higher

  • Its A -12 GAUGE..HAha

  • firing main cannon lol

  • What gauge is it???

  • 100000000000000000 gauge,...I think

  • 100000000000000000 gauge.... that would be tiny. very tiny. the way "gauge" is measured is in fractions of a pound of lead. so a 12ga bore can fit a lead ball weighing 1/12 of a pound. thats why 12ga is bigger than 20ga. this is more like a 1ga shotgun.

  • lol - my bad - all I know is it's REALLY REALLY BIG - cool gun!

  • its a 4 gauge

  • @grizzlytanker 2 gauge actually

  • @grizzlytanker loading it must b a pain in the ass

  • @grizzlytanker 2 guage theres another vid that tells you :)

  • @grizzlytanker i thought guage is how many times something fit into an inch 2 guage being half inch 4 guage being a quarter etc

  • @wallzac13 so this having about a 2-4" bore on it... wht would it be like .25 or .5 ga....

  • @wallzac13

    That makes no sense.

  • 4 gauge

  • 4 gauge

  • no its 2 gauge

  • it is just artillery shaped like a gun

    bungholes.

  • this is the best gun for a crazy red neck

  • i agree

  • Hell yes it is! I want two!

  • 0:39-0:46

    Thats what she said.

  • haha.

  • HAHAHAHA!!!

  • lol

  • i wish i had one of those

  • Does the punt gun use blackpowder or smokeless powder?

  • black powder

  • what the hell does buckshot have to do with the type of gunpowder?

  • what the hell?

  • DYLANS A HOTTTTY

  • My... that's a big one..,

    (from "Dirty Harry")

  • A GIANT SHOTGUN

  • search youtube for chris walton

  • HOLY LOOK AT THAT RECOIL

  • actually it killed so many water foul, they made it illegal to hunt with a punt gun in 1896. This isn't the best shot ive seen, but there fun ah hell to see what they do.

  • Too close to the target for an effective pattern.

  • look at how it pushes the boat back
