  • 20 numbers! 20 numbers! You've got 20 numbers of girls that you will never call, never go out with, never see in the daylight. You're a guy who goes out to get 20 numbers just so you can say that you're the guy who went out and got 20 numbers!

  • shit I just realised I never tried his chat up line(s)...

  • what would i give to be there...hope this ppl appreciate and realize they just witness the best vocalist to ever walk this earth beautiful soul layne staley

  • @MsJilsephonie Honestly, I would do ANYTHING to be there too...

To see Layne, Jerry, Mike and Sean. God, I can't express how lucky those guys are. There's never gonna be another Alice In Chains again. And people like Layne just don't exist.

  • What movie is this?

  • @Donkeyn00b Singles

  • @Longshot593 Thanks :P

  • All of the artists from the late 80's and early 90's were amazing!

  • Does anybody know of a link to footage of the actual band performance the movie took this from (i.e. doesn't have the actors or dialog)? That's how I got here btw.

  • GREAT songs. The soundtrack of my youth. Although I miss Layne, Jerry Cantrell has always been an awesome songwriter.

  • - the song touch me i'm dick is about what?

-I think touch me i'm dick speech for itself.

  • 0:06 epic jump. YAY!

  • i like it!

  • i get goosebumps everytime Layne screams YEAAH!! and starts banging his head to this song. I want to see Alice in Chains live bad. if they come to my town I will see them because even with Duvall I love what theyre doing..... but I WISH... I WISH I could see them with LAYNE.... the ORIGINAL LINE UP. GREATEST OF ALL TIME. LAYNE FOREVER. BEST VOCALIST OF THE 90s

  • now, i give Kurt all the accolades in the world. Nirvana was the face of a generation, Nevermind beat Michael Jackson on billbord top 200!!! I think Nirvana is just so big that theres a legion of fans, as well as a legion of critics and haters. Like it or not, Nirvana and Nevermind blew up HUGE!! now with that being said, I still think Layne is WAYYYY better of a singe than Kurt. For me the best band outta seattle is playing here!! ALICE IN CHAINS. JERRY and Layne = EPIC. R.I.P. LAYNE!! LUV U

  • I was 13 when this movie came out and I absolutely loved it. There's a good movie titled Airheads and its got great soundtrack too. It came out 2 yrs after this movie. Prong, white zombie, motorhead, anthrax, primus, candlebox and other great bands of the 90's featured on its soundtrack. Good times... good times.. :-)

  • @Lemmicus05 This is a Cameron Crow masterpiece, and it broke the music scene wide open.

  • @SuperPlanetk Interesting comment. It never would have occurred to me to use Cameron Crow and masterpiece in the same sentence.

  • 1:26 those people agree with something AIC says so they nod their heads.

  • The only flaw with this scene: Who the fuck talks during an Alice concert?

  • great movie best moment IT AIN'T LIKE THAT

  • How ironic that the band is performing a song that is about - I assume - breaking up with your significant other, when you just *know* how this romantic-comedy is going to end. -__-

  • Laynes banging dreads are kick ass.

  • Love how a guy is wearing an OBITUARY shirt behind the main actors!

  • @kozmicblues14 - Aaahh I can't believe you put GnR into a list of grunge bands lol it's cool if you like em but grunge they aint m8

  • its with matt dillon great thing

  • Great movie

  • I want to punch the shit head in the month(Alice In Chains is playing)

  • 3:20 Alice in Chains are playing "Would?"...Why the fuck would you wanna leave then?!

  • I wish they would stop talking so I could hear the damn music

  • Nirvana = good band...AIC = GRUNGE GODS!!!

  • Kurt Cobain could not hold a candle to Layne Stayle's pure genius and bone chilling voice. This comment is undebatable.

  • @radtitz44 apples and oranges

  • @radtitz44 Indeed!

  • @radtitz44 I'd only add that a good deal of that "bone chilling voice" includes Jerry Cantrell. He comes up with a large amount of lyrics, vocal melodies as well as the "non-traditional" harmonizations that he sings. I count him to be a "Co-Lead Singer" as opposed to providing simply background vocals.

...and we need some type of "Special Edition" of this movie with the full versions of the AIC songs as a bonus feature - it's not like they weren't taped in full.

  • @radtitz44 it is quite debateble actually...

  • Layne slays !!!

  • @radtitz44 Nice troll

  • @radtitz44 wtf duz that even mean

  • @radtitz44 how about both were incredible singers? this question is undebatable...

  • @radtitz44 Im sorry but im gonna have to disagree. Cobain was a fucking geius. Noone could put such masterpeices in such easy to play songs than cobain could.

  • @radtitz44 pls dont spit on Kurt retard

  • I wish you butthurt Alice in Chains fans would stop putting Nirvana down just because they got more attention, fucking hell. Nirvana > Alice in Chains.

