@lifeforplay1 I've never used promarkers before but if they have a brush tip and have alochol based ink then they should be similar but usually other markers are really different like prismacolor, chartpak, neopiko, and touch and usually the western markers don't tend to blend as well while neopiko (japan) and touch (korean) are similar to copics
hey guys....i have to ask for your advice,so...can you tell me if i have to buy the copic ciaos for the skincolour?I have six or seven copic marker (these with one fat and one thin brush) and i wouldn't like to buy some new....so,can i colour skin with the markers, too?
@HidansLittleGirl your question is kinda... not very well worded but I'll try to answer. copic markers are ciao markers btw. Copic markers come in ciao, sketch, wide, and original and there are various colors for each. There are most colors in sketch however but you should be able to find skin tone markers for both ciao and sketch. I hope this answered your question!
@guineaandpolar123 Yes but it won't be a lot darker and you may find yourself going over the picture over and over again. this will 1) take a lot of ink and you may find yourself running out quick 2) start to create an odd blotchy pattern on the paper with what seems like white "dots" on the page. Test it on a scrap of paper with maybe a small doodle to try it out ^^
@MangaLessons I like your drawings a lot but I have a question, how can I avoid blutches while painting with Copic Markers? I'll be waiting for a response, thank you =)
@MaikeruXD13 don't go over once spot too much and that can create a weird texture... but if you're coloring isn't even it can create uneven coloring. Its best to use the feathering techinique for smooth coloring/blending
@MangaLessons they probably mean, you know when u over color one spot it can wear out / wet / rip the paper? if thats not what they mean, thats what im asking hahaha
@MoriosOniiChan I've never ripped the paper with copic markers...they are alcohol based and not water based so it shouldn't make the paper wear out/rip ^^;
this helped alot!! I just got copics and I didn't know what to do with them =_='
AND TO ALL YOUTUBERS WHO READ THIS COMMENT, LISTEN UP:
Just so you guys know I know how many people pronounce copic a's "Coa-pic", but the actual pronunciation is "co-pic" without adding the A. Know what I mean? Like many people say manga a's "Maen-ga" instead of "man-ga". Well can't blame you people who say it the wrong way, cause probably you can't say it the right way =_=' but just informing ya. In Japan you w
@DesuFG this is a bit rude and offensive. Its very contradictory to say "no offense" but yet say something so blatantly offensive as if you don't want to get blamed for anything wrong. Well I'll just say that the original artist probably did not receive this message as a new artist has taken over the channel. Anyway everyone starts from somewhere and it is none of your business what others spend their money on right?
@MangaLessons LOOK AT HER, Why does she have copics? She cant draw, or colour! So spoilt, learn to draw, then ink, then move onto coloring pencils. Not copics at the start LMAO!
@MangaLessons Yes, but let's all be honest, and ask ourselves this question that has been on ALL of our minds. Why does such a terrible artist, who cannot draw in the 1st place, have such professional and expensive equipment? She should learn to draw for herself, then move on to colouring. But instead, she started with copics? That makes no sense to me!a And the worst thing is the fact that she is teaching people how to draw? Really?! Why are you putting such bad videos out there? Makes me sad.
@DesuFG btw I'm not the person who made this video, that was zkittyz and I'm 100puro who took over the channel. There is no set way of learning where one has to learn how to draw THEN color. Frankly I think you should do it at the same time and why not start learning coloring with copics earlier? she'll be even better with them later. Its her choice to create videos and people don't have to watch/learn from her if they don't want to :)
@DesuFG You probably suck at drawing and if you actually go to her channel she is an amazing artist. And it is not your place at all to go around and offensivly critique other peoples artwork. Art is art, there is no right or wrong way of doing it. I happen to love zkittyz and she has helped me personally become better at manga. I'm not perfect and i'm no where near as good as her, but none the less there is progress. So stfu and quit commenting .
But if you go over the black lines with the copic marker when coloring won't it damage the nib and make the nib all black on the tip? That happened to me and ruined 1 of my markers so I have to be extra careful when coloring. You seem to be fine when going over black lines?
@oOxAnimeLoverxOo It really depends on the type of ink you use for outlining. You should use inks that are water-proof and made to be colored with alcohol-based markers like Copics. Copic multiliners are a good choice (which I think is what she probably used) because they are made to be used with Copic markers. I think Deleter Ink #6 will also work well. If you use something like sharpies, you'll probably run into that problem. Also letting the ink dry for a bit helps. Hope that helps! c:
@rincake Oh! Thank you so much! My neighbor has a multiliner she doesn't use that I can borrow until my dad gets back, because I asked him to pick me up one. Thanks!! :D
@sapphyra They are similar to Prismas in that they are both alcohol-based markers. But a big difference is that Copics have many more colors (346 I believe), different types of makers (Original, Sketch, Ciao, Wide), and they are refillable. They are also more expensive. P: But overall really nice for color illustrations. c:
I can see that you are a huge fan of the Copic markers, but in another vid i saw the person was using prismacolor. Which ones should I get, because I made the mistake of buying a set of 100 markers thinking it was quantity not quality that mattered. I want to get a good set and want to know which is better. Thx
@BlackKat48 I didn't own E0000 when I made this video. It's definitely E50. And E0000 almost has a pinkish undertone to it while E50/E51 have yellowish undertones.
you might want to think about sectioning your areas so you don't need to work as fast(and i do realize that you're rushing in this video; i mean in general). i mean thinking of the neck, face, and ear as three different sections and color them one at a time. it helps me at least. its just a small tip i've picked up.
@Tigerwolfie2655 What are you talking about? Ohh the camera. I didn't make nearly enough money to cover the cost of the camera. I already have lots of money in my bank account, but I'm trying to save it to pay for school, so that's why I was able to buy the camera already. Don't worry! Your money is very much appreciated and IS helping to pay for the camera :)
@ytochigames Yeah they work with normal paper. Not many stores sell copics. you're probably better off buying them online. Plus they are WAY cheaper online. They are about $4 a marker online but stores will charge up to $8.
I finally got some Copics of my own, and I'm quite happy. ^^ I made sure to get E50 and E51 as some of my first Copics, because they're so useful. =P
Although, blending... Doesn't that ruin the lighter marker? I mean, after you blend the light marker with the dark marker... The next time you color with that light marker, it makes it have a darker tint to it... Right...? This is what happens to cheap markers (such as yellow blended with black) but I don't know about Copics.
@PikaJutsu That doesn't happen unless you use really different colors, like what you said, mixing yellow and black. But, the color will go back to normal. I don't know why you would try blending colors that are so different though.
@xShizue Ciao holds less ink and only comes in 144 colours while the sketch comes in 334 colours. Also, the Ciao cannot be used with the airbrush system but the sketch can. They have the same nibs though so they work the same for colouring.
*Is jealous* XD, I guess the person who stole your camera did you a favor kind of, You have a better camera now.
I heard you can use the airbrush system with copic ciao but only if you tweek it slightly, blue tac or something. >_< But that damages your Copic I heard. Have you ever tried it?
i wished they would say what kind of paper they are using, ive found that makes a big difference