  • i like it aint like that as much as would personally but u woulda thought that they had those 2 songs reversed with would getting the intro scene and it aint like that playing in the backround during cliff ponce's interview

  • @myPAINisSELFchosen85 yai didnt get that either

  • Id kill too see layne live

  • @ilikemetalx I would too...

  • During the 90's (I had twenty something) born great bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana,Candle Box,Soundgarden, Alice and Chain between another. And now we have pieces of crap like Lady Gaga and Bieber :P. God I miss the 90's!!

  • :D:D:D:D:D I never went to a grunge concert (sadly :() ,but I'm sure people weren't able to have a nice little chat in the middle of the crowd

  • alice in chains better than nirvana? dont make me laugh! its a stupid fucking film aswell. at least nirvana had the class not to appear in it.

  • @dreadedwheat26 LOL Nirvana classey. What a stupid argument, saying one band is better than the other. Nirvana were absolute crap musicians and Cobain couldn't hold a candle to Staley dude. Then again, Cobain was a great songwriter, maybe one of the best ever. So, there's no way to say one is "better" than the other. Each is good depending on the mood your in, but Staley blows most every other singer away, so I'd take Alici in Chains live anyday.

  • @investmjr i wasnt saying one was better than the other. a.i.c and nirvana aren't even comparable as far as im concerned. they dont have much in common apart from seattle and heroin addicted frontmen. i wish people would stop making ugly comparisons about seattle bands.

  • yeah ,fucking amazing!!!

  • Layne, we miss you everyday.

  • Touch me I'm Dick!

  • Nirvana was definitely overrated. they were a good band and all but Alice In Chains was far superior than all the other grunge bands in my opinion. Soundgarden comes very close and then it's Pearl Jam. i would put Nirvana slightly bellow Pearl Jam.

  • @r4scuache you cant compare soundgarden, pearl jam, alice in chains, and nirvana, especially nirvana,,, they were all too good to be true thank god for grunge man

  • great movie. 1992 I was 18 & single lol. This is how it really was, people really dressed like that & music was good to listen to as opposed to today. No political correctness, people smoked cigarettes & didn't get treated likecrap, grunge ruled, economy was pretty stable, then we all got old what happened?

  • @Anglynn74 what are you talking about! this was such a shit movie. contrived dialogue, shitty acting, very cliche. literally its only redeeming quality was this couple minutes featuring alice in chains. it's the only reason i would ever watch this piece of shit movie.

  • @Anglynn74 yeah I remember this move and those days but I was kid 9 years old but I do remember metal and grunge.

  • @Anglynn74 You are a very lucky person. im 14 in a Generation tha'st screwed beyond belief n music, pop culture, and economy! lol

  • @kozmicblues14 shit im with you there man im 15 going on 16 and i wish i went to high school in the late 80's and went on my own in the 90s but no i had to be born in the 90s and stuck with the shitty music on the radio nowdays

  • @bigdTE71or44 Yup I was born December 26.1996 It really sucks:( I hope people start relizing todays music isnt real music at all and we start having bands like Alice in Chains or even have psyhedelic rock again or even both because that would be awesome my Fave Grunge Bands are Nirvana, alice in chains, Pearl jam, soundgarden smashing pumpkins REM, Gnr, Blind MElon and Mother Love Bone.

  • @bigdTE71or44

me too. I always wished I had been born in the 80's or maybe the 70's so I could be just in time for all the waves of great music. Living in Seattle wouldn't hurt either.

  • @tinmanluver35 yep, i always say that i've been borned in the wrong place (about 4000 km) and in a wrong time (about 15 years). been a teenager IN seattle IN that time would been JUST FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!

  • @Anglynn74 ...wha'happened?....republicans....

  • @Anglynn74

    Amen... and Amen.

  • @Anglynn74 'Ιt ain't like that anymore....'

Unfortunately not, it's not like that anymore.. I am 16 now and I really worry about both present and future.

  • @ba773r1na We worried a lot about our future back then but we worried about what truly mattered, we didn't worry over smoking, drinking, drugs etc. but about the economy, politics, etc. There also was no internet or cellphones or tons of news cable channels back then so we didn't get info about all terrible things happening all the time therefore we didn't worry much. People today worry about what they shouldn't & not enough about what they should.

  • @Anglynn74 eah i always wondered if people really dressed like that normally or just for events and shows but i guess its true.. and i know what you mean, people always got somthing smart to say to any one who smokes nowdays. even when you mind your own business.. people are idiots

  • i actually saw this first on mtv before "singles". when is saw the movie, i thought "hey, it's alice in chains..."

  • i just saw the music video for "would" and at the end theres a poster and it says 'singles' so i type it in and its whole movie with like all my all time favourite bands!, but no nirvana :( oh well.

  • Cliff Ponce' was fucking god. Best lead singer of all time

  • ACTUALLY LAYNE AND KURT HUNGOUT FOR A WHILE. IMAGINE SEEING THAT SHIT LIVING IN SEATTLE. YOUR JUST WALKING DOWN THE STREET THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THERES THEM TWO. I WOULD BE LIKE HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

  • @notavailableisnotava Totally agree!

  • RIP Mike ☼. Your demons were fierce. Hope you have peace now.

  • RIP LAYNE AND MIKE at least now you are together making music in heaven!

  • RIP Mike

  • the song touch me on dick lmao

  • from whitch movie is this??

  • (Kind of knew guy here) Is this a movie and do AIC have a dvd called The Seattle Sound or something?

  • LMAO!! My favorite Alice in Chains..love this movie

  • What fool decided to take the camera off of Layne? He looks amazing in the footage.

  • @Jlo83live you are absolutely right!!!

  • @MissSnickers or anyone do you know if this scene was filmed at RKCNDY in Seattle? I recall reading somewhere it was but need confirmation. thanks!

  • @jtdiver yes this is at Rock candy..I used to hang out there all the time...its not there anymore ..lame

  • Great, now every time I see an episode of "Closer" I´ll be thinking: Kyra, man, you heard AIC live and LEFT the bar while they were still performing?!?"

Don´t know what they pay her to play in that movie, but I know there´s no money in the world that could keep ME away from that bar, with Layne on the scene, no matter what the script says....

  • @tanjicca

    *paid

  • "20 numbers! 20 numbers of girls that you will never call, never see in the daylight. You go out and get 20 numbers so you can feel like a guy that can go out and get 20 numbers!"

  • 0:07 made me scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i cant imagine nirvana on this

  • @guilhermecarneiro1 well, they wasn't like this mtfuckers (im saying it with love) lol. Nirvana was awaken about what could happen if they showed up in that movie. . Underground Dead :D

  • @Adefesio94 mate, PJ looks so stupid here. I think they just went down my rates. This movie is shit. The problem is that i love Alice! But i guess they were only great musicans, not myths like kurt

  • @guilhermecarneiro1 why isnt NIRVANA in this movie???????

  • @llHyRaXll - They weren't part of that group of friends. No history with them. Alice, Green River, Soundgarden, MLB, MudH, etc. were all friends who hung out outside of the music.

  • @charmpoprox oh wow i wonder why not.. did they want to stay away from otehr groups intentionally

  • @llHyRaXll they would of thought that sort of thing was shit and not done it

  • @llHyRaXll /watch?v=rSb-qw9hxdM

  • dude jerry has the most kick ass back up vocals

  • Wow, such cool footage :)!! Alice In Chains at their best

  • Fuck this I want to go to 90`s

  • @DioShiver

the bar is always desired 10years back from the current year.... are the times getting worse? i see it as more of a stalemate with nothing large enough to inspire creation. We will see in the future... Did you ask? well... no, but whatever....

....I wanna live in the 70's lol, lower $numbers, more ignorant bliss, refreshing revolutions

  • - The BEST!!!

  • Oooooh Jerry is so sexy here.

  • oh layne

  • actually it would be option D.....nobody can hear jack over the band , so no use talking anyway.

  • Very nice meet Asian beauties **lushfmlk.info**

  • Dammit! Why couldn't I have been an adult during the Seattle Grudge Scene. Hell, I would have settled for being a teenager then. Stupid 1982 :-( birth year! lol

  • jaja q hijos de puta en una parte a un loco le preguntan por un tema q se llama touch me i'm dick por el tema de mudhoney xD

  • I miss the 90s. I truly do. The music was really good and it had meaning and heart. I miss regular clothes - jeans and boots - on a Saturday night. I miss feeling a little twinge in my heart when I heard the lyrics in songs and and men of rock with no shirts on. Mostly, I miss my youth cause I had no idea it would slip by so quickly.

  • @TheAnnexGal the 90'swere awesome!...lots of good times.....one......

  • the bands just a bit harder than the crowd - ya think and the act comment wtf

  • <3 1:15 - 1:22

  • rip layne man you are so missed and i pray for your'e soul everyday.

  • @dirtysouthgirl100 what do you think about the so called new alice in chains?

  • @215toonz i don't like it haven't heard alot of it, but hearing that new singer singing songs that were met for layne. i know it's not his fault but he needs to leave laynes shit alone then maybe i'd like them.

  • 2:49 the best band !

  • huh is this baut alice in chains or what

  • What movie was this called

  • @joshbusby1 singles

  • jerry and layne were like mccartney and lennon of the 90s

  • I know it's a movie but it's a real fucking shame when the legendary Alice in Chains is treated as "just another bar band" or background music.

  • Is that Starr or Inez playing bass?

  • @HaroldTheDog That's Starr.

  • whoa the band looks great in this scene, but if I was to judge the whole movie only by this part, I'd say it's crap...what the hell with the audience? and what is this cheesy dialogue?

  • makes me very sad i couldnt get to see them...damn i need a time machine

  • @soldier7291 well when you make one tell me i cause i'm coming with you.
